- The dimensions of all aircraft carriers of every nation right on your displays!
Aircraft carriers cover allied ships from above, perform reconnaissance, and attack enemies with various types of squadrons.
This ship type doesn't have main battery guns. Their primary striking force is attack aviation, bombers, and torpedo bombers. Aircraft carriers are perfect scouts that are capable of spotting even the stealthiest ships for their team.
We're going to shed some light on those differences in our new video by showing you the aircraft carriers of all nations and comparing their sizes. We review and compare World of Warships aircraft carriers that were actually laid down, built, or launched in real life.

why did you massacre cv gameplay, i used to get 2-3 kills easily now my goal is to not get screamed at by my teammates
So I'm guessing hiryu and taiho and Essex don't count wargaming even tho they were in your game for 3 years cus you were too lazy to rework them and instead added paper russian and german carriers

Conversion work barely started and she was very far from being operational as a CV.

You forgot Bogue, Independence, Essex, Zuiho, Hiryu and Taiho.
And RTS CV gameplay which is a few thousand times better than this flight sim... thing.

Yeah, it's weird when WG put completely paper design CV rather than expand what they had with odd tier CV before (I mean the model is already there isn't it?)

The US and Japanese CV lists would be longer if it had not been for the CV rework. It was still a good comparison video nonetheless. The subs will be the last size comparison video in this series once they release.
And whats missing? The top of japanes CV building IJN Tahio and the most important US CV Essex... and why? Because we keep adding paper ships instead of trying to integrate actual ships to the game
All the American carriers existed though?
Playerbase be like: We would like to have IJN Shinano, she was a real CV in wo2 and it would be fun to see her in action....

@@aronpro2065 yeah completely true, and overall they are stupidly overpowered... I got one today in the enemy team, tha t8 techtree and it drops 14k dmg per attack squadron and there is nothing you can do about it

It's interesting that Enterprise was notably lighter (20k+ tons) compared to other large CVs of comparable length (which were around 30k-40k tons).
Her full load was over 32k late war.
Enterprise didn’t have an armoured deck which prob saved a lot of weight
@@NGBRADLEY1991 She also was a purpose built carrier rather than a carrier conversion. Lexington CV-2 and Saratoga CV-3 were converted from battle cruisers due to the Washington Naval Treaty.

There is Midway on display in San Diego which I had a chance to tour recently. It blows my mind how big that ship really is and to think it was in service 80 years ago.
Most countries don't even have ships of that size to this day.
They forgot to add in historically accurate, Soviet-era carriers capable of fielding wings of aircraft, featuring pilots with 300 plus confirmed aerial kills and who have participated in numerous dogfights in their highly successful and widely secretive naval air campaign against the germans. Honestly. SMH.
They need its model in the game to include in the video. "Aircraft Carriers in World of Warships", not all of CV of ww2

I miss the old cv way I wish you could make a choice on what you wanted to use but there were some changes to both

Is this only carriers that existed/almost existed? If so, Weser technically could have been there, as she was in the 90% completed area, from conversion from Heavy Cruiser Seydlitz
conversion work barely started. She was almost finished as a cruiser, not a carrier

@@Axel23410 yes, and I’m saying that Weser/Seydlitz existed more than just in plans like those, but was an actual hull at least, rather than drawings and diagrams on paper

Her conversion was almost entirely paper. The only work that was done was removing some of its superstructure. Nothing else.
Weser as a CV is paper.

With this integrated an "operational" & good rework for this class and games ;). This count for model planes too. (fortunately this video arrived before Russian CVs, there would have been only the ocean x) )
However "why not" for german, present Weser and Erich Loewenhardt ?
Weser existed (ex Seydlitz, Hipper Class), unfortunately the conversion was never completed.
Erich Loewenhardt, is GZ class planned 1937/1939.

It was in the game a long time ago but they removed it for haku since shinano had like....a 40 plane hanger
@@bladeclanhalo3 That is the trouble with trying to put Shinano in the game, she'd be a pain to balance or need some hefty gimmicks to deal with the fact that she's basically an aircraft repair depot and delivery ship, despite being so massive.
who says you need to add shinano as she historically appeared. just put her in the game as a hypothetical fleet carrier

Love those video series but a pity a lot of ships are always missing even if they are in game.
The Imperial Japanese Navy ship Shinano (信濃) was launched, as was Italian Navy ship Aquila, and French Navy ship Béarn was afloat although interned. Also, the Royal Netherlands Navy ship Rapana was operational. Other than these, great video!
None of those were in the game by the time this video was released.
I still miss the old carriers. But still great video!
Can u change tier IV,VI,VIII,X and start the CV's in tier VI, VII, VIII, IX, X? More confortable for low tiers and don't need to "balance", and more changes to see a new Game play

I think that the most beatifull, overall well composed and elegant cv is the Implacable, followed by Enterprise, from port view, analysing every cv from every angle i think that is the most esthetically pleasant among the historically builed ones

@@MisterCaprisun what’s the problem? It’s limited to 1 or occasionally 2 per game so it’s not like we’d have more per game, it’d just add more variety.
@@horsecrazyviking7121 He hates aircraft carriers because he is a noob, since there can be 5 destroyers per game and no one complains but there is 1 carrier and everyone is alarmed.

Why are some Japanese carriers and the whole German line missing?
Because the German Cv’s (exept Graf Z.) and Hakuryu (my favourite CV though) where never laid down and hit the seas. However... Shinano is what comes very very close to Hakuryu we have in wows... and yeah indeed those odd tier CV’s... wg didn’t care anymore abt them lol. 😕

GZ was only waiting for planes; it's probably fair to include her here. Weser... well the cruiser that was supposed to be converted into a CV was almost finished I guess lol

The reason that the rest of the ships are not there is that they were only plans(drawings),that never came into being,that is they were never manufactured,so they are not in the video.

What were the biplanes called on the Langley
was the purpose of this video to show CVs that actually existed, because I noticed a serious lack of a Hakuryuu when showcasing the JP CV along with the Soviet CVs and the German line of CVs, or is it *supposed* to be CVs in WoWs?

You know I wouldn’t be as mad at WoW for making premium ships cost 30 to 100 bucks if they let us walk the decks of premium ships and look at their hangers, bridges, engine rooms, bunks, turrets and all

As much as you can argue GZ is not, well, there are still pictures of it at sea, that's quite real enough.
@@yamatoseb Well, not really at sea, but close enough, she never moved under her own power. Once they're in game, there's only two more CV's to add to this list anyway, Béarn which was actually completed, and Aquila, which is in much the same place as Graf Zeppelin. Only one sort of missing is Wesser/Seydlitz as she was half done for the second time by the time the war ended.

On this serie they have been pretty consistant, the size comparison videos only ever included warships that had been launched.
I'd go as far as to say it's because for a good portion of their paperships, there isn't even a mention of an official size.

She was never laid down... i still think she’s a very pretty CV. The closest thing to Hakuryu that has actually hit the waves is Shinano.

Carriers, the main ships in the Pacific Campaign in WW2, and an effective force in the Atlantic, showed their value and became the most valuable ships in the fleet, replacing battleships (which are still pretty cool)

HMS Audacious was built but her name was changed to HMS Eagle.
Technically HMS Audacious was real carrier.
