I heard on some platform this story before but the guns wasnt dropped randomly. Certain people got into from inside sources that the guns was on a train in a train waiting to be shipped or was just waiting for them to pick up. Said it happened repeatedly for a while.
I'm sure they been doing this since forever because that's how basically every city does it here in the south and they been doing it here since forever.
I as a Young gangbanger over 40 years ago witnessed crates of guns sitting abandoned on the railroad tracks behind housing projects on the Southside of Chicago! And not only were these crates being found on train tracks but we found boxes of ammo, guns, and explosives in locked & unlocked freight train cars... Now, who in their right mind would ship high powered military grade weapons and ammo in commercial train freight cars? No those weapons were for us because in 1979 what teenager could afford such expensive weapons? Many of us at that time knew that this was being done by the FBI.

Shit my pops was blackstone and used to tell me about the crates in the hood. He jugged from mi city indiana to the chi and had mad stories about about banging and signaling from rooftops "for situations" that needed addressing.
Like my mom said, you could be in the hood but not be of it. I lived in Robert Taylor’s. I lived on the southside. I lived on the west side. I used to be around the gangs. But never joined. Conversations like this make me really appreciate my mother for the things that she did do that kept me away from even being interested in that lifestyle. And I don’t judge people who are in that lifestyle. I was afraid of them back in the day. so I just learned how to move around them and stay away from them. My situational awareness skills for them was very high. Very high. Seeing them bully others, because I was fast and they couldn’t catch me and they didn’t shoot at you when you ran either, that’s what made me become the police. I wanted to protect others that could not protect themselves. I just didn’t know how. So I decided to become the police so I could.
I'm from California but live in NYC and the suburbs of Chicago. NYC gun laws are intended to make you give up on the process. They make it almost impossible to legally own a gun in NYC. Illinois gun laws are great. However, there is not one gun store in the Chicago city limits. The city doesn't allow gun sales. So none of the illegal guns are coming from the city. They are coming from the burbs and the train routes. Chicago is top 3 most beautiful big cities in this country. It #1 for me. It has one of the cleanest downtowns of the big cities. The food culture is amazing. The rooftop parties in the summer are amazing. The black women are beautiful and don't even know it. There is so much more to Chicago than the violence and gang culture.
You're right! One major progress Illinois made is right off the cuff of Chicago is its first Black Owned Gun Range 7410 S Harlem Ave Bridgeview Illinois 60455 Called StanMorr Sports Inc. The brother that owns it. Is right from the Westside of Chicago.

Real story here in South Chicago I got two crates of SKSs in 1998.
