What state and city is your practice? I'm in Branson Missouri area. I wish we had more caring and smart doctors here like you. I've been going to an eye doctor for a year and a half with no relief. I sometimes get the impression he doesnt care and he's milking me for my money to keep me coming back.

Excellent lesson from this Doctor. I am not a doctor, was just interested on the problem 3 or 2 years ago because of the symptoms of face and scalp itchiness , when room lights are out before sleeping. Got 80 percent better after taking out grains , sugar, dairies out my diet. Demodex seem to get hyperactive when you are eating acid forming foods. One way to draw them out is saturate your body in sugar-milk paste in a dark room for hours and quickly go in hot shower. Gets rid of more than few.

Can you please give us a slit-lamp video where you show us your observation of the telangectaisa and the cylinder shaped scurf? I have heard that the magnification is 16 for the slit lamp. Please help us to see this in video form. Also please show us healthy Mibomian gland workings and dysfunctional glands and how they look. Thank you for informing us of this much so far. It is appreciated and there are some very proactive patients out there who honor you !

The doctor is mentioning some medical terms that are very foreign to me. If the lid swelling or the lifting goes down, does that mean that demodex is dying there? Also, what is that white stuff at the very base of the eyelash. When I use tweezers, I can remove it. It looks like white dandruff. Heat kills demodex about 136 degrees. Can we kill them with heat somehow?

Yes. They are ubiquitous. The only variation is the numbers of them on each individual.

Vincent Sayer I know. It's creepy when you see what they look like under magnification, but consider that humans have wriggling, moving bacteria all over the body and that it never goes away, and is rarely felt. Microbes are so small that they are never seen unless highly magnified, so remember that and you will feel better.
