I agree that a female vocalist can likely do a better job for all eras of Rush. A counter-tenor called FatManRedemption has an excellent acapella version of this one. Dude can beatbox like you would not believe.
Are you friggin kidding me? I was just thinking of this song today. An ounce of perception, a pound of obscure! Love this tune! Rock on Modern Day Warriors!!!
Same here. I can't stand Geddy's voice. Nothing against him personally he is a phenomenal musician. This girl's voice is perfect ( and she's better looking than GeddY ).
Neils' amazingly intellectual lyrics combined with the masterful musicianship to make masterpieces of music like this! You guys are absolutely incredible at covering these Rush songs and thank you!!!
My fellow Rush fans, we can give Modern Day Warriors way more love than a thousand subscribers, right? It's time to help this excellent tribute follow in the footsteps of the original: underappreciated and unrecognized for far too long in the beginning only to achieve critical mass and blow up later.
I honestly never thought I would hear anyone cover a Rush song that didn’t just make me wish it was the original, but you guys killed it! And part of what was best about it was that it sounded so natural. Not like you were trying to imitate Rush, but rather playing the song fully within yourselves. It was different from the original, but still great. Loved it!
LOVE YOU GUYS! Been a Rush fan and Neil Peart worshipper since 1976. I love the way you capture the spirit of Rush's radio in your covers. Well done. LOVE the vocal delivery in this one - you really bring out the soul and the melancholy in the track (that note you hold at 4:25 ... sweeeeet!) And with those specs you even LOOK like Geddy! Eliot - great GREAT job ... can't be easy "daring" to emulate The Professor. Signore DeCicco - sei un maestro! Thank you RUclips algorithms for bringing me to you!
That was so cool! And Karl looked like he was having a phenomenally great time "slappin da bass." It's too bad it didn't last - gonna miss him. But I do look forward to seeing the new bass player in action.
We appreciate everything Karl did for the band and we will miss him too. I can assure you there will be many great things to come with our new bass player Marcus as well.
Once again, great attention to detail! Like the alternating delay on the guitar (second verse), the great bass solo, and of course the singer's glasses!!
Just outstanding! I watch this video multiple times a week. I don't understand why it doesn't have a ton of likes. My favorite track on Moving Pictures.
Just came back to this channel. Amazing Great Stuff! This band is so respectful and true to the Masters. Yet They Remain True to their selves and have produced an Original Experience !! Even tho it's a cover ! ! This is still Very Fresh. Long Live Rock. Be it Dead ! Or , Alive ?!?!
I like Rush now...again...….Rush had amazing music your band is amazing,,,,,, you make classic rock great like a great movie timeless your band could of been in the 80s or 90s or now or in 400 years from now
Esta es una de mis canciones favoritas de Rush me recuerda aquellos días de secundaria. Saludos desde Monterrey, México. This is a my favorite songs from Rush I remember these days of school. Greetins from Monterrey, México.
Just subscribed and have listened to many of the covers. This is my favorite so far. Super clean and the best vocals performance yet. If you ever tour California look up The Siren in Morro Bay. They like to hire good tribute bands.
HOLY COW!! :) That was amazing !!! EVERY piece, part, note, everything is just perfect !! It is like the 4 of you are supposed to be receiving the torch from Rush themselves, as they retire, or something .. PLEASE DON'T break up this chemistry you have - for about 40 years . . . :)
This was great! That bass tone rocks! I saw in a message below that he's leaving the band. That sucks! He's crazy awesome! It'll be tough to fill his shoes.
Thanks for watching! We're very thankful for all of Karls time spent with us contributing to what the band is, Im sure everyone will be just as impressed with Marcus when we get a chance to make some videos with him. But for now we still have plenty to release that we recorded with Karl. Thanks again!
This was almost perfect! It has been a while since I last listened to your covers but I can clearly see that you keep getting better and better. I've been enjoying your playing the most but this time the vocals sounded excellent too. They were mixed very well with the music and there were just the right amount of effects added to them. I just watched your cover of Distant Early Warning and somehow the vocals didn't sound as good as they sound here. In this song they work really well! I was very impressed how the Instruments sounded in this song and in Distant Early Warning. The drums are sounding better and they're played very well. The bass playing and the guitar playing is impressive. It's sometimes not easy to find (or preferably to create yourself) the right kind of synthesizer sounds but you do it well. I've enjoyed some of the creative ways that you've used those sounds in all of these covers. In here the sound of the synthesizer sequence had a similar kind of timbre but is more snappy than the original, which is fine. The high string sound in the bass solo part and also at the very end was just the right kind of sound you needed. It reminds me a bit of the "string machines" or "symphonic ensemble keyboards" of that time when the song was made. I own a few of those old string machines myself. One small thing I noticed was that the last note of the synth sequence is different. It doesn't really matter because it works well that way too. (When the bass is playing the first time in unison with the synthesizer they both should play the same note at the end.) Anyway, excellent work!
Excellent! I'm an old Rush fan and I love the addition of the stoner deja vu trip repeating in the beginning of the song. Nicely played. Fun. Also the singing really caught the vocal style. So on point. BTW in case you can't tell this song has always been my favorite, mainly because of the complex drumming involved in it. They did that like no other band. You ever thought of doing any APP covers? How about the one off Eye in the Sky that has been used for the basketball team. Surely that would bring a lot of YT views your way.
Fantastic rendition, you guys! Bassist, turn those humbuckers up, wanna hear that crispy Geddy tone for the outro! I really enjoyed the attention to detail with the tempo and tone of the echo for the "warm memory chip" part, I was waiting for it! (poignant and tasteful of Rush to put this in to punctuate the mood of the song!)
I liked the glasses. Looked like Geddy's on the original video... nice touch
Awesome cover.
One of my favorite Rush tunes!
Awesome thanks for watching!
me too!
And one that's rarely covered. Can't find a version from YYNOT.
Excellent.
Another great cover! Man...if a band is covering RUSH a female singer is PERFECT!
I agree. Geddy did sound feminine at times. It's not a bad thing at all.
I agree that a female vocalist can likely do a better job for all eras of Rush. A counter-tenor called FatManRedemption has an excellent acapella version of this one. Dude can beatbox like you would not believe.
love the nod to the video with the singer at the mic with her hair and glass - (right from the studio)
Are you friggin kidding me? I was just thinking of this song today.
An ounce of perception, a pound of obscure!
Love this tune!
Rock on Modern Day Warriors!!!
Thanks so much Claude!
One of the best covers I’ve heard on this classic, bravo!
I really have no idea why I’m subscribed to a Rush cover band, but I dig it.
We dig that you're subscribed!
Because they're awesome! Doesn't everybody love Rush? 😎
Same here
@@HighPower762 RIGHT ON BROTHER!!!

Month after month I keep coming back to watch this. You guys are impressive. Much love from California.
Y’all killed it, great job and so faithful.

That was great! Vital Signs is also my favorite song off Moving Pictures as well!
Thanks so much Pete, it's a great tune!
That was absolutely fantastic. Stunning vocals. Superb musicianship.
One of their greatest tunes done great justice, Thank you M.D.W.!!
Once again, great attention to detail! Like the alternating delay on the guitar (second verse), the great bass solo, and of course the singer's glasses!!
The best rush covers band hands down
Tahnee, you captured the "pleading" quality in Geddy's voice perfectly
The Best from MODERN DAY WARRIORS, Rush Cover, I like this verse
Had a Saddle Pulmonary embolism over the Holidays. Now this song has a hi degree of New meaning to Me.!!!
Fantastic!!!
Baita banda! Adorei vocês! São muito bons!

One word Guys...BRILLIANT.
Excellent job by everyone...But Karl killed it on that bass. EXCELLENT JOB!!! Like No.20
Thanks so much nutt1674
Agreed!
This is really awesome, all around great playing and very enjoyable, excellent work!
I don't know if it's the tempo, key or the studio. But one of her best vocal performances, an awesome job all around.
She even looks a little bit like Geddy Lee 🙂 (in a good way)
excellent loved it
Thanks so much!
Enjoyed this cover. Eliot, Bradan and Karl do a faithful job and Tahnee adds nice vocal character.
You are very strong to resume this piece.Congratulations!
I like Rush now...again...….Rush had amazing music your band is amazing,,,,,, you make classic rock great like a great movie timeless your band could of been in the 80s or 90s or now or in 400 years from now

Top demais !!!!
That was tight, thank you!
excellent
Thanks Todd!
Sublime
Love this one :) I know the older stuff tends to be more "classic" sounding, but would love to hear you guys do Roll The Bones :)
best song ever
Wow, I actually understood every word of this song, unlike Geddy where even after 40+ years I don't know what he is singing.
Nice cover
Nicely done. "Everybody got to evalate from the norm." Still don't know what "evalate" means but Geddy sings it so it's got to be a word.
Elevate
Sweet
Excellent ! Great cover once again !
Cheers! Thanks so much!
Alright, that was very, very good! I was so bored at work but you really gave me a boost. Love you guys.
Happy we could help, thanks so much for watching Brian!
Well done, and glad to see you back after a change!
Really enjoy this - maybe you'll come to Montreal so I can enjoy it live. :)
We'd love to and hopefully that will be the case at some point in the future.
