You don't realize how hard it is to sing rush songs until you see cover bands doing it. Good job all around.
It makes me feel soooo good to know that this music lives on in another generation. Please keep doing what you're doing, it is as important as Beethoven or Mozart. I'd like to think that this music will still be appreciated in two or three hundred years.
I've been to 9 Rush shows over the decades, starting with Power Windows. I feel as if I've seen Mozart or Beethoven conduct their own symphonies and now see others' interpretations of these works.

I listen to a LOT of Rush cover bands. I've even seen a couple in concert. MDW are my favorite. Yes, the singer is beautiful, but more than that...her feminine voice is perfect for these songs. I like the arrangements that are crisp and a bit raw. It does not need to be perfect. They play with passion, and that's what's necessary. And while it has nothing to do with the sound, it heartens me to see young people in their 20s covering this great band. Rock n' Roll is for the young.

Agreed Elmo Blatch...though New World Men does excel a bit in front of MDW, there're vocals (by the drummer) are quite more polished.
I am not even in my 20's, yet. My bros and me are thinking about forming a band, The Opossum Paralyzers, dont ask about our name...

I obviously have a special love for the original versions of Rush's songs, but these guys some amazing. Love this version.
I specifically searched for "RED BARCHETTA BY FEMALE COVER" and yours was the first to come up. I started playing drums in 1981 because of this song and Rush. Hearing this song by a female for the first time, and having done it so well, brought tears to my eyes (I'm 56!!!). Thanks for that. Great instruments all around. Rush would be proud.

One of my favorite Rush tunes. I watched a Karaoke video of this song and realized how incredibly challenging it waste sing, forget about that register. Not many guys could sing those songs. You guys, and girl, nailed it!!
I thoroughly enjoy all the Rush tribute bands. It definitely fills a void. I do not envy any drummer that tries to step up. Those are some big shoes to fill.
I played this song (and the moving pictures album for that matter) as a 13 yr old kid with my brother in our basement back in 1983. Hearing you guys play this brings back awesome memories and reminds just how influential of a band Rush was to me and your performance of this was nothing short of amazing. You nailed it. awesome job!

Seen other rush cover bands. And some of the musicians were as good. But this is the first singer who has NAILED IT. not just singing the words but with the passion and feeling it was meant to have! Awesome!

THIS sounds damned good. now that geddy, neal , and alex have officially retired you have to keep their music alive. would love to see you come to the buffalo ny area someday. my wife is a huge rush fan. some of the best music written in any genre. keep growing and getting better dont give up.

On the plus side, I LOVE the fact that these young and talented musicians are fans of and tackling some of the most challenging songs, by a band known for difficult arrangements and odd time signatures etc. Keep up the GREAT work all of you!
@@LordAbriel She could use a bit more emotional emphasis in certain words but I thought she did better on this song. She's got Geddy's essence down, it just needs a touch of refining.
Can you imagine the odds of four Rush geeks coming together and it just so happens the vocalist is a really pretty young woman? Infinitesimal doesn't begin to describe it.
Magnificent. I'm fifty-eight and still remember the first time I heard Rush -- it was 2112 from the All the World's a Stage live album in 1976. One listen and I was hooked (and still am, all these years later). Played bass in a three-piece garage band in the very early eighties, and we (tried to) play several Rush songs, though they were hard to do well. Great to see Canucks doing Canucks proud.

Ok, was not expecting to like this, but... it's freaking great. I know she's just singing and not multitasking like Geddy, but damn, I love the vocals. And the band are tight af, and it all sounds just killer.

TheModernDayWarriors Official I think it's also because I can see how much it means to you, also. The first video I watched was Xanadu. So before the vocal comes in, you're so so nervous. That makes you very human. I have a song called 'Hands up if you're human'. I like to see people like yourselves who aren't robotic. I'm now deciding to play along on keys to Subdivisions.
Rush blow me away, your band are a true and beautiful echo of that brilliance that makes me emotional.
