just remember to have a little bit of space between the snake skins. IF they are touching, good chance the water will drip though the snake skins. Other than that looks like a blast. I also really enjoy the mountain house meals.

Yes-found you have to tighten those burners to the bottle quite a bit to open the Valve

dismaldog-William I agree, but I'm super cautious of over tightening things. My brilliant wife mentioned that since it got a little chilly, perhaps the rubber seal was a bit stiff and required a bit more strength the get it to compress. I think that is definitely a possibility!

YakkelBerry the one i had before the jet boil was like that. I just took off the big gasket and it worked fine with out it. Kind of swear by the jet boil now though. Love that thing.

    You camped with the ruggers!
Ruggers are the people that stay in trailers with BIG rugs, and call it camping ;)

Buckeye in a yak They we're some loud Ruggers, they NEVER went to bed, I had to use earplugs. This is a babystep to the real deal. Need to find a guy who has some land to avoid the Ruggers :)

lol..... It was a good first step, and video. We've family camped at a couple private primitive campgrounds at canoe livery's, and really enjoy it. Lots of trees, no pavement, along a moving river, and no lights to look at in the dark ;) Never any trouble with other campers. It's like they are camping for the same reason we are. Looking for remote camping for next year I found this guy talking about camping in US National Forests (dispersed camping). Pretty good video ruclips.net/video/Y-PuTnw1lbg/видео.html. I also found a couple places on freecampsites.net I'm going to look at for next year. Might be a couple options for you to look at to get you out of a electric campgrounds. Good luck!

You like your new tarp vs the Kelty

Monkey N Around Both have their place. I have the 12ft Kelty. The Hennessy hex fly is rolled up into my snake skins and deploys with the hammock quickly and easily. In case of it raining when I setup the hammock, I can keep stuff dry. So, once I’ve “opened” up the hammock and can quickly stake out the rain fly, I usually don’t bother with the Kelly. But, I wouldn’t get rid of it for nothing, especially since I got mine on a deal for 47!, I did use it on the New River Trip, where it looked like a Kelly rainfly Farm, I kid you not, it was awesome. If I didn’t have one, and I had my Hennessy, I would buy one on the next deal that came, no doubt.
