If the garment becomes waterproof by having all of the fabric's microscopic holes sealed, is it safe to say you've created a completely unbreathable garment? If so, how possibly can you then wear it without subjecting yourself to a steam bath?
I’ve been seeing a lot of this method here on RUclips. I love how well it works, but my biggest question and concern is…is there a risk of the chemicals being used leeching into your skin?

While you're not incorrect, I used this garment on very cold, rainy days with low activity. It is meant to keep me dry while puttering around camp.
Do you have an update on the garment?
it still repels water even after three years of use.

@@chrismead1464 Check oput the new method! Parafin wax and mineral oil. Works just as well and non-toxic!
the mineral oil is very flammable. use care with this technique.
pro tip - if youre gonna recommend gloves, you should probably take off the watch too
