First Aid for a Wounded Wing #bushcraftadventure #firstaidtips
Oh noooo. I fell and hurt my arm. It's probably just a sprained elbow, but we should limit mobility none the less. Let's make a simple sling.

Paracord Panic
Просмотров 191Месяц назад
Has this ever happened to you...? You decided to unravel a small coil of paracord to fix your camping tent. But within moments, the cord seems to take on a life of its own, multiplying like spaghetti in a pot, winding around your fingers, wrists, and ankles. As you stumble and flail to free yourself, the paracord somehow loops around a passing bird, which swooped down in panic, wrapping you fur...

fair enough lol.
Commendable. I'll stay subbed, and we'll see you out there once Gabby learns to stay.
She has a lot more to learn than "Stay". lol. Thanks for the support, Dino.
Oh, shit, my trick wouldn't work! Way too far away.
Your advice/survival hack will be demonstrated in an upcoming video! I love learning new tricks from my valued friends and viewers. Stay tuned.
You are always getting me excited to go camping again!
Perfect time for the video! I am going on a trip and as always, learnt a lot from your videos. Keep up the amazing work my firend.
Zena is too cute in this!
I’ve been seeing a lot of this method here on RUclips. I love how well it works, but my biggest question and concern is…is there a risk of the chemicals being used leeching into your skin?
I hadn't thought of that, but now that you mention it...
@@chrismead1464 Check oput the new method! Parafin wax and mineral oil. Works just as well and non-toxic!
the mineral oil is very flammable. use care with this technique.
🔥
Do you have an update on the garment?
it still repels water even after three years of use.

Why are you using an axe to split? Axes are for cutting. Splitting mauls are for splitting.
how many heavy tools you wanna carry on your backpack? I ask because it does the job and I am in the back country most of the time. Mauls are nice for a homestead, but this works for what it is and does.
@@snakeriverbushcraft9228 I mean, how many times do you need to split wood that big when you don't have a vehicle you're planning on moving it out with? What are you planning on doing with the wood if you can't get a vehicle to it? It's not really a big deal to throw a maul in the back of the truck. If you split a lot of wood for your job, carrying a maul is going to be a hell of a lot easier than trying to split wood with a bit that's designed to cut. If you just want to split some wood for a campfire or something, it's way easier to just do that with a big knife and a stick. A big knife is already fairly handy in the back country anyway, you're not even going to notice the extra weight, and you can get a stick pretty much anywhere you have wood to split. I have a cheap QLD 18 (basically a kukri) that works great for it and it doubles as a knife and triples as a particularly light hatchet. If you truly need digging stuff, just get one of those military surplus fold up shovel things. They're super light and they give you all the digging capabilities that gives you. You don't need a rake. You really, really don't need a rake that heavy if you're walking around with it all day. If you happen to want a rake for some crazy reason, just grab a couple of tree limbs with lots of stiff branches. There's your rake.
Cool, can't wait to see it in action!
Happy Pride Be Bold Be Proud Be Yourself Love your channel.
Always! Thanks for the viewership!
Hope ya have a safe surgery and speedy recovery! Definitely take care of yourself
Not many videos on the max axe I paid $80 from a surplus store . A few years later I was at a inside flea market and found the tool kit $20
It's an incredibly versatile and robust tool system. I'm glad you found a good deal on one!
@@snakeriverbushcraft9228 I did I’m thinking about getting the updated version. The back of the axe head is more flanged like a sledge hammer. So when using the axe as a hammer you have a better striking surface
your swing technique is bad , look at some more experienced axe man
Fair enough. Just got it. I'm used to a hand axe, lol.
Like a true bushy admit to your short comings and practice practice and practice we all need to do the same
Happy Pride!
Happy Pride, bushcrafter!

I would buy it again. Top plate hasn't warped after all these years.
Grats on the move! And good luck finding those new sites
Pine needle tea, nettle tea, mint tea, they are all good things to know, nothing keeps spirits up like a hot cup of something, part of the reason i always keep a couple of oxo cubes or bovril cubes in my emergency kit, beef broth or tea is both nourishing and replaces lost salts but its tasty when you're stuck somewhere and can keep you going mentally.

Pine tea was the first thing after fire I learned to make while camping.
Great advice!
Del shared your channel with me 😊 I'm from Colorado and am incredibly outdoorsy. I love your content. ♡ thanks Sean!
