    Thanks for your interesting comments and insight, I am very much looking forward to seeing more of your videos. I fully agree that the Croatian jury did not act in a very professional way. As a swiss person, On the night, I was really scared that Croatia would finally win by less than 8 points (the amount swiss jury gave croatia), fortunately that did not happen.
    In any case thumbs up for Baby Lasagna, who showed a lot more class than the croatian jury, as he graciously clapped when the final result was announced, even though he must have been the most disappointed person in the whole arena.

      Baby Lasagna definitely proved with his actions he should not be associated with these tricky judges ;)
      The new videos are coming soon 😉

    The Code, from Nemo, was a fair winner song. Iconic, well performed, nice message, nice music. Well done Nemo, you're very sweet and shinning 💖💫. But Sweeden didn't give Nemo the deserved stage in the final performance, after being announced the winner. They just give them the trophy, an extra micro and let Nemo there. The brocken trophy was iconic too, after all this mess eurovision year 😉💖

      They are definitely a very well-deserved winner!
      You are right, last days before the final were just hilarious. Nemo breaking the trophy was like a cherry on top of this cake of disaster 🎂🍒😅

    Highest scoring jury song of all time of points per country , 10.14 points per jury ( 10.4 excluding croatia), which exceeds loreens record last year of 9.444 by a long shot . To put into perspective how many points Nemo got if this was 2018 with 43 competing countries, they would've gotten 400+ points from the jury

    • @JustESCAnalyst
      @JustESCAnalyst  3 месяца назад +1

      They simply did not have any competition this year. I think this year the countries especially went for televote friendly entries since the success of Käärja and considering the fact, that there are no juries voting in the semi-finals. In any case very impressive and interesting to see they would have scored over 400 points with an amount of voting countries like in 2018 👍

      @@JustESCAnalyst The juries were likely very impressed with the way that Nemo was able to change up their vocals the way they did all while running around the stage, jumping off of and spinning around on that disc prop without missing a beat to reward them with all those points (I'm a little suspicious about the Croatian jury because looking at the results, 3 of the 5 jurors had Switzerland in their top 10 - Nemo would have gotten points from them had jurors C and D not ranked them 12th and 21st respectively). I voted for Switzerland as part of ROW and despite getting 5th in the televote, I was elated that it was still enough points to push Nemo over the finish line

    Do you think the jury was completely fair? In particular for Israel, for example?

    • @JustESCAnalyst
      @JustESCAnalyst  3 месяца назад +1

      I think for Israel it worked both ways. Some juries have ranked Israel too low because of politics, but some others too high because of the whole situation with bullying and so on. You know, I love this entry, one of my personal favorites, but objectively this type of a song is not something the juries would usually put in their final top-5

    Jury rigged it again. Boring and anticlimactic

      Was not one of my favourites either, but I can perfectly understand why juries went for this entry 👌

    We should reverse the order. Make semis 50/50 and make finals televote only. That way higher quality stuff will go to the final but the contest won't feel rigged as happened in last two years.
    Regarding the fact that 30 years ago it was jury only, it couldn't be any other way. There were no cell phones, hardly any internet and even landline phones were frequently pulse dialing. Something like a televote could only use the more advanced tone dialing and stable computerized systems. In old ESCs even the voting was a hard procedure with those unstable international calls that frequently disconnected. Their cost to an ordinary person was very high - up to 4 current day Euros per minute and often required and operator.
    A funny fact regarding the old days, one of the biggest traitors in American history, Aldrich Ames, sold secrets to the Soviets to cover his wife's international calls bills among his reasons to do that.

    • @JustESCAnalyst
      @JustESCAnalyst  3 месяца назад

      You are absolutely right, that in the past it was simply not possible. But you know, between 1999 and 2009 Eurovision final results were determined only by the televote. What was happening between ex-Yugoslavian and ex-USSR countries was simply unfair. Countries like big-5, Ireland, Switzerland were suffering a lot and stood no chance to be in top-20 if they were not sending top-5-worth entries. So I can definitely see, why we re-introduced the juries. Now actually the number of countries from both of these blocks significantly reduced, so having 100%-televote would not be a bad idea 👍

      Because of that I didn t see eurovision for a long time It was unfair vote only with public . Voting for their neighbours for exemple
