My head ALWAYS lifted on my downswing(40 years of it). Now I just shift my hip backwards to start the downswing, now my head drops Just like Tiger or any pro. So cool. Just Like magic.
Not sure I missed it and apologies if I did, but you don’t appear to cover lateral movement, pre hip turn. May I ask what your view is on this as my coach wants some, doesn’t have to be much, lateral movement on the down swing?
Lateral shift is essential but it happens as you turn not before. If you turn/bump first without the initiation of hip turn/depth, you will lose hip tilt and slide resulting a terrible ability to rotate
Thanks for that. Trying to lateral shift has always turned into a sway. I just went out to my net and didn't even think about a lateral shift and it happened by itself. After watching your video I also realized I was actually too laid off. A little focus on butt of the club pointing straight behind me and I was crushing the ball. Way less effort for a much better strike. The ball was firing into the net. At 64 yrs old and old dog can still improve. Thanks again.
