I have already lost 30+ pounds since I began my keto diet plan. The recipes mentioned in your video are definitely easy and I will add them to my plan. Keto is actually delicious when done correctly.
I have $35 a week for groceries. Eat a lot of eggs, frozen green beans (super cheap). Last week of the month, I'm boiling my chicken bones for 10 hours, then adding carrots, celery, onion and ...oops, some lentils.I also add a diced potato (Yes, I KNOW!) I stock up on eggs, frozen green beans,spinach, celery, sardines, kippers, mackerel and sunflower/pumpkin seeds to help me stay at least low carb. That same week, I do some fasting and maybe a 2 day egg diet, just to balance things out. Eating only 2x a day also helps a lot.
Great video. As someone recently starting on Keto and watching a lot of RUclips videos related to the diet so far I have to say this is the best when it comes to the actual meal planning and cooking. Subscribed!

I've got back into it and lost another 1.5 kg this week just gone but I wish I stumbled on this video before I started thinking too much. Great recipes here but also (especially as a beginner) just reminds me to keep it simple. Good simple fresh food. Right. 10 KG down only 30 to go! :(

Gave me some great ideas to go for, not keto, but need to get back into eating healthy. Last couple of years have been hell, stress, injuries, and generally sucking at life. I will implement some of this with other things I have been rattling round my brain.

I struggled with the keto diet too much, I just felt exhausted. We're supposed to enjoy the food we eat and with keto that's close to impossible. That's why I tried the Agoge diet and it works great.

Mischelle Cameron fat is what keeps you full longer. It’s why intermittent fasting is so easy on keto diet. Follow dr Berg version of KETO - mostly low carb greens (a lot) and 3-4oz piece of meat (once or twice a day for meat) and add a bit of healthy fats. It kicks your sugar cravings too. With KETO I’m eating less meat than I was in standard American diet and way more veggies than standard diet. My favorite part is how my brain fog is gone and I’m getting things done.
Tell me about it it is very expensive I would love to do this diet and I'm trying I'm just doing things a little differently so that I can kind of get myself there I hope that makes sense
@@prouddaddyme6989 lol at least where I am most keto things are cheap, I mean a huge bag of chicken is like $10, a big box of eggs is $8 and butter is a couple.. you definitely do not need steaks and avocados to survive. (Avocados are crazy expensive here so I'm just assuming those are one of the things you guys think is expensive) but there's even vegan ketoers out there, so just know there are ways to get your fat and protein without having to spend an arm and a leg on meats.

I just think keto is expensive when you get into the steaks! At least in “Murcia” lol Our grass fed and finished beef is around 22$ per lbs. when you have 2 people on keto it get expensive real quick!! But.... it tastes so much better! Can you put a price on health or feeling great? NO!!!!
So these are the foods I can eat in the ketogenic diet! I can do this! I'm excited... I have mental illness, schizophrenia. I am going to try this diet to see if the diet lessens or even outs me into a remission from my symptoms and meds of antiphocitic nature... 😮😊😊😊

Idk about steaming the chicken. Steaming and boiling usually takes a lot of moisture and flavor from the chicken. Sous vide is a better option for water cooking if you must.
Unfortunately you can't combine keto diet and vegan meals. Keto diets are based mainly on animal fat. I've been following this diet for quite some time now and I've read a lot of materials on it. I've also asked for recipies for a friend of mine who is a vegan, but even dietologists say they can't make acceptable recipies. Plus it might be dangerous for the body.
I don’t understand why is everybody so excited about Keto diet. This is just the new name for a 30 years old diet. I was using it 30 years ago in Europe and I still using it. It is the best diet .

I am a type 1 diabetic but I am addicted to carbs. I can't get past the first 4 or 5 days attempting a keto diet before I cave and have a carb fest. I justify it by saying to myself that I'll just use more insulin and the high carbs won't matter. Of course that's not a good way to think. This video simplifies it for me. I find it hard to shop even with a list because I eventually stop looking for what I went for and begin to add things to my cart willy nilly.
Del I'm a Type 1 Diabetic and RN (Diabetes Educator), and feel where you are coming from. But if you can push through that first week, you'll never look back. I tried Low GI, I did the eat and pump extra insulin thing, my health was crap. I went Keto and it's changed my life. I'm down to 10 units of Lantus, and 6 units of Novarapid per day. My last HbA1C was 5.9 and my GP made me redo it because he didn't believe it was accurate, as it put me in the range of a non-diabetic. I feel more energetic, my memory and brain function has improved, couldn't be more happy. I still drank sugar free cordial to stop craving sweet tastes, had keto snacks ( cheese sticks, pork rinds, pecan nuts) available to tide me over, and they helped in the initial stages.

hey, chef here. the term for spooning the butter over the steak (in this case) is called basting, it can be done with any fat and is probably most commonly done with eggs with butter basted on top in some dishes

Even with keto cookbooks that have meal plans in them,( i have 4 so far been on off keto for 2 years) I find they plan too much food and don't keep it simple enough or repeat enough. @@prouddaddyme6989 lol at least where I am most keto things are cheap, I mean a huge bag of chicken is like $10, a big box of eggs is $8 and butter is a couple.. you definitely do not need steaks and avocados to survive. (Avocados are crazy expensive here so I'm just assuming those are one of the things you guys think is expensive) but there's even vegan ketoers out there, so just know there are ways to get your fat and protein without having to spend an arm and a leg on meats.

Our grass fed and finished beef is around 22$ per lbs. when you have 2 people on keto it get expensive real quick!! But.... it tastes so much better! Can you put a price on health or feeling great? NO!!!!

Idk about steaming the chicken. Steaming and boiling usually takes a lot of moisture and flavor from the chicken. Sous vide is a better option for water cooking if you must.

Unfortunately you can't combine keto diet and vegan meals. Keto diets are based mainly on animal fat. I've been following this diet for quite some time now and I've read a lot of materials on it. I've also asked for recipies for a friend of mine who is a vegan, but even dietologists say they can't make acceptable recipies. Plus it might be dangerous for the body.
I don’t understand why is everybody so excited about Keto diet. This is just the new name for a 30 years old diet. I was using it 30 years ago in Europe and I still using it. It is the best diet .

I am a type 1 diabetic but I am addicted to carbs. I can't get past the first 4 or 5 days attempting a keto diet before I cave and have a carb fest. I justify it by saying to myself that I'll just use more insulin and the high carbs won't matter. Of course that's not a good way to think. This video simplifies it for me. I find it hard to shop even with a list because I eventually stop looking for what I went for and begin to add things to my cart willy nilly.
Del I'm a Type 1 Diabetic and RN (Diabetes Educator), and feel where you are coming from. But if you can push through that first week, you'll never look back. I tried Low GI, I did the eat and pump extra insulin thing, my health was crap. I went Keto and it's changed my life. I'm down to 10 units of Lantus, and 6 units of Novarapid per day. My last HbA1C was 5.9 and my GP made me redo it because he didn't believe it was accurate, as it put me in the range of a non-diabetic. I feel more energetic, my memory and brain function has improved, couldn't be more happy. I still drank sugar free cordial to stop craving sweet tastes, had keto snacks ( cheese sticks, pork rinds, pecan nuts) available to tide me over, and they helped in the initial stages.

Keep making these videos for all to share. As an RN who taught wrong info for years (We were instructed to do so...the lousy food pyramid), we are finally getting it right!!

hey, chef here. the term for spooning the butter over the steak (in this case) is called basting, it can be done with any fat and is probably most commonly done with eggs with butter basted on top in some dishes

Even with keto cookbooks that have meal plans in them,( i have 4 so far been on off keto for 2 years) I find they plan too much food and don't keep it simple enough or repeat enough. I end up buying and spending too much and stress and fall back to my regular eating habits. My body responds really well when im on keto and this has given me hope!
