For the battery tray and firewall area I used 18ga cold rolled steel.
      Thanks for watching!

I've seemed to luck out making that area. Buy heat and a rubber mallet
Some how luck and heat and force of mallet makes that area look right.
    It's a challenging area.
But a Black Belt in Fabrication
School of DIY.....you can get thru.
Your fix came out well.( No pun intended )
Ceramic Aluminum oxide sanding pad, really have been the game changer ,in weld grinding. I never grind any more...just put the ceramic ,alumiñum oxide
    Sanding disc's.
    Bamm weld is completely level.
Çeramic Aluminum Oxide disc's are a Welders Game changer !!!!

@@hcr-motorworks I've been building cars for over 50 yrs. Ceramic aluminum oxide Sanding discs "absolute game changer" never use a grinding disc EVER..

@@MindDezign Yea i've been using flap discs for years but havent heard of ceramic aluminum oxide ones.

@@hcr-motorworks flap disc, and normal 7" sanding discs. Blaze is a good one.
Let me tell you...I find things to weld, just to sand them down ,in seconds.
If your like me, grinding was always the work part, of welding
Now it set up and putting up tools...!

Another great video, thanks. Psst...your mask needs some new filters.
