Would love to see Chris's take on a L series engine. As in an L28 with triple carbs or even the L28et. Would probably be a longer build(and expensive) on the latter, depending on what power he wants and what he plans to do with it. Back in the days Electramotive was making north of 600 horsepower out of the SOHC L28et back in 1982.
I love these old Datsun's. Takes me back to when they were new.. Never see them now, not where i am anyway.. I'd love one if i had somewhere out of the elements to house it.. Nice to see it getting spoilt with some posh new parts. Great work ;)

do a viper v10 swap. someone has done one with a gen 2 motor on a 260z(little info is out there unfortunately), but it invalves cutting up the firewall a bit to make it sit back and fit in
It would be great to stay in the Nissan family of engines and somewhat period correct. I had a parts catalog from the mid 80’s that was selling a twin turbo kit, back then it was only around $1800. It would be a cool setup, with todays turbos, to do a hybrid style twin turbo, reminiscent of the future Nissan RB cars but with an L28. Maybe you prefer a bold in/on application but I’ve seen your team is strong in fab, so you could really make it cool. I have an engine just finished at a shop that has been sleeved to 90.5, stroked, old imsa race head fully rebuilt with the largest valves. It will be efi with EFI Hardwares pro race 50mm itb setup. I have some T3 parts and looking to add more, I love that they do the bc racing coils and brakes!! I need to find or design some cool 15’s, I have 14” panasports and finding larger breaks is an issue.
Im not sure if you remember my comment from 6+ years ago, it was featured in one of the weekly recaps with Tuerck. I’m still trying to put a vk56 in my 280z but at least I’ve got the full front and rear apex suspension ready to bolt in. 😅
How about an RZ34 out of the new 400Z? (I'm sure someone, somewhere has crashed one already) Or the "ameribarra" 4.2L chevy inline 6 out of a trailblazer (turboed of course!)

I love seeing what people are doing, but I always want to do what the shop and I would be cool! Plus reading the feedback from everyone has been awesome. I’d much rather do that then stick to trends. Makes it more fun for me personally.
@chrisforsbergracing quite a bit of power but it would be cool to see the s30 chassis with the most modern z technology in it. You have some of the best suspension you can get for it on there. With some custom stuff in the engine bay to show it off a bit, it would look amazing
Nah, that’s not shutter speed. It’s always 180 degrees on my big camera. This is on a Canon R6 with the settings on auto, but shutter speed is always double the frame rate. When the garage door is open it changes the exposure drastically and the camera tries to compensate as fast as possible, but so does talent and life lol. Get me? I’ll try to remember to catch some B-Roll of those moments to help out. Sometimes it’s something I simply can’t replicate. The pains of filming.
2 questions. Are you building a second car? I can see a wrapped second z next to the comp car... and 2 whats up with all the vains in your forehead? dang!

As far as engine options, my vote goes to a rebello 3.2l with a datsunwerks kn20 head.
FutoFab ball end , tension rod, is the best tension rod design out there! For the S30
I think an L28 with twin turbskis, or a turbo ka like professor m. issles old missile car would be dope

I've got a turbo Vr6 3.2 lt in mine. Sits behind the x-member. Much lighter than the L series.
Aussie built RB would be the purest and most fitting option
L28 with some sauce.
I reckon a 10,000rpm N/A 13b would go nicely in Blue Member, freshly imported by P.P.R.E. 😎

Recently rebuilt my pick up's diesel engine, busy working on the suspension. Going for a full resto mod.
A RB25 or RB30 would be cool to see or even a V8 from Nissan. Great video as always.

Rb25det maybe? Probably a little cheeaper than rb26, itd stay an inline motor, and can put out good power without too much weight added
That would be preferred as well. I’m leaning towards an in-line motor but I’m also not against moving to another option.

S65B40 or B44 would be my choice, could push it back as close to the firewall as possible. Also the sound ITBs ..
