Kevin! Thank you so much for sharing your collection and thoughts with your audience. I really appreciate your support and enthusiasm. Enjoy!!
Of course man! 🤠🤘
I don’t have any jack knives yet. You’re right they are pricey. But they are so nostalgic but very modern and refined at the same time.
Thanks for the kind words!
Super jealous of the gunslinger Dood! That wood grain is lovely
Glad you like it!
Man that Gunslinger is really nice. You’re right, it does have a very classic/old school knife look to it, but also has a lot of modern fidgety type mechanics to it as well. That gives it this really unique hybrid style, which I’m really digging. I have to have one of those.
Thank you for the kind words!!
Thanks for your experience with JWK. Take care Doody.
Ive been eyeing his knives for 3 or 4 years now, just never pulled the trigger. Maybe if he releases another laid-back jack I'll pick one up
Thanks for the consideration!
I've said it before and I'll say it again. GRAIL KNIFE. Maybe someday I'll pick one up. Good video Dood. Thanks
Thanks for the kind words!
Ive got 2 gunslingers.. v1 in fat carbon... v2 in checkered ti... LOVE them... there is nothing like em... the thin hollow grind gives a unoque TING when you open... the Checkered ti is alot more solid so it doesnt make that sound... I dont own any slip joints.. But Id love to experience a Jack Wolf slippy... Great video.... its cool to hear the story of how it all happened... i think I even remember seeing your first Jack wolf slip joint video...
Thank you as always for commenting and for your continued support Fred!! You're the man!
Morning Doods! The Gunslinger in on my list for sure. I really need to chill on buying knifes for a couple months though. Picked up an orange peel Tuya Shocker before bed and saw a community post about a Padre restock when I woke up and snagged one of those too! Lol being a knife junky isn't cheap man. Love these Jacks though....
I was addicted to knives so bad I finally had to just start a knife company lol! Thanks for the consideration brother.
@BenBelkin The man himself! You make beautiful blades brother. You single handedly changed my perspective on "traditionals". I still need to have a lock, hence my attraction to your Gunslinger. Keep it up dude!
GREAT video Dood. Love the Gunslinger as well, I have 3 Slinger, A Feelgood, A Lil Bro, and a AfterHours. But I think my Lil Bro takes the cake. Love em ALL ! ✌🏼😈💜
Thanks dood!
Yeah I love my lil bro
That's an awesome collection brother, thank you for the support!!
@@BenBelkin Absolutely Brother, Glad To be Part 👊🏼👊🏼
I just won't carry a slippy but I absolutely love the Feel Good and the Cyborg...
Take the plunge!!! Just Kidding, but thanks for the kind words!
@@BenBelkin I'm the one who owns his v1 gunslinger ;)
@@paullmight42 sweet!!!
About time you woke up. We’ve been waiting!
I just got into traditional knives a few months ago, skipped over the modern slip joints, but the more I see jack wolves I may need to snag one
You should! And welcome to the traditional side of the knife world 🤠
Welcome to the slipjoint sickness!
I would love a locking Vampire.
Io nella mia raccolta ho un HSK MACHINEWORKS LENNY'S CLIP e un Medford gentleman jack.....spero di prendere presto un Jack Wolf....veramente belli! 🤙
Thank you for the consideration!!
i have my first jack wolf coming in the mail monday. im looking forward to comparing it to my c risner ouhio river jack
Cool video - I enjoy my Jack Wolf Knives (I have 7 including the ironwood Gunslinger). I agree - the quality is there but I try to pick up less than retail - whether from eBay, from 20% off sale at retailers, there was nice 40% off seconds sale at TSA knives where I picked up a reverse tux titanium Sharpshooter. These are great knives and I’ll continue to buy more, but I probably won’t buy during a model release unless a model and scales combination really sings to me.
Thank you for all the amazing support!!
after hours is on my grail list for sure. i got the midnight as a consolation prize but still.
The After Hours would pair great with the Midnight!! Thanks for the support!!
I was lucky enough to snag a jigged vampire for $226.99. It was on sale and I had $13 in store credit. 🧛♂️
Nice! That might be my favorite one
SCORE!!!
I also have the blacked out vampire! 🙌🏼. Can you tell this is my favorite model lol
@@Aaronrjasso That's awesome!
Good morning Doods!!
Really wanted the Gold dark matter or the Wood gunslinger... but they sold out so fast... so next was checkered ti... Does the Wood one TING? Im imagining itd be a bit heavier and slightly more solid that fat carbon... but no where near as solid as checkered ti which eliminates the TING sound... Its sounds obvious but something I didnt consider...
18:50 and the next flick made the TING...
I have a Ironwood Slinger that TINGS on every open .. I tried to post a good short on YT without noise so u can hear the crispness. 🖤👊🏼💨
The regular Reeve finish is sand blasted
I sold my big bro jack in a momentary lapse of judgement and regret it. I’ve been considering buying a couple more in a couple of weeks. Maybe matching big and little bro jacks. After buying a holt haptic this week, I need to wait a short time lol. But holt blade works is the pinnacle of flipping action imo. There’s nothing like it. I personally get like they dump on Koenig action.
I just recently tried a Holt for the first time, you ain’t kidding! Smoothest knife I’ve ever tried
Thanks for the additional consideration!
I have 3. Love them all but i think the jigged low drag jack is my favorite. They're definitely overpriced but people are buying them so why not. I personally think reate is the oem. I have a superlative comanche which is reate made and it's finished exactly the same. Titanium finish, grind lines, back spacer, etc. The comanche is really big and has more details like a shield and they charge $275.
Interesting! Might be
Hello! Reate is not my OEM, but they did OEM the Comanche. I have a lot more wrapped up in the packaging costs then Superlative does. Thanks for commenting!
@@BenBelkin Thanks for the reply Ben! Thought I was on to something 🤣. But not a smart move on my part to spread misinformation. Whoever makes them does an incredible job. I've had no regrets purchasing the 3 I have and will certainly be adding more to the collection. Appreciate your interaction with the community. Cheers!
@@fulton1688 Thank you for the support brother!!!
Bolster on the gen 2 gunslinger is also subtly chamfered compared to the gen 1.
Oh is it, I didn’t notice
Hey buddy how is it going!? I just wanted to ask you.. what app do you use to do the voice over on some of your videos? Like when you do your knife test..
I just use iMovie app on my phone. It has a voiceover option
have you cut tested a JW Slippy? i think i remember you doing the Gunslinger but my smooth brain cant remember if you did a slippy...
I believe I did the Laid Back Jack but I haven’t done them all. I should do the Sharpshooter
He did the Low Drag!!
Hi Kevin, It's funny you how you were told these cost more because of the packaging etc. As i have seen an interview with Ben, stating that the packaging is insignificant to the overall price. Funny that.
I love my Jack Wolf, but they are definitely overpriced,in my opinion and the secondary value is way lower.
Thanks David
Interesting!
David, first off thank you very much for the support and I am glad you love your knife. You will have to tell me where I said the packaging is insignificant, as I will have to review exactly what I said. I will go on the record right now and say the packaging cost is definitely a significant factor in the base cost of the knife and thus the retail cost of the knife. For example, I sell that same slip on my website for $20 and the cloths for $10. That is a $30 value right there. Above and beyond that, the tubes are not cheap, the art is definitely not cheap, all the other little extras contribute, and then there is a labor component to assemble and case pack everything. Not to mention all the time it takes my team to execute everything. I would argue they are priced correctly given the base cost, my reasonable profit and the dealer distribution expense. Nobody can work for free, so there has to be a profit margin large enough to run a business successfully. Beyond that I am not gouging, I am charging what I have to charge to make things work and make it worth everyone's time, including my employees and all my vendors. This is a matter of fact, the dealers make more dollars per knife then I do!! As far as the secondary value, well unfortunately that is the case for a lot of brands right now. But a lot of good deals to be had on the secondary if a guy is willing to vet the sellers. Thanks for reading!
Hi Ben, I need to find the exact comments you made.
But I'm pretty confident that on a podcast live on Thursdays, you did say that reducing the packaging, etc, would make no difference to the overall price.
If I'm incorrect, i apologise and will remove my comments.
Thanks David.
@@Mid-Knife-Crisis69 Thanks for the reply! You can leave your comment so people can see my stated position, I think it can be seen as helpful. There is no way I could remove all the packaging and not have it affect the price. I mean I could throw it in a fifty cent box and still charge 300 but I wouldn't do that. It would definitely bring the price down,.
why is the lettering blacked out on your left hand? if you dont mind me asking.
It used to say DUMB
Sorry I ain't going to watch you channel this time and I'm going to put a dislike on this one I don't like Jack the Ripper of knives Jack Wolf because Jack the Ripper Rick me off big time nearly 600 quid and that was without posting so please don't expect me to like it sorry for being truthful but it happened and I've still got the two knives and one I do my when I do my own channel they are going to be the first to get it big time
Are you baked on drugs lol?
I would like to handle one before buying, because they are rather pricey, well worth it im sure. If i was to buy one itd probably be the Midnight Jack.
We bring a large selection of samples for people to check out at the knife shows we attend. Have you ever been to a Blade Show?
@@BenBelkin no would love to make it some year. I saw wmk had the midnight jack at a discount, might have to snag one up. Work some ot, but I'm sure its well worth it.
@@jacobvermette491 Let me know if you do!
@@BenBelkin if I go to blade or if I order the midnight jack?
