Here here! Loved that "niche" legends of heroes trails of cold steel theme! Appreciate the person organising the whole thing, his love for video game music shines through. Also the whole thing was amazing
Why do you think that video game music is so underrepresented with professional musicians? Every video game concert I know is always the same three tracks from Mario Bros, Zelda and Kirby, sometimes iconic main themes like Fire Emblem or Halo or something of the sort. There is sooo much good video game music out there and musicians rarely care enough to interpret it; this is actually one of the more nuanced portrayals that I've seen. It's like if you went to classical concerts and always heard Beethoven's Fifth or those operas that Bugs Bunny cartoons made.
you gotta play the greatest hits right?, most of those concerts are made for the "gamer" audience more than the people who appreciate music in videogames, so it's understandable
@@mrzapatrapa1 as a gamer myself, I'd love to hear more variety of game music pieces, even if I wouldn't know them well; if I learn new music and it is from the game - great! I'd prefer dream chaser, but you know what? Every FZero/FZero X song is amazing, so I'd be glad with whaterver reharmonization
Big Blue is good but it's been done so many times, I'd rather hear another song from F-Zero
Oh wow I'm sure u also dislike autumn leaves, giant steps and almost every jazz standard or pop song... Jeeeeez #jazzcatdetected #givethismansomerandomjazzchords
Marcelo Gadelha how bout just a sungazer album that’s just f-zero reharmonizations?
This video displays the value of musicians who really know how to put songs together. This is like a portfolio for why you're asking for x amount of $ for whatever gig you're playing. So much talent packed into a small corner of a stage.
I love when I can see some quality drumming on this channel
Dominik Shamanism i know right?
Adam this is maybe your best-edited video to date! Such a pleasure to watch from beginning to end, and Zac is maybe one of the best band leaders I've seen.
Editing of this is amazing. Not only is the transition is perfect, but the mixing of both as well at times like the "applause" moment. Nice.
Wow, the editing really helps to understand the process. Thank you Adam
I've played this video repeatedly to listen to the music. With several of these I wish there was a long version. Especially the Civ2 music. It's just awesome to hear that music skillfully played with physical instruments.
It's funny because at first I had difficulty recognizing things, and I often have difficulty with things being different than I'm used to.
Agree... didn't know Civ2 had some sick tunes, only played Civ5 and its music is great
This is unbelievable professionalism from all musicians involved. Great work from all these guys!
Thank you, Adam! Very Groovy!
Feel the groove, man!
Nice job on the editing, @AdamNeely!
Being a huge fan of Overwatch in general plus Carolina Ravassa (voice actor of Sombra), I actually got a little emotional seeing her walk on stage while this rendition played. Nicely done!
This video was surprisingly well edited, what a cool channel to stumble upon.
ONE OF US! ONE OF US! ONE OF US!
I love watching your show because I wanted to be a pro musician when I was young. I got sick during my studies and had to go to hospital. Never found my way back into it. But I miss it a lot. So I'm living the musician life through you and others on RUclips. Thanks Adam!
I love the way you edited this. haveing him explain the music in sync as were listening. so much fun
godlike sync @ 11:30
watch the screen as the hamster hits
feels so good
Wow. Thank you so much for that
Great tunes! Wonderful arranging! Excellent performance! Also, a great exposition of just how professional musicians rehearse. Well done Adam! #playsober
This is just such a great video in every way. The lead guy is a musical genius. Everyone is so good at capturing the true emotion that's intended by every piece. The editing on this is flawless so props for that. In so many ways this is just such a high quality video, I'd say easily your best one yet. It's a real shame that RUclips doesn't promote this sort of flawless content anymore because this is fantastic.
Kudos to Zac Zinger for directing and arranging such beautiful pieces, & thank you Adam for letting us experience such insight into what goes on BTS. Bass 👊
Man, that was an amazing performance. I would go to the awards just to watch the band play!
Also, loved the editing on this one. That overlap between the idea and the execution was beautifully done.
I always find myself coming back to this video. Such high quality content. Such masterful editing.
I'm so glad we got another gig vlog. I miss those.
Adam, I have been a full time session/touring musician since 1980 and this video blows me COMPLETELY away! (Great editing, btw) This is like watching footage of how the Chunnel being was built. Or the pyramids for that matter! This is absolute proof of what the highest level of musicianship looks like on any given gig! Well done sir!
This style of editing was absolutely captivating to watch. Rewatched it. I never rewatch vlogs!
I would buy an album of this.
I'm always blown away by you skill in bass and just gigging in general Adam amazing stuff.
Also the guys in the band seemed super chill, funny and focused major props they did amazing especially Zac.
Can we just take a step back to appreciate how amazing the editing on this video is.
Great stuff and amazing video with super talented people. Congrats Adam.
And btw, Trails of Cold Steel is one of my favourite games, it's a pity you guys didn't choose the Dining Bar F theme (ruclips.net/video/h_2plNeRa2s/видео.html)
I need a full album of those Civ II covers, stat.
Hold on, let me LEGITIMIZE that.
I need a full album of those Civ II covers, stat.
I need a full album of those Civ II covers, stat.
I need a full album of those Civ II covers, stat.
I need a full album of those Civ II covers, stat.
Seriously. That was gorgeous.
"He's got that C sharp D" Holy shit, you're nerdy, lol. Wow. That was... quite something.
Rad video. Thanks!
That joke was not quite my tempo. (Whiplash reference)
*sweating
Seriously this is so god damn cool. I have an immense level of respect for you, Adam. God damn.
Almost a threat on your job, damn
Didn't expect to see you here! Your tracks for Crypt of the Necrodancer made it one of my favourite games =D
The preparation and the execution of this whole thing is mind-blowing and mesmerizing. I LOVE.
1 thing i learned from this video: Persona 5 has a bangin' soundtrack
True that
I hate it when I’m playing a chart and someone says “that sounds like persona music”.
Love the ost tho
ALL Persona music directed by Shoji Meguro, actually, are this level of quality or more.
@@Ismael-kc3ry when you’re playing fusion and someone goes ”sounds like mario kart 8”
@@mide8845 oh god 💀
Damn boy, it would be perfect to hear the full version of bowser theme 9:38
никита калугин same
where is this bowser theme from i wanna hear the original
It just sounded like a remix of the Super Mario Bros. castle theme to me
@@wanderingrandomer like a slower chopped version? maybe
@@dark3rthanshadows Yeah, pretty much. I was thinking it was gonna be his theme from Super Mario Odyssey. Bowser's theme changes so often between games, so he doesn't really have one for the series as a whole.
I love the huge representation of the music for the video game industry.
Tom Kraayenbrink becuz nerds are passionate nerds love to create and mold from the heart
I come back to vid every now and then.
Its just soo clean, always a satisfying watch.
you just hit my weakpoint ma bassy boy
*edit: your editing is so on point, good job
But actually, I rarely hear music from games even I play. Not every player stays withinn Nintendo hits all his life, so it's funny people are afraid that some other music won't be recognised
Disasterpeace - level has its own video on 8bit music theory good shit
Entire soundtracks of Homeworld and Mass Effect are killer
Sad truth is not a lot of people enjoy video game music
Practically everything about this video is amazingly inspiring. Gaming and music are my two biggest passions and it's such a pleasure to witness your playing here.
(That editing was SICK)
Congrats to your grad
drummer's technique is great... congrats to all amazing job!
Holy shit I love this format of video Adam, gotta have more of these in the future!
forget the musical composition, the way this video is edited and composed is a masterpiece
that's a killer gig! Broke a leg too.
And then ate something he found on the floor and his leg was healed.
This is one of my favourite video of yours, for the music but also the immaculate editing. This legit feels like a movie about a gig where we see the creative process behind the tiny details of the performance WHILE the performance actually happens.
This makes me appreciate gig musicians so much, nice job dudes
I love that bass tone so much
It is so nice.
Holy hell the editing in this is F***ing amazing!!!!! Loved it SO much
I really love the bass lick you do at the start of the “just cause 2” theme, idk why but it sounds super smooth and cool
