picked the same beef chuck roast for $4.99 a pound at stop and shop last week. stocked up on 12 of them, one of which i already cubed up for a big 10qt pot of chili and beans. we always buy what's on sale since we are always on a budget.
I do the same thing with Sockeye Salmon and Porterhouse. My local grocery store always offer 50% off "Manager discounts" to get rid of the meat approaching the sell-by date. Like you, the degree of the sale dictates the dinner!
@@tilltill2071 Wow, sounds like some good deals! I used to ONLY buy meat on sale and that dictated what we planned our meals around, but I haven't seen many sales here lately, unfortunately. Just the prime rib burgers and chuck burgers recently.
