Agent 8 is mentioned during the Finalfest, so the events of the octo expansion happen before splatoon 3 because splatoon 3 is after the Finalfest Splatocalypse of splatoon 2.

I’m probably gonna order pearl’s amiibo so I can get the clothes she wears. When you scan it you get the clothes she wears in octo expansion. I need to finish the single player story mode campaign to save Callie to use my Callie and Marie amiibos because I forgot that is what you needed to do to use the amiibo to get the gear.

There are no agents 5-7... if you payed attention, the only reason the octoling in the expansion is agent 8 is because captain cuttlefish wanted to shorten the name (Give a nickname for), “10,008.” This doesn’t automatically mean there are more agents we are unaware of, its just a nickname. If Pearl and Marina were agents, Cuttlefish would address them by their agent names, like he does with agents 1, 2, 3, and 8. Just wanted to point out the obvious to avoid people getting misled... sorry... I feel like kind of a d-bag for being a hater, but just statin the facts. I think people mostly make the incorrect connection because of: 1) the size, 2) the colour, and, 3) the fact that Libs is a statue, but David is only a painting, no? Please do correct me if I'm wrong on that last one. EDIT: just googled it, and I was wrong! The pose is still wrong, though. NILS' right arm is cut off, but reaching skyward. David's right arm is just sort of hanging by his side.
I think that Shiver, Frye, and Big Man will be agents 5, 6, and 7, since Pearl and Marina weren’t confirmed to be agents 5 and 6. Also, we know that Deep Cut will be in the Splatoon 3 story, since there was a cutscene shown in the Splatoon 3 direct with them in it.

Pearl and Marina aren't Agents 5 to 6. The basis of your theory that there is a secret Agent 7 relies mostly on that, which can't be proven. Cuttlefish sometimes referred to them (Marina, Pearl, Eight) as a selective, "Squidbeak" in the final boss cutscene, but if Pearl and Marina are recognised agents or not is still down to speculation. If anything, it's more or less a question of who Agents 5-7 are. Which STILL seems like conjecture. Remember that Cuttlefish probably didn't even know about Agent 4 at the time. At the intro, Cuttlefish actually came up with Agent 8 after Telephone told them about their identity as 10,008.

Ok so my theory on the final splatfests. So Marie won the final splatfest of Splatoon 1, and suddenly Callie goes missing-the other squid sister-at the start of the Splatoon 2 story. I believe that Chaos winning the Splatoon 2 final splatfest, there will be some element of Chaos in Splatoon 3’s story campaign.

Agent 8's number 8 is based on the 10008, not just that, It's actually because the 8 has to do with the octopus and word octo is based on the 8 and also the octopus has 8 tentacles. Agent 7 ain't a thing. Maybe for a future Salmoling DLC should be called Agent S because the S references a Salmonid and from the 1st letter of the game.

Agent 7 has to be an octoling because in the game Octo expansion, TarTar says we are applicant 10,008 but there has been 10,007 applicants so.... Agent 7 is definitely an octoling.

I personally think that Agent 3 met Agent 7 and went with her/him through the stations (so they could have been contestant 1006 and 1007) and didn’t fall for the telephone’s blender trick, so when Agent 8 went in it Agent 3 was close so he/she had to bust in. Agent 7 didn’t know what to do so he/she left. Either that or when Agent 7 saw the blender he/she went in without Agent 3.

fun facts the Wii U disc in the fossil that they found would probably rot away long before before they found it along with the liquid in the touch screen LCD in the Wii U gamepad and probably all the electronic components inside the game controllers and console would just rot away but I doubt the plastic housing would rot away
I have a potential storyline for Splatoon 3! And it gets a bit crazy. Okay, you start out as normal, choosing an Inkling or Octarian Form. You get to the Third Inkopolis Capital (Name not final) and instead of any recognizable figures, it's someone completely new that holds the passageway to the Story Mode Campaign. Following the new guy (yes guy) leads you to Octo Mountain. The New Guy reveals himself as Agent 7 and is enlisting help from 1(or 2) player(s) to battle the remaining Octarians once more. Plot Twist, Splatoon 3 Story Mode has Co-Op, where Agent 9 is an Inkling and Agent 10 is an Octarian. Agent 7 recruits Agents 9 and/or 10 to free the rest of the Squidbeak Splatoon from the Octarian Forces that are now amassing UNDER THE MOUNTAIN!! (The remaining Octarians living like Dwarves now) Buckle Up, it gets real. After completing Area 1, you enter Area 2, you don't find an open world, the first level of Area 2 is sectioned off from the others. As you enter Area 2 Level 1 you find none other than the Squid Sisters, wearing shades similar to what Callie wore at the end of Splatoon 2. It doesn't end there. Callie and Marie have 6 Octolings under their command while they play as Snipers from a top towers of boxes and you have 3 minutes to defeat them before getting splatted for real. Every 30 seconds, Callie and Marie will each launch a Special Move. Callie will give Bubbler to the Octolings while Marie will launch Tenta Missiles (paying homage to the Specials of Each Game). After rescuing them, they appear back at the entrance recovering for the next two Areas. After completing Area 2, entering Area 3 will have a similar premise, but instead of Callie and Marie, it's Agents 3 and 4, wielding some of the strongest weapon sets of both Splatoon 1 and 2, while also leading another 6 Octolings and launching specials every 30 seconds. This time, Agent 3 has Inkzooka and Agent 4 has the Splashdown. Another 3 minute time limit. Area 4 will actually have the Final Boss be Captain Cuttlefish and Agent 8, wielding Bamboolzer MK1 and Octoshot. Their Specials are Inkstrike and Stingray. They also have 6 Octolings under their command and yet again a 3-minute time limit. Entering Area 5 will have Pearl and Marina as hostages to rescue and also Escort them to the End of the Level, facing off against different Bosses, using their own specialities to help beat the boss. Killer Wail for Pearl, and the Inkjet for Marina, while using an Octosniper. After this, it's revealed that Agent 7 is a Double Agent, working with, you guessed it... King Octavio. Agent 7 is also the Single Pop Idol in Inkopolis Capital, trying to go with a one-squid show after getting the Squid Sisters and Off The Hook out of the way. You get to the Final Battle against Octavio and Agent 7, but as you enter the second phase, you are interrupted by a giant rumbling. Turns out, Sheldon in the background of all this story plot found and tinkered with some old Octarian Tech that ended up fixing up the Giant Octarian weapon that was incased in stone in Octo Valley, much to his chagrin. All of Agents and Captain Cuttlefish come together to battle the Giant Octopus Mech but can't quite fix the job until.... a familiar melody is heard from a Sitar. Everyone turns to see the Humanoid Form of Octavio, playing a Sitar and looking over at Cuttlefish. Cuttlefish understands and they play the ORIGINAL Kalimari Inkantation, rallying the Octarians under Octavio's command and the Squidbeak Platoon for the final battle (Agent 7 is actually a good member, just wanting the spotlight. He's ultimately forgiven as he learns to share in the Squidbeak Splatoon and joins the group for this common goal). Everyone destroys the Tentacle and Agent 9 and/or 10 deals the Final Blow before all 12 Inklings and Octolings combine their powers into one ULTIMATE Mega Bomb of Ink that completely destroys the Giant Mech. Problem Solved, and after over 100 years of bitter rivalry and hatred towards each other, Octavio finally lets his grudge against Cuttlefish die, becoming friends with him once more. Rematches against any of these characters will have new dialogue, mainly referring to the fight as 'training' for Agent(s) 9 and/or 10. Rematching Octavio will finally give you a three-phase Boss Battle, only this time ending with the Humanoid Octavio battling you with unique weapon only he wields: A Wasabi Blaster. He uses multiple types of bombs just like the player and his specials is an Ink Storm, raining down his color Ink in random locations covering up to 28% of the battlefield. Thoughts?? AI Levels for the Squidbeak Splatoon and Octavio are 20% better than the Octoling and Octarian AI.
Agent 8 is only a nickname given by Cuttlefish because of her 10,008 applicant number. Pearl and Marina were never referred to as Agents 5 and 6 (though I’m not saying they couldn’t get those roles after Octo Expansion). So I don’t think there is currently an Agent 5, 6, or secret 7.
Splatoon 3: Captain Cuttlefish gets kidnapped by some new species, and Lil' Judd or Marina gets brainwashed. You are the Harling (sea slug) protagonist known as agent 7. The great Zapfish dies/Loses all of its power and Mr. Grizz is revealed to be D.J Octavio. You have to team with him and create a new energy source out of the Golden Salmonid eggs. It is revealed that Captain Cuttlefish is Agent A, and the Squidbeak Splatoon only started naming their agents' different numbers(Agent 1, Agent 8, e.t.c) after Agent Z, and Callie and Marie's parents are revealed. Marie's parents are Agent X (Marie's mom) and Agent Y (Marie's dad). Agent X gave D.J Octavio the X-Box Scar, and she has one that she hides in her bun. D.J Octavio and Agent X have some Issues to work out, but in the end, there is this massive battle between all of the Agents(A-8) and some new species and Marina/ Lil' Judd. Those are predictions/theories. :3
My belief is Agent 8 was named 8 because of 10,008, I think that we will have a thing like the multiple character thing (speculation not leaks) where the characters we never played as before will have set weapons and then agents 3, 4, 7, and 8 you get to choose their main weapon and they all have to be different but they also stay for the whole campaign
If you keep pestering Marie in the Octo Canyon, she might start mumbling about "Finding an Agent 5". The intro to the Octo Expansion also have the Octoling as contestant 10008, it was shortened to Agent 8, cause the name was too long for him to remember. So Agent 1 and 2, with Splat 1 Agent 3, and Splat 2 Agent 4, the agent order is as it should be, the next game will probably continue with the trope of Agent 5 as the main character for the story.

Alright. So you got a few things wrong. 1. That “Night club” you mentioned on the sunken scroll, is the final boss fight from Splatoon 1 2. That Statue in Octo Expansion couldn’t be the Statue of Liberty. If it was, the hair wouldn’t be curly, it would be like a woman’s hair and it would have the huge arm with the torch rising up with it. It would also be green, seeing as the Statue of Liberty is made of copper. I believe it is just some Greek Statue, I don’t know which though. 3. The only reason your Octoling in Octo Expansion is called “Agent 8” is because the phone tells you you are the 10,008th person to use the deep sea metro and Cuttlefish just shortens it to 8. 4. Pearl and Marina couldn’t possibly be agents 5 and 6 because A. Cuttlefish deems you agent 8 before you meet Pearl and Marina, and B. Cuttlefish never once calls Pearl and Marina “Agent 5” or “Agent 6” he always calls them Pearl and Marina. 5. Spyke was always a dude. I don’t know where you’re getting the “female version” from.... That’s what I saw, tell me if I missed something....

There are no agents 5-7... if you payed attention, the only reason the octoling in the expansion is agent 8 is because captain cuttlefish wanted to shorten the name (Give a nickname for), “10,008.” This doesn’t automatically mean there are more agents we are unaware of, its just a nickname. If Pearl and Marina were agents, Cuttlefish would address them by their agent names, like he does with agents 1, 2, 3, and 8. Just wanted to point out the obvious to avoid people getting misled... sorry... I feel like kind of a d-bag for being a hater, but just statin the facts. I probably wouldn’t have commented if you just titled the video, “Splatoon 2 Story Timeline (And a bonus theory)” since most of the video just explains the story mode timeline.

Pearl and Marina aren't Agents 5 to 6. The basis of your theory that there is a secret Agent 7 relies mostly on that, which can't be proven. Cuttlefish sometimes referred to them (Marina, Pearl, Eight) as a selective, "Squidbeak" in the final boss cutscene, but if Pearl and Marina are recognised agents or not is still down to speculation.
If anything, it's more or less a question of who Agents 5-7 are. Which STILL seems like conjecture.
Remember that Cuttlefish probably didn't even know about Agent 4 at the time. At the intro, Cuttlefish actually came up with Agent 8 after Telephone told them about their identity as 10,008.

I personally think that Agent 3 met Agent 7 and went with her/him through the stations (so they could have been contestant 1006 and 1007) and didn’t fall for the telephone’s blender trick, so when Agent 8 went in it Agent 3 was close so he/she had to bust in. Agent 7 didn’t know what to do so he/she left. Either that or when Agent 7 saw the blender he/she went in without Agent 3.

I have a potential storyline for Splatoon 3! And it gets a bit crazy.
Okay, you start out as normal, choosing an Inkling or Octarian Form. You get to the Third Inkopolis Capital (Name not final) and instead of any recognizable figures, it's someone completely new that holds the passageway to the Story Mode Campaign. Following the new guy (yes guy) leads you to Octo Mountain. The New Guy reveals himself as Agent 7 and is enlisting help from 1(or 2) player(s) to battle the remaining Octarians once more. Plot Twist, Splatoon 3 Story Mode has Co-Op, where Agent 9 is an Inkling and Agent 10 is an Octarian. Agent 7 recruits Agents 9 and/or 10 to free the rest of the Squidbeak Splatoon from the Octarian Forces that are now amassing UNDER THE MOUNTAIN!! (The remaining Octarians living like Dwarves now)
Buckle Up, it gets real.
After completing Area 1, you enter Area 2, you don't find an open world, the first level of Area 2 is sectioned off from the others. As you enter Area 2 Level 1 you find none other than the Squid Sisters, wearing shades similar to what Callie wore at the end of Splatoon 2. It doesn't end there. Callie and Marie have 6 Octolings under their command while they play as Snipers from a top towers of boxes and you have 3 minutes to defeat them before getting splatted for real. Every 30 seconds, Callie and Marie will each launch a Special Move. Callie will give Bubbler to the Octolings while Marie will launch Tenta Missiles (paying homage to the Specials of Each Game). After rescuing them, they appear back at the entrance recovering for the next two Areas.
After completing Area 2, entering Area 3 will have a similar premise, but instead of Callie and Marie, it's Agents 3 and 4, wielding some of the strongest weapon sets of both Splatoon 1 and 2, while also leading another 6 Octolings and launching specials every 30 seconds. This time, Agent 3 has Inkzooka and Agent 4 has the Splashdown. Another 3 minute time limit.
Area 4 will actually have the Final Boss be Captain Cuttlefish and Agent 8, wielding Bamboolzer MK1 and Octoshot. Their Specials are Inkstrike and Stingray. They also have 6 Octolings under their command and yet again a 3-minute time limit.
Entering Area 5 will have Pearl and Marina as hostages to rescue and also Escort them to the End of the Level, facing off against different Bosses, using their own specialities to help beat the boss. Killer Wail for Pearl, and the Inkjet for Marina, while using an Octosniper. After this, it's revealed that Agent 7 is a Double Agent, working with, you guessed it... King Octavio. Agent 7 is also the Single Pop Idol in Inkopolis Capital, trying to go with a one-squid show after getting the Squid Sisters and Off The Hook out of the way.
You get to the Final Battle against Octavio and Agent 7, but as you enter the second phase, you are interrupted by a giant rumbling. Turns out, Sheldon in the background of all this story plot found and tinkered with some old Octarian Tech that ended up fixing up the Giant Octarian weapon that was incased in stone in Octo Valley, much to his chagrin. All of Agents and Captain Cuttlefish come together to battle the Giant Octopus Mech but can't quite fix the job until.... a familiar melody is heard from a Sitar. Everyone turns to see the Humanoid Form of Octavio, playing a Sitar and looking over at Cuttlefish. Cuttlefish understands and they play the ORIGINAL Kalimari Inkantation, rallying the Octarians under Octavio's command and the Squidbeak Platoon for the final battle (Agent 7 is actually a good member, just wanting the spotlight. He's ultimately forgiven as he learns to share in the Squidbeak Splatoon and joins the group for this common goal). Everyone destroys the Tentacle and Agent 9 and/or 10 deals the Final Blow before all 12 Inklings and Octolings combine their powers into one ULTIMATE Mega Bomb of Ink that completely destroys the Giant Mech.
Problem Solved, and after over 100 years of bitter rivalry and hatred towards each other, Octavio finally lets his grudge against Cuttlefish die, becoming friends with him once more. Rematches against any of these characters will have new dialogue, mainly referring to the fight as 'training' for Agent(s) 9 and/or 10. Rematching Octavio will finally give you a three-phase Boss Battle, only this time ending with the Humanoid Octavio battling you with unique weapon only he wields: A Wasabi Blaster. He uses multiple types of bombs just like the player and his specials is an Ink Storm, raining down his color Ink in random locations covering up to 28% of the battlefield.

AI Levels for the Squidbeak Splatoon and Octavio are 20% better than the Octoling and Octarian AI.

Agent 8 is only a nickname given by Cuttlefish because of her 10,008 applicant number. Pearl and Marina were never referred to as Agents 5 and 6 (though I’m not saying they couldn’t get those roles after Octo Expansion). So I don’t think there is currently an Agent 5, 6, or secret 7.

Splatoon 3: Captain Cuttlefish gets kidnapped by some new species, and Lil' Judd or Marina gets brainwashed. You are the Harling (sea slug) protagonist known as agent 7. The great Zapfish dies/Loses all of its power and Mr. Grizz is revealed to be D.J Octavio. You have to team with him and create a new energy source out of the Golden Salmonid eggs. It is revealed that Captain Cuttlefish is Agent A, and the Squidbeak Splatoon only started naming their agents' different numbers(Agent 1, Agent 8, e.t.c) after Agent Z, and Callie and Marie's parents are revealed. Marie's parents are Agent X (Marie's mom) and Agent Y (Marie's dad). Agent X gave D.J Octavio the X-Box Scar, and she has one that she hides in her bun. D.J Octavio and Agent X have some Issues to work out, but in the end, there is this massive battle between all of the Agents(A-8) and some new species and Marina/ Lil' Judd.

My belief is Agent 8 was named 8 because of 10,008, I think that we will have a thing like the multiple character thing (speculation not leaks) where the characters we never played as before will have set weapons and then agents 3, 4, 7, and 8 you get to choose their main weapon and they all have to be different but they also stay for the whole campaign

If you keep pestering Marie in the Octo Canyon, she might start mumbling about "Finding an Agent 5".
The intro to the Octo Expansion also have the Octoling as contestant 10008, it was shortened to Agent 8, cause the name was too long for him to remember.
So Agent 1 and 2, with Splat 1 Agent 3, and Splat 2 Agent 4, the agent order is as it should be, the next game will probably continue with the trope of Agent 5 as the main character for the story.

Alright. So you got a few things wrong.
1. That “Night club” you mentioned on the sunken scroll, is the final boss fight from Splatoon 1
2. That Statue in Octo Expansion couldn’t be the Statue of Liberty. If it was, the hair wouldn’t be curly, it would be like a woman’s hair and it would have the huge arm with the torch rising up with it. It would also be green, seeing as the Statue of Liberty is made of copper. I believe it is just some Greek Statue, I don’t know which though.
3. The only reason your Octoling in Octo Expansion is called “Agent 8” is because the phone tells you you are the 10,008th person to use the deep sea metro and Cuttlefish just shortens it to 8.
4. Pearl and Marina couldn’t possibly be agents 5 and 6 because A. Cuttlefish deems you agent 8 before you meet Pearl and Marina, and B. Cuttlefish never once calls Pearl and Marina “Agent 5” or “Agent 6” he always calls them Pearl and Marina.
5. Spyke was always a dude. I don’t know where you’re getting the “female version” from....
