    As a British military man I have been to war in Afghanistan twice (6 months each) and also had similar situation. And I wanted to hear his story and his experience of war which was nothing to do with us (Nepalese). As I was watching it, my 7 year old daughter asked me who is this guy I told her this guy is Nepalese who was in Ukraine Russia war and he luckily managed to escape and was nearly died. And then she asked me “why are Nepal people fighting others war? “ And I answered if we were from rich family we would not be in fighting for someone.

    Thank you Ramchandra jee for giving the first hand account of what is going on in Russia Ukraine war and how Nepalese are being used as cannon fodder.

    Hats off to Sushant for conducting this interview. You handled this extremely saddening interview so well.

    For the viewers who don't understand the language, I've briefly summarized his interview with the podcaster.
    He went to Ukraine from Dubai( when he was working as a security guard), he is also ex-army serviceman in Nepal. He want to fight, primarily motivated by higher earnings. A lot of Nepalese who are on students visa in Russia has signed up for the Russian army primarily due to higher wages. Also, they have been lured due to promise of residency/citizenship after 1 yr of fighting in Ukraine? He says that most of the new recruits were given crash course of 7 days of basic training on handling grenade, weapons etc and then sent into Ukraine. But most of these new recruits would be lucky to escape as the students have no prior experience of fighting, handling weapons, reconnaissance , battlefield tactics and strategies. Also, they are unaware about the battlefield settings and environment about presence of snipers, mines, drones etc. He can be classified as one of those storm z units as has been widely discussed in the media. He said the number of Nepalese in russia-ukraine war might be in the upwards of 1000+. 35-40 of the Nepalese war recruits that he personally knows has died. He was stationed near tokmak. He was made to fight in the frontlines, with him and other Nepalese in the front and the Russian commanders in the back( a true cannon fodder). In the course of troops rotation he managed to get out by somehow bribing the guards in the checkpoints, and then finally fleeing the country. But also details that the the security has become much tighter, after his words of escape got circulated around. Other Nepalese fighters would also like to flee but fleeing is next to impossible, as the Nepalese don't have much command of the Russian language, so basically they are stuck and have been dying as they are mostly sent in the frontlines.
    You may ask me any questions you have surrounding the interview and I'd be happy to answer based on the interview of the gentleman with the podcaster.

    • @ANABOLIC_1105
      @ANABOLIC_1105 7 месяцев назад +1

      Your Nepalis folks should have watched other Foriegn volunteers givin recounts of their horrible days in this war. Its so 💩 in there even their own citizens are volunterily breaking arms or shoulders just to escape conscription

    • @nc01sadh
      @nc01sadh 7 месяцев назад +1

      @kpgold- if you are Ukrainian, you can pass this information to your guys in frontlines. He has revealed that the Russian troops normally prefer to stage attack after 3:00 a.m. early in the morning, as by that time most of the fighters are either tired or are sleeping, or maybe there is less drone activity and the cover of darkness, helps in better camouflaging? it is when they would initiate their attack. These guys would plan a quick dawn ( mostly after 3 am) raid on the Ukrainian dugouts or trenches. So, I'm presuming that would be the tactics applied by the Russians all along the frontlines. Not a supporter of fascist dictator Vladimir Putin, so I am telling this just in case if it can help at all.
      Regarding joining Russian army, most of the new recruits are joining by recruits who film about their contract and let other people about how much they can earn monthly if they join. So, most people join after watching them on tik tok videos. Sadly, none of the recruits who make these tik tok videos have made it through the war and come back to retell the stories about their experience of fighting in Ukraine unlike this gentleman. To be honest,most people are completely naive about the kind of warfighting that happens in Ukraine, as none of them had come across the battle videos. The only this can stop is having Ukraine government warned Nepalese government by saying them that any Nepalese captured in Ukraine battlefield wouldn't be extradited and would have to face life sentence.

    You are doing gods work on this brother. Bringing a voice like this to a podcast helps a lot in raising awareness about such issues. English subtitles on this would be great so that the world can listen an understand.
