Laser Measures have uses in so many fields from estimating, construction, painting, excavation, layout, home improvement and a few hundred other tasks that we do not have the room to list. The Bosch GLM50C will do any of those tasks that are under 165 feet. The big difference between the Bosch GLM50C laser measure and others is the simple operation and a color screen. When we first learned about the color screen, we were curious about the clarity the color screen would offer. We were blown away with the easy to read and very large color numbers. It does not matter if you are in bright sunlight or a dark area, the screen is very easy to read.

Hey bud, I was wondering if you knew of a laser measuring device that could do horizontal measurements. The scenario I’m talking about is specifically for my field measuring guys that are sometimes out on the road measuring in situations where they don’t have a ladder or a lift, and they need to measure the width of objects that we will be replacing that are mounted to the wall, and we will need the width measurement to help our shop manufacture these pieces. Thanks for any info you can provide.

I need it to measure and add lots of measurements. I really need that when I’m measuring for baseboard on an entire house. It sucks measuring and writing down and then adding like 40 measurements.
ZR1Terror trim is 25 percent of the entire sqaure footage. I've sold and install flooring currently. Hope this helps. Very quick way that always gets you close.
How do you measure the exterior wall of a house if there is no other wall that intersects? DO you place a chair or something at the end of that wall so the laser can bounce back off of it? Also which button would you press to calculate length and height of the exterior wall? Is there a Sq ft button?
You use the target that comes with the unit. It would give something for the laser to bounce off. The function button does everything. Please watch the video as it explains it all.

I had not bought it yet but looked lot of videos about this model for exterior wall you can use aggle measurement method for height or use some sticky note to create a manual bouncer for laser for horizontal measure
I love the video. Quick question I am a brand new realtor. I have as much mechanical ability as a potted plant. When I measure the outside and inside rooms of a house should I be using Length, Area, Volume or one of the indirect ones? Also I see Wall Surface?
Are you just trying to get the wall length or are you trying to get square feet of the room? If it's just a wall, don't use any of them, just use the standard single line set up, but if you want square footage, use the area mode. Does that answer your question?

It can work outdoors, yes.
but it does not work well because of sunlight. Bosch know this so they have a new model that is mainly for outdoors, Bosch GLM400CL blazer outdoor, but it costs 300$
