Congratulations on your retirement! What an amazing career! I'm heading to training in a week and I'm so excited!!! Any more advice or notes to pass on for success? :)
I absolutely loved being a FA. It was my mid life crisis job for 20 years. You covered a lot of stuff that new hires just don’t get in the beginning. Thank you for your wonderful help for all the future FAs. I never regretted doing this. I wish I had not retired but my health was declining. I’m much better now
I flew for 42 yrs. At 62 yrs old. Had to retire early for my mom’s caregiving. I was really tired of working full time and coming home and take care of myself, mom and my pets. Many of my friends were still flying and I wish I would have stayed and continued until 66. The pay changed a lot and I was able to hold any schedules I wanted and have holidays off. But family came first. Yes, there were many people who complained about their job and management. But I enjoyed flying and met so many good people and bad people. It is the best job for people who love to travel and enjoy working with the public and good money for all the perks like staying in nice hotels and exotic destinations.
another i want to say about the lonilness aspect was that i'm always alone and despite being around people, i'm always alone in my world. so this being always lonely is nothing new to me, i've always been there.
Omg I completely understand. Even thought I was alone in feeling alone lol. Tbh, I self isolate a lot by choice. I tend to feel no one understands me, my thinking, my behaviors, battling anxiety and depression. A simple trip to the grocery store or getting gas can be a struggle. While everyone was complaining about the pandemic and quarantining, I was in pure bliss 🤭 sometimes I have to push myself to get up and just get out more. That's actually part of the reason I am pursing a career as a FA, to get out my comfort zone. Anyway, that loneliness aspect of the job didn't really phase me either 😉 Wishing you the best, peace & happiness 🙏🏾💛✨️
the pay sounds chaotic and unfair, the schedule sounds chaotic, this helps me bc i have a mental illness and was looking into flight attendant work but this prob wouldnt work for me. THANKS FOR DOING THIS!!!
Feeling everything you said!! Omg the crew room and cs....seriously overwhelming. And yes so lonely and I too suffer from depression and anxiety. All that with the struggle of trying to keep healthy habits....eating, getting the rest, and working out. Seriously rethinking my decision to become a fa. Great of you to educate those pursuing this profession.
I’m in a weird funk right now with this job. The first year and half was AMAZING. The past six months have been brutal. My mental health took a toll. I’ve worked the nastiest crews who are extremely negative. Experiencing a lot of super senior people who bully us and tell us, how horrible this job is. Some flights have been rough. Some days I feel like people look down on this profession. Honestly, it’s been mostly dealing with crews. Im only 2 years in. But I’ve come across so many senior people who talk about the good old days, and say this job sucks now. However, I don’t understand and I can’t stand the negativity. It’s putting me just into a major depression. We have this job that allows to experience so many things, be independent, create our own schedules. I worked a 9-5 before being a flight attendant so I know what it’s like to not have flexibility, and freedom. Honestly, I’ve always wanted to be a flight attendant. I worked so hard in training to get here. I’m trying to not let the negativity and misery of super senior people impact me. But when you’re surrounded by it, it’s hard. Anyway, sorry for the rant!! 😂😂 Just got to keep on pushing through.
Keep going these people sound miserable and tired of there job spreading bad experiences and negativity that’s contagious. STAY STRONG don’t let them get you sick down, don’t forget your blessings and I send you love and happiness
If you have such a problem with what you hear flight attendant say I suggest you not watch a flight attendant video. I could block you if that would make it easier. Just let me know.🙂
A fine video as always. I remember when you made your depression video and it really helped me out. I battled depression for a while and when I saw that video I turned myself around got into weightlifting and now I’m doing better than ever. I really thank you for that because if not for that video I wouldn’t be here breathing today. Thank you Charli. As always our love and prayers follow you. God bless.
I can't even remember the last time I went into the crew room. Because I'm local based and don't commute, and we have a electronic system to check in as well as get messages and info, at my airline, I really don't have a reason to go into the crew room. It makes an incredible difference starting your day without the unsolicited negativity and toxicity that can permeate a crew room.
You seem like such a sweet lady. I absolutely love you smile. I have the upmost respect for flight attendance. Thank you so much for all your hard work to make our flights safe and enjoyable. So how does staying at the hotel work? Is it free or discounted or certain ones? The crash pads to me are givin and looking worse than dorm room situations😂😂😂. And also , can one have a second job? I’ve heard conflicting things and I’ve always been one to keep at least two or three . Hustla baby 😂😂😂. Talk to you soon 😊
thank God my mom trained me to get to the airport AT LEAST 2 hours early so if our flight starts boarding at 7am, she makes us start getting ready at 2am so we can be there by 5 😭
Hey there! I start training on September 11th. My biggest concern outside of the rigorous training is being away from my husband and kids! Well my oldest is 18 now but my youngest is only 9. Like will i even have time and energy to devote to them being a FA? any feed back is appreciated!
I have anxiety and I don’t think I could deal with all of the negative coworkers. I think I would have to go to the airport chapel and just meditate on God’s word on a daily basis for my sanity and peace of mind.

One time for that beautiful smile and skin sis. But I was wondering I just got my CJO for a regional 😁, but I don’t plan on giving up my apartment because I just recently renewed my lease , so depending on my base hopefully close to me , I’m thinking of commuting and the hotel situation.
You get paid for boarding now depending on your airline
Enoying your videos! where did you get your hair?
thank God my mom trained me to get to the airport AT LEAST 2 hours early so if our flight starts boarding at 7am, she makes us start getting ready at 2am so we can be there by 5 😭

I have two kids . A 13 year old and 11. Is it better not to even applied to become a flight attendant ?
I want to become a flight attendant. I’m 19, is there a school anyone recommends for this? And what is your sign?
What does this job is addictive mean??
Hey there! I start training on September 11th. My biggest concern outside of the rigorous training is being away from my husband and kids! Well my oldest is 18 now but my youngest is only 9. Like will i even have time and energy to devote to them being a FA? any feed back is appreciated!
How is it going? How is the balance? I'm going to training in a few weeks i to have kids😫
I'm in the interview process with Piedmont Airlines
I am wondering if i really should become a flight attendant. Is it acually something for me? Its so hard to choose
Won’t know till you try. Can always quit
As soon as you start working, you’re able to take someone with you?
Do they pay for that person’s flight and accommodation as well?
You add them as a travel companion and they fly for free on standby
I live in Montgomery and routinely fly out of MGM, when you mentioned it, I snort laughed🤣🤣
Hey girl heyyyy lol I subscribe I hope get to meet you in passing. You spoke to me my soul lol
Oh how sweet! Hopefully so! I love seeing you guys in person!✨💕
Charli,
Are Delta flight attendants providing referrals???
They can.
Do you see a lot of people quit ?
Hi Charli luv your name my question is to be a flight attendant or just working for your airline is it mandatory to be vaccinated?
Its not
Wait a minute.. you can take someone for a layover flight??
I want to become a flight attendant. Do I need a collage degree or something for it?
This sounds like the military so I’ll be fine.. bring someone with us? How?
Def said the same like bootcamp to me theres so many rules for us omg its nuts
awesome video, I have anxiety, and applied
I have anxiety and I don’t think I could deal with all of the negative coworkers. I think I would have to go to the airport chapel and just meditate on God’s word on a daily basis for my sanity and peace of mind.
