I am absolutely a total beginner and this is the first tutorial I followed. I’m a lefty as well. So happy I found you. You seem like a pretty awesome guy too. Can’t wait to watch more
You are a best teacher love watching you working I am trying to do oil painting and finding it very difficult to paint the sky like u.thanks a lot
Thank you for sharing. I'm 68 and just discovered a love for art. I've completed 4 small, very elementary landscapes and started searching tutorials to see what I can learn. You're a great teacher and easy to follow!
Thank you Justin, really inspire me to inmerse in this beautiful universe of the color. Greetings!
You're great. Thanks for your tutorials.
Hi Justin! Just found you today while looking for sunrises to paint. I'm a rookie. Just started acrylics in January. Anyhow. I painted this..right along with you & I love it! Going to start another this evening. I adore your work. Oh..& yes you ARE a wonderful teacher. Now to find one I can do justice to. Thank you. Thank you.
I’m in the process of doing this one now 👍🏼
Tried it. Love it.
I appreciate you sharing important details. Your paintings are so beautiful.
Loved it ….👍👏👏👏
I paint sunsets with lakes, or rivers. The bright colors are such a joy to paint with oil, or acrilic paints. I also have some in guash. I work from photos I have taken...that brings the colors back to me. Here in Northern Minnesota, we have some very vivid sunsets.
I alredy finished this painting😍 . With you Justin my landscapes always look sooo preety, you do really great work and i'm so honored that you are my teacher . Always happy with the result. Namaste brother!!!
You are so much like Igor Sakharov love your painting
Very beautiful I really like that sunset
Your talent is exceptional....
Wow, this is just splendid work you did. The fencing looks real. I am gonna try it soon. Thanks a lot:)
You were so worried about doing a sunset and there was no need because it turned out beautiful!!! You have painted another awesome painting and I think you have become my favorite artist on You Tube. Take care because it sounds like you are coming down with that virus that has hit so many of us, including me. Get plenty of rest and don't worry about pleasing us, get well ...we will wait for you. :)
Gail Stritzel thank you !! That means a lot !! I am grateful for everyone on here that likes my videos and paintings ! There’s a lot more coming !!
Eye candy!
I’m left handed as well. Until I discovered your channel, I had to find an app that would turn Bob Ross or Bill Alexander 180 degrees. Your paintings are terrific.
I’ve been a Bob Ross fan for years and stumbled across you Justin. What I particularly like about your work is your light source. Bob didn’t seem to worry too much about it, usually saying it comes from the left. I’ve learnt so much from you and thanks so much! Imao I prefer yours to the master of ‘magic white’
Love love your videos
beautiful! thanks!
Another fantastic video. Great painting and explanation from you . Thank you so much for taking the time to do this. you are an exceptional instructor. Please continue to do these as a lot of us have so much more to learn. God bless you.
It that amazing I can't believe it Wow
Awesome Tutorial!! Will definitely attempt ! Have a Photo of Sunrise on the Lake Ontario.
Hello, I am just new to your channel and i am enjoying it very much thank you. I was thinking that a window on the top left of the screen with the reference photo in it could be very helpful for people to learn. Just an idea, I know I would great for breaking down the photgraph and how you transfer it ono the canvas.
Gorgeous sunrise! Wow! Thank you!
I knew this was where I needed to be soon as I saw a Wawa coffee cup. 215 🤘🏼
Thanks for taking the time to make this, enjoyed it a lot!
I enjoyed watching you create an amazing and real happening.
Nice picture The sky is awesome!

Bravo Justin - I feel like your demo's are getting better and better. Great job on this painting. Love the highlights.
Thank you !
Love, love, love Your work!!, planning on doing this tomorrow morning!!, Thank You.
Beautiful painting! Thank you. Hope you feel better soon.
Thank you !!
Loved this painting.
Love the painting. i would like to make a special painting for my daughter and this may very well be the one. (also eyeing your Vibrant Sunlit Forest). I do not see where you say what size brushes that you're using. Also would be nice to see how you are mixing the paints on the palette. Thank You!
Just really Enjoy watching your videos. I just posted that comment on Facebook, because unlike a lot of other painters on RUclips you talk it through and say which colors you’re mixing together, which brushes to use, etc. And I don’t agree with that comment that you killed your composition by placing a tree in the middle, it turned out beautiful.
Thank you that’s awesome !! There’s more coming !
Beautiful Justin
Outstanding !!👍👍👍. really like the way you place the rocks.
There it is!!! I need a coffee. Just love this stuff man!!
Thanks man !
Its nice to see how to rectify mistakes .

Beautiful painting, can we see the colors while painting please, thank you .
Ok I’m halfway through and not sure if I want to add the tree because it looks so pretty the way it is. Should I????
Paint 2 of these then. Add the tree painting this the second time 😊
*FACEBOOK ,LINKS IS NOT WORKING*
Please, can you explain what is the medium that you used before painting, WHAT IS THE CLEAR GEL, when searching for it, I can only find ACRYLIC CLEAR GEL, is that the one??
Lovely painting
Thank you !
I love this painting! That last highlights on the ground sure gave it an oomph! I like painting sunrises because I can put pinks, purples, yellows wherever I want to. I'm not good at it, but they're fun. Hope you feel better soon. Take care of yourself.
Thank you ! I’m glad you enjoyed it and always love the awesome comments !! Plenty more coming !!
This is Amazing
Wonderful thank u for sharing.👍😀
Thank you for watching !!
looks great, just wondering what medium you put on first.
I use paint thinner mixed with white paint to coat the sky area only. The lower half is completely dry.
thank you!
Потрясающе красиво!
Hi. I enjoy your videos. Great work! Can you do more videos using reference pictures as I am learning to paint from a picture and can you do a demonstration on how you know which colors to use and how to mix them to get the color you want? Keep up the good work! You are very talented!
Love this! I also love your casual approach! It makes for a really nice painting!
Thanks !!
J,aimerai tellement avoir la traduction en francais j adore se que vous faites bravo
Great
Hi I am new I watch your video you are very good I like it😃🇨🇦🎨🎨👍
Lindo maestro gracias
I love ur videos. I am just starting oil painting and want to follow along with ur videos. I am needing to buy the cadmium red but I'm confused at which one that I need. There is cadmium red light, cadmium red deep, cadmium red hue, cadmium red medium and then I found one that is just cadmium red. Which one do u use?
So Cool..:-)
Por favor, tente mostrar como você prepara/mistura as tintas, para quem está aprendendo, ajuda muito! Obrigada!
nice
🦊👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Hello Justin. Love watching you.. beautiful sky I sure wish u used Arcylics instead 💜
Obviously... you did the dyn-o-mite job as requested... better... rock on my brothah! Noyce
Love your videos. I got a question about drying time. Ist it true that oil paintings need up to one year before you can put a protective coat over it?
That is true !
@@PaintingsbyJustin thanks.
You too funny!!!😀
AWESOME! LOVE THIS.....SEE YOU NEXT TIME!
Thank you !! See you soon with plenty more videos !!
👏👏👏👏👏👏
Justin do you sell DVDs of your paintings - PLEASE.
No sabemos los colores que usa
Mais vous avez des idées
You have ended up showing foreground grass lit by sun rays when actually the sun was shown be still not out of woods, still lurking in the horizon, not visible yet...
It was looking so great then you put a tree smack bang in the middle and killed your composition lol
Beautiful
