For you to understand Grand Order without spoiling what it's actually about. Imagine Fate/Grand Order as the Avengers assemble of the Fate franchise, as it pulls from every nook and crany of the franchise, as you see, characters from all other series appear here and it's beyond epic.

To explain a few Things:
The Fate Series started as a Visual Novel by Kinoko Nasu (Previous Works include Tsukihime, Kara no Kyoukai etc.)
The VN came out in 2004 and it has 3 Routes. The Fate Route, The Unlimited Blade Works Route and the Heavens Feel Route.
They all start out the same but change as they go on. Each Route focuses on 1 out of the 3 Main Heroines. (Fate=Saber;UBW=Rin;HF=Sakura)
However You can't just start with any Route. There is a Specific Order in which they unlock. Fate>UBW>HF. At the Start only the Fate Route will be playable. Once You finish it, UBW unlocks and after that HF unlocks.
So in 2006 Studio Deen produced the very first Fate Anime, adapting the Fate Route. Except it doesn't adpat the Foute Route perfectly. While it still mainly follows the Fate Route, Fights and Scenes from UBW and HF are mixed in.
We can only speculate why they did this. A Popular Theory, is that it was for Fanservice. They didn't know if there was ever going to be an Adaption of the other 2 Routes, as in 2006 that was very uncommon. It's pretty good for it's Time ignoring the obvious Problem though. But the Problems start now.
In 2012, Ufotable released Fate Zero, which was originally a Novel written by Gen Urobuchi. It takes place before the VN but it has a lot of inconsistensies with things that were stated there.
So it's sorta it's own Timeline. It's a Version of the Events that happend before the VN. But not the Version that actually happend.
Already People started fighting over the Watch Order. "Since Zero takes place 10 Years before, it has to be watched first", but "It's not what actually happend tho and Urobuchi himself said not to watch it first" and so on.
In 2014 Ufotable released an Adaption of the Unlimited Blade Works Route. It's decent overall. A lot of important inner monolouge was cut but it's pretty good besides that.
But now they escalation over the Watch Order became even Bigger. Some say to start with FSN 2006, some with UBW and others with Zero. (This all could've been avoided if they just made a Remake of the Fate Route...).
Finally in 2017 Ufotable released the First of 3 Movies adapting the Heavens Feel Route. The 3rd and Final One just released earlier this Year actually.
In 2005 Nasu released a Sequel to the VN, called Hollow Ataraxia. So far no Plans to adapt that have been announced.
Everything besides Fate Stay Night 2006, Unlimited Blade Works and Heavens Feel (from those who have been adapted) are Spin Offs and can be watched whenever and in any Order You want. (Fate Zero is sorta but not really Part of the Main Series, sooo I'll just count it as a Spin Off)
FSN is a package deal and Zero is part of that. Zero was created to supplement FSN, not to be it's own thing. It's full of spoilers for FSN, and it has the expectation that you already know FSN when going into Zero. It's a prequel story, you should never start with the prequel.
An even bigger reason why you shouldn't start with Zero is that it's very different from the rest of the franchise. Starting with Zero will set you up with a false idea of what the rest of the series is like. It doesn't set precedence for what the rest will be like, it's an exception to the rest.
The three routes are designed to tell a larger story.
The theme for FSN as a whole is "conquering oneself". The theme for Fate is "oneself as an ideal". For UBW it is "struggling with oneself as an ideal". For Heaven's Feel it is the "friction of the real and ideal".
Fate shows Shirou at his most "pure", and this purity is reflected in Saber. UBW forces Shirou to recognize how his ideal will affect himself by confronting Archer. HF forces Shirou to recognize how his ideal affects other people.
Each route not only presents Shirou with a dilemma, but he "develops" as a character as we progress through the routes. Only by seeing all of them can you fully understand the story.
A Thing to Note is that the Fate Series is just a small aspect of the Nasuverse. The Nasuverse contains anything Nasu created. For example, Kara no Kyoukai: The Garden Of Sinners (Which Ufotable adapted into a Movie Series) or Tsukihime, both came out before Fate, the Reason You don't hear anyone talk abt them is...well because Fate just overshadows them sadly. I honestly think Tsukihime is better than Fate even. But Fate is basically the spoiled younger sibling that gets all the attention.

@@WeAINTseenITREACTIONS Defintetly Yes Imo. As for with what You start: I'd advise You to start with FSN 2006. It's Old yes and not 100% faithfull to the VN, but it tells You Info the others wont, and Some Cute Saber Moments as well. There are also some Cool Moments and Fights You'd miss out on too. I personally also like it's "slower" combat more, it's easier to follow. If You end up not liking it, due to it's age, You can look forward to seeing the others, more mordern ones as well.
Also You can't please everyone. No Matter what Fate You start with, some People will be offended and mad.
I'm not someone who watches Anime Reactions myself so I don't care much tbh, just trying to guide you in the right direction sorta. So Yeah TLDR: Start with FSN 2006, it's not the best certainly but it's worth it.
30:50 /// Tsukihime Remake is a Visual Novel. It is not part of the Fate series and is a completely separate story. Unfortunately it's only available in Japanese. Although you can always play the original Tsukihime VN with a fan translation. There is also a pretty good manga.

The Thing after Fate Kaleid, was Tsukihime, or rather it's Remake. It has a very old Anime and its so bad we pretend it doesnt exist. TLDR; It's about Vampires. MC: Shiki Tohno, has Eyes than can see Death. Mystic Eyes of Death Perception. He can see "Black Lines and Points", tracing them, kills it. Be it a door or a Person. It gives him a huge Headache tho and he may even pass out. Thats why Aoko Aozaki (Red Hair) gave him Special Glasses that supress it. As long as he wears them, he can't see the Lines. The Blonde Girl is Arcueid Brunestud, an acient Vampire. She came to the Town to kill somone, Shiki, due to things happening: He saw her on the Street and got a Urge to kill her, he followed her Home and cut her into 17 Pieces, really weakining her. He thinks he killed her ofc and once he snaps out of it, he regrets it deeply. He calls Ciel (Blue Haird Girl) as he is soaking in the Cold Rain at the Park) She lets him stay over. The Next Day he returns home and goes to school, only to find the girl he thought he killed alive and well, waiting for him. He runs away into an Ally, and after a bit of talking, he agrees to help her kill this Person she came for.
Brave Shine is in my top 5 all time favorite anime OPs.

most of the main series of fate is action based but it has tons of spinoffs some of them being different genres. Fate has cooking shows, slice of life, magical girl and overall parodies of its main series.
Tsukihime is a bit of an isolated story but it's indeed part of the Fateverse

Weeeeeelp sorry to disappoint buuuut the grand daddy that started this franchise was an eroge visual novel. It's certainly not as bad with sexual content as people make it sound but it certainly doesn't shy away from fanservice either. The cutesy one is actually the worst offender as far as their anime adaptations go.
It's arguably the best when it comes to fanservice if you switch off H scenes.

23:30 Well, Fate/Kaleid Liner Prisma Illya, Fate/Apocrypha, Fate/Extra Last Encore, Lord el Melloi File Cases and Fate/Grand Order are all spin-off series, each within it's own alternative timeline.
Case Files are canon to FSN. The events of the anime happened in between Zero and FSN.

Some of them straight up have better animation. I don't know why you think everytime it's the 60FPS thats making the difference. 60 FPS isn't exactly magic.
I mean I'm not saying that its the definitive way to watch anime. I said that 24fps is the preferred way to watch anime. Lol I even mentioned the ugly smeary artifacts that kinda ruined some of them. But there are some cases where 60fps meshes well with animation. Especially when they have a mixture of classical 2D & 3D elements.
30:53 it is different visual novel by typemoon in the same iniverse with fate, these 2 openings are openings for the remake of visual novel(came out in 2021), not anime.

You might already know this but fate takes hero’s from the past from every continent africa South America North America ofc most of the hero’s are from Europe and Asian for example Billy the kid, Merlin, king authur, Geronimo, Achilles, you have knights, samurais, gods, goddesses, wizards, kings, writers, singers, vampires, there no limit. They are separated into 7 classes, Sabers (swordsman) Lancers (spears, lances, sythes) Riders (the ride things like horses, to dragons) assassins (pretty self explanatory the are sneaky) Casters (wizards, witches, poets, singers) archers (bowman) berserkers (the go beserker and are crazy) there are extra classes such as saviors, rulers, avengers, pretenders, beasts, foreigner, probably more. Those tattoos u kept seeing on there hand and stuff are called command seals and are used to command your servant and also mean our are in command of one and is participating in a holy grail war.m
Basically there are 4 primary time lines this is the stay night timeline (zero, stay night, hollow ataraxia) the extra timeline (extra, ccc, extella, extella link, last encore, foxtail) grand order timeline (grand order, epic of remnant, cosmos in the lostbelt) and prisma illya (prisma illya, oath under snow)
Stay night is a regular holy grail war. 7 classes 7 servants who are in these classes and 7 masters who control the servants
Extra is the same but with more characters and more classes. Instead of being in real life it’s inside of a super computer and all the humans are just npc codes and shi
Prisma illya is a magical girl anime
Grand order is the same as stay night and extra, but way more servants and more classes. The basically go through time and shi. And meet people from every time period and and land I guess hard to explain.
Then u have the “secondary fates” such as type redline, requiem, prototype, strange fake, apocrypha,
They all take place in separate universes basically (don’t watch prisma illya….it’s just erotic 10 year old lesbian lolis…only weirdos or meme kids watch it and like it) fate is known for having half naked girls and shi luckily most of them are adults…except prisma illya.
And fate takes place in a BIGGER universe that includes tsukihime, garden of sinners, melty blood, mahoyo, angel notes, this is called the nasuverse. Sometimes characters from these shows will have a cameo or full on cross over with fate!
Extra information- stay night has three routes! Basically three timelines or possibility for the story to go! Stay night, unlimited blade works, and heavens feel!
Grand order has 3 arcs! Grand temple of time. Epic of remnant. And cosmos in the lostbelt. Grand temple of time is abt going into the past to correct it. Epic of remnant is about the remnants they didn’t correct yet basically. Cosmos in the lostbelt is abt their timeline is about to be destroyed so they have to go to different timelines and destroy those ones basically. It’s the most saddest and tragic imo you go to India, Russia, britain, Atlantis, Olympus and more. Apocrypha is a alternate timeline to fate stay night, hollow ataraxia is a sequel to stay night, I’m not sure what else I can tell you but hope this really helps
If your ever interested in tsukhime it has a pretty godlike manga you can read. There the old anime adaption was botched so hard it doesn't even exist. The openings you saw in this video are for the remake of the visual novel which is where tsukihime comes from. Hopefully that will get an anime at some point

@@francoisssangma996 it's not exactly an adaption of arcueid route but more like an expansion with tons more elements added. It works really really well. The guy who wrote the manga actually is working on remake as well

Carnival phantasm is a comedy crossover between fate and Tsukihime.
the pantyshots for few those characters actually were leotards funny enough both characters originate from the same section of the series by the same character designer

Explain Fate Kaleid, huh? Well TLDR: Illya (Little White Haired Girl) becomes a Magical Girl after making a pact with a talking stick. Ruby as the Stick is called ditched her previous Owner, Rin. Rin finds her and essentially teaches her the Basics. However turns out, Rins Rival, Luvia had the same thing happening. Luvia in search of Sapphire (Her Stick) found a little girl in the Park, Miyu which Sapphire alrdy formed a Pact with.
There Goal is to find 7 Class Cards, containg Powefull Echos of the 7 Servants. They need to defeat them to get the Cards. They can "install" or "include" the Cards. Installing them lets them Copy the Servant. Like their Clothes, Powers etc. Including the Cards only summons their Weapons.
It's 4 Seasons, i aint gonna tldr that all, so I'll just say, it starts out cutsey but gets really fucking dark. The Manga is Top Tier. But the Anime...not so. The Director is a huge Lolicon. As such some weird moments (which the manga did have, tho 1 or 2 small panels) get extended by minutes. They'll animate 2 Elementary School Girls kissing with Passion. The OVAs are pure Pedo Bait, with the Girls wearing revealing and certainly not age apropiate Clothing. Season 1 and 4 are Very Good and have none of that. But Season 2 and 3 have tons of it.
I reccomend, You watch the Anime for Season 1, read the Manga for 2 and 3, and return to the Anime for 4. It's quite easy to tell them apart, Season 2 is Zwei and Season 3 is Zwei Herz. Season 4 begins with 3rei.
2wei = Zwei=German for 2. 3rei=Drei=German for 3. The German is because, Illya's Family, the Einzberns are German.

Fate zero is the beggining then follows three more fate stay night, fate stay night unlimited blade works, and fate stay night heavens feel these three are the same but follow a different route in the story.
Fate kaleid follows the same fate concept just a different continuity.
Fate apocrypha is anime different continuity same concept the summons heroic spirits.
Fate grand order are movies you can watch they are a organization trying to save the humanity.
