People forget how dangerous oil is in nature. This is why pumping oil was the first green industry. People forget that too. Removing oil from the environment has saved innumerable species. Unfortunately, it is not a perfect industry and is still fraught with unknowns and failures.
"I'm glad that's not my job" ... seriously, glad it's not mine either. So freaking amazing. Yet we will probably never get the real truth of the devastation it caused.
Speaking of which, did you see how the boats kept their distance? Apparently if they got too close they'd be sucked down into the ocean because of all the pressure and bubbles. Absolutely terrifying.
I just posted on facebook asking if everyone is okay because I actually know quite a few people that live there. I can keep you updated on what they say if you want. It is kind of a sucky job working on the platforms, they are gone for weeks on end, come home for a very short amount of time and are back on the platforms again. So I actually don't know many people that work the platforms, but I know quite a few families of workers very well.
As soon as you said Pemex I was like "wait... I know that name! The oil platforms! Ciudad del Carmen! I know people that work there!" Actually mostly people who have family members that work there. I lived there for a few months 6 or 7 years ago. So many people from the island work there and it kinda sucks because they are gone so often for weeks on end. I hope everyone is okay! Glad I watched this video!
Oh wow, you just unlocked a memory for me. I learned about that a few years ago and completely forgot about it. That would be a super interesting video. Thank you!
Im a Northwestern PA resident and im well aware of that place Centralia had a Graffiti Highway which a lot of people visited but its gone I didnt get to visit it sadly they put dirt over it someone bought it or something
Lol I was wondering about that myself. Best i came up with are..Maybe they have something they mix with the water OR Maybe their water is much cooler and is, at least, cooling down the fire water? Best I got. 😄
@@myflock000 I'm not a firefighter but the water isn't to put out the fire but to cool down the area. Fire (combustion) requires 3 things oxygen, heat (combustion point) and a fuel Sometimes you can control all three sometimes none. They are trying to keep the temperatures at the extremes low enough to slow or stop combustion, or potentially just cool the air around the fire. If you watch some forest fires You will often see firefighters spraying water into the air to try to lower the ambient temperature.
@@hugespinner4890 cool ty! still looks funny though! definitely nice of u to explain much appreciated! u my friend have a safe and good day or night depending on where u r!
Really good video on this terrible event TY! About something, this planet, we umm Live On and really didnt need another strike, especially to the ocean! What is the cause? I'll make it simple for the 'investigators'... HUMANS!
Yeah us humans really need to respect this world more because it's all we got. The constant chase for money and power will always be the thing that brings us down.
What do you think about parcast podcast unsolved Mysteries explanation of the Mandela effect? Basically that it’s the cause of faulty childhood memories and people fill in the gap in their memory with what eventually becomes a Mandela effect?
Then why do so many people fill in the faults and gaps in the exact same way? It’s the collective aspect of the Mandela effect that makes it so strange.
I'll have to check this out. While I do believe faulty memory can explain somethings, I really don't buy that explanation for all of the thousands and thousands of mandela effects that people across the world somehow share the same memories of. It's just too much and has effected too many for such a simple explanation. Like that old saying goes "For every difficult to solve problem, there is a fast, simple and wrong solution." I'm open to hear them out though and compare notes. Thanks for letting me know!

We humans can make incredibly horrifying things can't we...
CERN. Human experiments. Evil.

Exactly about what I was going to say. And it’s super sad for all the sea life 😭
As a music video producer..getting footage there would have been insane 🤯🤯
All Time 2? How did I miss this other channel ? Lol but I’m here & subbed! 😝❤️🙏🏼Thanks All time !
My RUclips app didn’t even notify me that you posted. 😤😤😤😑

@@AllTimeTwo no one has responded, but also no one from that area has posted about it either, so I'm guessing their all fine.
That's not oil...
Gods, the Gulf of Mexico just can't catch a break, can it.
I seen the meme before the video. But amazing and scary.
Foreal
Yyyeeeaaahhh.... No spillage what so ever, nothing to see here.
"So this is a very natural and normal phenomenon. Nothing strange out the ocean being on fire."
Whoa that’s crazy
Right? When I first saw it I thought it was CGI.
This reminds me of Justice League War...Darkseid
This is scary to watch 😳
You should do a video about the underground mine fire that's been going in Centralia Pennsylvania

Right? Imagine seeing that with your own eyes!
@@AllTimeTwoit looked like it made his own vortex.
It was natural gas , therefore no "oil spill".
Still not good for oceanic life though.
Exactly. I can't imagine how much life was lost because of this.
I thought it was a natural gas pipeline that broke not crude oil
If it's natural gas it will just float out of the water into the atmosphere, it will not sit on top of the water as an oil slick
wow amazing ty wow
so water to put out water lol seems wrong lol

I wonder how many fish got fried
What a huge fish soup !!! Hmm Yummy
lmao, toss some food in it
The ocean fire looked like CGI. Probably was just a propaganda video.
So "strange" that they named it "Eye Of Fire" , come on...
First time I’m early 😊
Just on time as I like to call it haha
