Strategies for Landing the Director's Chair for Episodics

With all of the new episodic Contant being produced for streaming networks and television, production companies are often in need of new directors at the helm. Directors are hired based on a variety of factors, including experience, sample reels, accolades, and referrals.
In this session, filmmaker Menhaj Huda will discuss strategies on securing work as a director for TV/streaming series and networking with decision makers, as well as hear from participants on their current projects and answer relevant questions focused on breaking into episodic production.

Huda is an award-winning British Film and TV director, based in Los Angeles, best known for the UK urban hit, “Kidulthood”.
Huda is a Co-Executive Producer on the BAFTA winning series “Gangs Of London” (SKY/AMC), which he originated and consults on.
Having relocated to Los Angeles in 2017 he has been directing both high end episodic TV like the CW’s “The Flash”, “Charmed” and “Batwoman” as well as ABC’s “Queens” to name a few. On the TV movie front, he’s directed such projects as “Harry & Meghan: A Royal Romance” and “Harry & Meghan: Becoming Royal”.
