When I listen to the Unplugged version, the guitar solo at the end always makes me tearful. Hearing this version and hearing Kurt wail in harmony with it... my god. Knowing what the pain, sadness, and loneliness led to just a few months later? Unplugged or live and loud, it's heartbreaking.

In short the crowd at this taping had no idea what the significance that the Nirvana version of this song would have hence why they didn’t go as insane for this song as they did for the other songs at this taping.
I love this show more than Unplugged. Kurt had some great performances at this point when he was serious and focus plus Pat Smear's killin on the guitar too. This period late 93' and early 94' must be their peak.
