My 1st Wyoming Antelope hunt coming up this year as a resident! Kind of hope I can enjoy a hunt of solitude for a great animal such as depicted in this video and pay the same reverence to the animal and the great outdoors! Great video!
Really appreciate it Jon and wish you the best of luck. Just put in the miles and you’ll make it happen. Unfortunately two of us did not draw here in Montana so we will be focusing on Elk and deer. Again, good luck and thank you!
Really appreciate that. My taxidermist said 86 and feel pretty fortunate to make it happen, especially after that first shot that hit the dirt! Thanks a lot!
How do you even prepare a set up for a shot like that?? The slow motion capture of the shot was incredible; did you just guess that they would run out to the left like that? The emotion of hunting was captured perfectly too. It's not a happy moment; it's a sad but uplifting respect for nature and its unwavering ability to provide for us. So well done...in awe at this quality.
Ezekiel Willams thanks and definitely didn’t anticipate them coming my way, thought I blew the shot. Then turned and came my way and kept my shit together to make the shot. Really like how the video came together with one cam on the tripod and Jimmy on the telephoto. killing an animal for me is a pretty heavy thing and like how this showed the emotion and respect I have for these animals. Thanks again!
Cool video and slow mo stuff, solid buck. Really enjoyed watching your video! Not sure why you didn't crawl up to the rock, used the bi-pods and dropped the buck with your first shot???? Either way, congrats all around.
Seth Wheeler really appreciate it. I hear ya on the shot but so much can go wrong trying to steady. The ground being uneven and having to loosen that particular bipod, I thought I’d blow getting a shot, which ultimately I did, but got lucky with the follow up. I’ve been in so many different hunt situations and know everything could change in a second and you’re left thinking what if, I had to move quick with a feeding doe making her way so sped the shot and failed, just got lucky getting a follow up shot with a great connection. Thanks again, my deer hunt video is even better!
The video was good. But I didn’t like the running shot. So much could go wrong seeing it myself. Running shot on game is tricky as is it’s even trickier on antelope because of their size. Lots of air around a moving animal. If a gut shot happens they can still boogie faster farther and longer then humans. But honestly I saw the “amateur” hunter come out of an experienced hunter which happens to a lot of people including myself. A person gets caught up in the moment. Good video liked the emotion and the filming slow motion. Congratulations on a nice trophy.
Really appreciate your comment and totally understand your thoughts. We thought about not including it in the final cut but it is a big part of the video and story. I’ve only took one other running shot a looong time ago and was another solid hit but don’t promote it. I’m a bird hunter as well and the swing involved with bird hunting and how well I know that rifle added to my confidence with that shot. Have to say that that is the best antelope we’ve ever eaten. Thanks for the comment and good luck this season!
@@Fishcamp Yes, I really liked the very good video quality and the sound as good. I subscribed yesterday and I really like the channel. I am also passionate about hunting and fishing. I wish you much success in the future and to have more subscribers on youtube.
That shot of the antelope going down was great! I’m not a hunter, so it was cool to see more of the process. Thanks for the video!
Thanks Gab, pretty epic shots Jimmy got there with the telephoto!

Not supposed to pick on mental retards...He's doing the best he can...
You had a lot of time to get that bipod ready before first shot and get steady. Looks like a good hunt.
Damn good shot Jody!
Ty Sobol thanks a lot Ty, tough one to practice but has to be from all those years of bird hunting!
Nice job! Bring some Elk sticks to Canada in the summer!

Great video! What caliber is your rifle? It sounds great!
Thanks a lot, really appreciate it! It is an HS Precision 6.5 Creedmor with a Zeus scope. Super light and super accurate. Thanks again!
