  • In this week video we have a 2003 Vw Passat 1.9 Diesel engine AVB 1.9 101 BHP where we change the oil and filters including the oil filter, air filter, diesel filter and pollen or cabin filter.
I instruct in the video how you can reset the service light manually but this time i wanted to try the MaxiCOM MK908 just to get more familiar with tool procedures .
    Engine AVB 1.9
    Oil Capacity 3.6 ltrs
Hey everybody, Igor here from Cars Exposed thanks for tuning in.
I will be uploading videos here every week Thursday at 18:30 sharing my experiences working around cars on my driveway, exposing issues, auto repair, auto electric, oil changes, services, projects and more...
    Cheers 👍

Good video. Good explanation’s. Since I own and service 2 Passat 1.9 tdi, I can give you 2 recommendations:
    - Always use 5w40 with 505.01 vw standard engine oil, with normal service interval, not long life
    - when change the fuel filter, the new filter always prefilled it with diesel. If not it will be very hard to start the car after.

Is it needed to remove the oil filler cap while oil is draining?
I mean before you unscrew the oil pan drain bolt...

The filtre of fuel must to be top up . You have to put some fuel in the new filtre and After this you can plug in ☺️ But great job also!

I very much like your videos! Just a suggestion regarding the fuel filter change, IMHO you should fill the empty filter by bleed the system before starting the engine.

They must also help out with repair if they are able to. Today I helped a friend with some oil and oil filter change, and changing to winter tires. Next week its gonna be one oil change. And 2 cars that needs winter tires. I'm not gonna film that :-)
