    God healing wounds, as a notion, is personally difficult for me as a Catechumen. For most of my life I’ve been through A LOT. Been broken many times. However, I’ve endured and overcome those things. In those times and occasions, I’ve had to support and help those around me, and with all my experience from what I’ve overcome I’ve tried to translate it into knowledge that could help others. It’s like I’ve this inner philosophy that’s foundational to who I am.
    The difficulty I have is that I’ve overcome so much alone, but now accepting the Love of God means I am no longer alone. But being alone is all I’ve know. So for my first Lent, I’m trying to overcome or revise and change this inner philosophy of mine. A big change, and a difficult one because it’s an impersonal barrier I need to overcome, but a very good change. God Bless.

      I heard it like this...say you had a knife in your side. You decide to leave it there and just keep being in pain. God says let Me take that out and hand it over to Me and I will heal you. Trust me. We wanna keep the knife instead of giving it over. Maybe that helps or not. I think it's a good analogy.

      @@JimCvit That actually makes sense as I've some medic experience, haha! If an individual has been in an incident with a knife, and the knife remains in the body: pulling it out on scene can cause even more damage/harm. Removing the knife can cut backwards. The knife, while in place, may also be preventing significant bleeding. Leaving it in and waiting for proper medical treatment is the best course of action, despite how painful it is. "Proper medical treatment" in this analogy would be a metaphor for God. Thank you :)

    Our Holy Mother, the Blessed Virgin Mary had the biggest wounds after her Son. Her heart was pierced brutally. So she will be able to crash the ugly head of serpent with her feet.
    The more we suffer for Christ, the more power we will have against evil. This is why God allows it to happen, so we could help Him in the salvation of humanity.

      Location? What do you mean? Location as I understand it is a function of the physical universe (space-time continuum). God and His kingdom are not limited to the created universe. So, the term location has no direct meaning. Further, the term “outside the observable universe” is likewise meaningless.
      The Mystery of God is absolute, but we are compelled to seek understanding of Him. Keep on asking!

      The entire human race is offered to carry their crosses with Jesus, but Jesus was the only pure and spotless Lamb offered on the cross for the redemption of all of humanity. We are all called to accept the sufferings God sends our way (carrying our crosses), but it's not the same as Jesus because we are not spotless, nor are we the sacrifice offered for the sins of humanity.

      I mean He DOES love us like that also! He even revealed that to us in the Bible! Remember Jesus saying we are worth more than sparrows?:
      _"Are not two _*_sparrows_*_ sold for a _*_penny?_*_ And not one of them will fall to the ground apart from your Father. But even the hairs of your head are all numbered. Fear not, therefore; you are _*_of more value than many_*_ sparrows."_ Matt 10:29-31
      And the Psalmist saying we're fearfully and wonderfully made?:
      _"For you formed my inward parts; you knitted me together in my mother's womb. I praise you, for I am _*_fearfully and wonderfully made._*_ Wonderful are your works; my soul knows it very well."_
      Psalm 139:13-14
      And Isaiah describing how God values Israel, which by the logic of Christ dying for every one of us implies He also values all individuals, and even more than merely giving other humans as a ransom since Christ is God so He gave Himself as the price of freedom for us?:
      _"“Fear not, for I have redeemed you; I have called you by name, you are mine. When you pass through the waters, I will _*_be with you;_*_ and through the rivers, they shall not overwhelm you; when you walk through fire you shall not be burned,and the flame shall not consume you. For I am the Lord your God, the Holy One of Israel, your Savior. I _*_give Egypt_*_ as your ransom, Cush and Seba _*_in exchange_*_ for you. Because you are _*_precious_*_ in my eyes, and _*_honored,_*_ and I love you, I give _*_men in return_*_ for you, peoples in exchange for your life. _*_Fear not,_*_ for I am with you;"_ Isaiah 43:1-5
      And Psalm 8 wondering about God's care for us?:
      _"When I look at your heavens, the work of your fingers, the moon and the stars, which you have set in place, _*_what is man_*_ that you are mindful of him, and the son of man that you care for him? Yet you have made him _*_a little lower_*_ than the _*_heavenly beings_*_ and _*_crowned him_*_ with glory and honor. You have given him dominion over the works of your hands; you have put all things under his feet, all sheep and oxen, and also the beasts of the field, the birds of the heavens, and the fish of the sea, whatever passes along the paths of the seas."_ Psalm 8:3-8
      And even Psalm 103 echoes similar themes:
      _"Bless the Lord, O my soul, and all that is within me, bless his holy name! Bless the Lord, O my soul, and forget not _*_all his benefits,_*_ who forgives all your iniquity, who heals all your diseases, who _*_redeems_*_ your life from the pit, who _*_crowns you_*_ with steadfast _*_love_*_ and _*_mercy,_*_ who satisfies you with good so that your youth is renewed like the eagle's.....For as high as the heavens are above the earth, so great is his steadfast love toward those who fear him; as far as the east is from the west, so far does he remove our transgressions from us. As a father _*_shows compassion_*_ to his _*_children,_*_ so the Lord shows compassion to those who fear him."_ Psalm 103:1-5, 11-13
      I hope these verses have blessed you! God bless!

      In other words, to clarify a bit more maybe - the fact God wants to elevate us above our sinful state and into something greater ALREADY shows He values us as we are right now. We have value even when we're not perfect, and we're worth elevating to Him! Kinda like a parent values a dirty child enough to want to clean them - out of love for the child so that it can enjoy a better state! The child wasn't simply worthless to the parent, or in himself, before the cleansing - far from that! Rather, the fact the child was loved by its parents such that they wanted to clean him implies they value him as he is already!

      @religiousystuff Год назад +1

      @@anneliesed I think it's also important to remember our flaws or imperfections aren't our identity - it can be tempting to despair and think that changing oneself (and also being loved such that others want to free you) is even a bad thing to undergo. But if one doesn't hinge one's identity or worth on either always performing well OR one's imperfections, then that can be freeing.
      And also, one can still be likeable as well despite one's struggles, since one is still made in the image of God, and the worth one has remains and is likeable - the flaws don't actually ruin you.

    Father, peace to you! The English language didn't fail you, your mouth failed the English language 😆🤪 hahaha! Thank you for the video. On a more serious note though, your video is misleading. In the thumbnail Padre Pio is shown, and he said in his letters, "For me God does not heal old wounds but opens new ones." Also, he could not have the stigmata, which is a gift of suffering, unless it was given from above. Finally, St. John and St. Theresa both talk of mystical "wounds of love". All of this has been left out of your video which is.... confusing. You used the word "consent" which is essential to understanding mystical sufferings as God only gives that which they consented to, either explicitly, or in light of what He Knows the dispositions of their hearts are.... From the s ruptures, in Hebrews, St. Paul says we are too Recieve all difficulties/trials/sufferings in our lives as disciplines/chastisements from the Hand of Our Father. Your video 'seems' to fly in the face of these witnesses...
    Thoughts?

    Yes. God intentionally wounds some of his children, because he does not care about and love them. Job in the Bible is one example. God knowingly gave millions of children to abusive parents who abused them brutally throughout history.
    God never wounds his favourite children. The Blessed Virgin Mary is one example.

      We humans have been given free will by God. God never ordains evil. When we freely choose evil, we can expect an evil outcome that not only impacts the individual personally, but has the ability to impact others.

    • @Pheonix1111
      @Pheonix1111 Год назад

      @@MAvila744 God knows the past, present, and future of every person. God knows the people who will be loving, caring parents in the future. God also knows the people who will be extremely abusive, violent parents in the future. God freely and knowingly chooses to give innocent, sinless babies to abusive, violent parents who exercise their free will to abuse their children. If God actually loved children, then he would protect them from all harm and ONLY give them to loving, caring parents who will NEVER abuse them. God makes the initial choice by giving innocent, sinless babies to suffer at the hands of abusive parents. God’s choice. There are many people who are loving and caring, but they are left childless. Instead, the wicked, abusive people are consistently given children to abuse. This proves God does not love everyone.

    • @MAvila744
      @MAvila744 Год назад +1

      @@Pheonix1111 You are incorrect because you are failing to accept that God gave us FREE WILL in all things. Yes God knows all things past present and future. For you to say that God gives children to abusive parents is evil. Why? Because God is love and doing what you propose goes against who God is. God does not rule our lives. We as humans make decisions. God is not pulling the strings. We are all born with free will to choose.
