This is the character of Irish performers - that rather than wanting to always be the center of attention, they call our attention to the humblest of small children who are the next generation of Irish people and what that next generation can achieve. The dancer inspires that child who may some day become a great dancer in her own rite because of this inspirational event for the child. Kudos to Emma O' Sullivan, the dancer.
What kind of sad human beings voted this beautiful performance down??? This just made my day and that pretty little baby dancing portrayed everything good about humanity.
The lovely woman dancing is Emma O' Sullivan, I live in Galway myself but have never had the pleasure of meeting her. She brings a bright, sunny vibe to the city centre when she dances, always smiling and clearly loves doing what she does. P.S. The little girl joining in the dance is the cutest thing I've seen in ages!
@@veroniquefornasari4135 I hope that you will make it to Ireland after the pandemic ends, when everything returns to some kind of normal. The west is definitely the nicest part of the country, if you come to Galway you might even see Emma O' Sullivan dancing! 💚
After losing my beloved dog recently, seemed to have done nothing but cry. But watching these 2 beautiful girls how could I not smile again? So glad I saw this.
That little cutie just stole the entire show... and the dancer did not mind at all! Bet she will grow into a beautiful colleen when she's older and steal hearts everywhere!
2020, the world stressed out over corona and here we are, watching Emma and the wee one have a good time and making us smile in the proces. Thank you for sharing!
I think it's more that the rest have unlearned it, and rather learned how to behave and conceal their emotions in public! We can all learn something from this little girl (and the big one too!)
The house and I’ll get back there I’ll get back in about five I’ll get back in about a few hour cI’ll you and then I have to go to the new car back in the morning and I’ll be there in five hours
Goodness sake. Whenever I need a lift of spirit I come back to watch Emma. She is grace, cheerfulness, skill, and as light as a summer breeze. It’s as if the music lifts itself up just to see her dance.
Culture and history of our culture is so important I think that that is so neat that you are teaching your people on the streets of Ireland and it was so cool to watch thank you.
How absolutely wonderful Emma that you can arrive to entertain the people watching. And as for that adorable wee girl learning Irish dancing. I am seriously hooked on the Irish dancing. But here in South Africa it's an absolute rarity. Keep the tradition going you two girls. 💐💓
So incredible feelgood! During the Corona-situation its important to watch this! We will overcome ,and we will all dance in the streets again! I realy look forward to visit you good folks of Galway when the crisis is over. All the best from a family in Trondheim Norway!
Adorable! The wee one is really having a great go at it. Future Irish dancer there. Two beautiful young ladies with heart soaring Music . Thanks Emma for making her day and mine !
The way she engages the little one to dance along is just so wonderful to see, and so true to the spirit of folk dancing. Folk dancing is for everyone, from the children to the elders, and it’s so natural for a child to just naturally pick it up by being in a community that expresses joy in music through dance.
I dance Women's Southern Traditional, a powwow competition style, and a lot of the little kids love to watch and imitate. We try to show the best example we can, and if they come up when we're dancing we show them how. So precious
I LOVE how the young lady is so engaging with the little toddler. Like she is dancing just for her! And how the little girl is looking around every one else's feet, like she is wondering why they are NOT dancing. Precious! And WELL DONE to the young lady performing her incredible art!
What a little star, you should have got her centre with yourself, what a team...2 of my daughters learned to Irish dance at school I used to get them to do it regularly for me,,,loved watching them.
Utterly brilliant, so uplifting. In the midst of the worlds troubles, a child and a young lady bring happines and smiles. XX. Thank you for such a beautiful video.
Brilliant in every way - the best of YT - especially wonderful when the little dancer turns to the audience and dances for them. Finding uploads like this can dispel so many shadows.
I absolutely love Emma! She's always sharing her talent and our traditions, etc. and makes me so proud of my Irish heritage! Had to come back 5/2/19 for a bit more of Emma and, low and behold, I noticed her cameraman has same name as one of my sons. Awesome.
A lovely joyful moment and 125 thumbs down..hm..what´s the matter with some people? The woman dancing is delightful, 3,2 TN thumbs up for the video though, thank God for that!
Another great performance by Emma love watching these vedios I live in the USA and miss all the beautiful IRISH people my family is from Galway hope to get there before l die ,Me Throat Is A Little Dry 🍺🍺🍺🍺
Lets hope for that this could be the baby's first steps into dancing that'll make her want to do more and become a star. That's how all these great artists start out in life, simple small steps to greater things :) . well done for include her and the dancer together!!!
Love this. What a great video. Obviously some natural Irish talent there.. Fab step dancing from our young lady, and the little lad.. Well.. the next Michael Flatley?.. 😂💜👌🇬🇧
watch three times. First, on this cute baby, then on the girl, then together and repeat again. I can't tear myself away. With love from Russia. Thanks google for the translation
I’m a feis dancer, which is competition dancing for Irish dance, and this is different from what you normally see. This is more traditional dance for festivals, and she did a great job!
No, the biggest difference is that this is Sean Nós dancing, a form of Irish dance that (as far as I know) features it's own organisations and competitions, where a large part of the world is a so called Commission dancer (CLRG), featuring far more strict rules about use of the arms and (according to my teacher, who doesn't like Sean Nós dancing) knows more complex steps than Sean Nós. But almost every dancer out there (whether this is CLRG, WIDA or any other organisation) usually let's go of the strict rules on public displays. I get the feeling they are afraid people won't like it otherwise, but I disagree on that part. Sean Nós is the exception as it always features a more loose type of dancing with more use of the arms.
When I was a kid, I was introducdd to Michael Flatley, and I've been a fan of Irash dancing since! I find it so impressive and different from any other form of dancing..
