Even when you have a “divide” between something like Fox and CNN, the only real difference is that Fox is openly right wing, while CNN or MSNBC will speak on the same issue as if “taking issue” with the right wing talking points but still fully agreeing with the far right and condemning the left wing.

That Root article was probably one of the most embarrassing and stomach-churning examples of a modern minstrel show performance I’ve ever heard, this yucky-ass way they use the lib-twitterified “folks” and “bruh” and “y’all” makes me feel like a dog that sensed a disguised Terminator under their skinsuit. There is literally no way a single solitary person in that writer’s entire lineage was even slightly melanated, let alone of African descent. I’d unironically be completely shocked to my core if that were not the case.

From what I've read about the prisoners' response in Rikers Island, they've been cheering Luigi. Jesse Watters and the Root author must have been thinking of how one of their heroes, like Alan Dershowitz, would be treated at a jail/prison.
Imagine telling some pollster over the phone "I have really shitty insurance, just across the board!" Americans are raised to be too prideful for that.
The prison rape joke is completely out of place anyway. One, because he's a folk hero to most prisoners so they wouldn't hurt him to begin with, but also, Rikers isn't a prison. It's a holding facility for people awaiting trial. An atrocious one rife with human rights violations but still. Not prison.
@@robmckennie4203 Yeah ignore that the first thing I said was that prisoners in general wouldn't bother him if it was a prison. Maybe read the entire comment next time.

Some other countries have a similar healthcare situation, so-called "third world countries", or developING countries. Course, no one can tell when any of these will be considered developed, but having a population that doesn't prefer to die at home rather than call an ambulance for the fear of economic consequences for their family would be a start... but I don't think anyone in the world outside the US expects them to ever be considered "developed". They'll always be this rogue wild west, people shooting each other daily anyway, over nothing, and dying of diabetes, going bankrupt over apendicitis... just a bunch of crazies with many big big weapons. And that's how the US likes it, better to be feared, feared like someone escaped from an asylum with all the syringes of the facility, than to get any shadow of respect😂😂 it's a choice... working so far.

A lot of people have chronic or long-term conditions that de facto require them to have insurance to not have to spend hundreds or thousands every month on a bottle of pills that cost twenty dollars to produce.
