I’m going next Sunday with my friends before they move to private schools. We have all grown up together and only found out how much we all love coasters recently, and are going to be finishing a year of amusement parks with the place we found it out at. I’m excited to see it displayed before an emotional year goes to an end!
We just went yesterday and we’re talking about your channel while on line.
I love Nitro. It was my first introduction into hyper coasters. Medusa /Bizzaro is also my favorite of the Midsized B&Ms.
I'm not a coaster enthusiast, but Nitro has always been my favorite coaster. I don't need inversions. Just give me a good smooth ride, speed, air time, and killer first drop, and I'm a happy man. Nitro nails all of those things.
i agree...ii feel like nitros hella underrated
Nitro is amazing and is still so smooth ill never get the hate.
When taking into account full track length, Nitro is actually B&M’s third longest roller coaster, with only Leviathan and Fury 325 being longer.
You can feel it too. I rode it for the first time yesterday. I was blown away by how long it was.
Nitro is longer then orion WAHT
Video loaded straight away, no lag. Chris must be running all 3 trains.
I literally laughed out loud when I saw how bad the pacing for Jersey Devil was. I
was expecting #5 in pacing, but #8? Wow.
Well he didn’t ride it when the trims were turned off sooo
I’ve riden jersey devil first ride in the morning and at 7 at night and it truly does make a massive difference
Dude I loved this vid and the in-depth number crunching. Left me wanting more. Gonna seek out your other "by the numbers" works. Great stuff man!
Nitro is unironically one of the top tier B&M hypers
Middle tier
To anyone complaining about Nitro: I'll gladly bring it to my home park, Silver Dollar City😃
People complain about all of Great Adventure’s coasters except for El Toro and it’s pretty annoying
They got a decent line up . Nitro is fun . Six flags saint Louis could use it
@@mattyorshin I agree St. Louis could use it, and Nitro is fun in its current park. It does get overshadowed by El Toro which is a shame.
That’s really sweet. I’m sure Nitro would enjoy visiting SDC.
Hell no
I'm addicted to these by the numbers videos. Keep up the great content!
Did anyone else notice how jersey devil had 6th in length, 6th in speed, and 6th in drop ??!🤔 Something is up with that 😂
Coincidence?
400 rides on Jersey Devil, over 150 after the initial inspection which sped the ride up dramatically.. You need a re-ride & shouldn’t clock ride time when kinks are still being worked out to make the ride what it should be. Elite drop, great inversions, awesome pacing. But always a Good video 🥃
a looot of NJ natives avoid Green Lantern when we go to Great Adventure. it’s got a reputation for causing injuries. the last time i rode it, my roommate riding with me got a concussion on the ride😬
also: NITRO gets a lot of hate?! i’m surprised! i’ve never heard anyone say something bad about that ride
Just a correction: Worked on Batman: The Ride at SFGAdv this summer, we have it clocked at ~40 sec per run from lift to brakes, fluctuating from 38.9 to 42 seconds depending on weather.
Yeah the povs arent going to be exact every time, who knows when the one i watched was shot
Do
-Six Flags Great America

I plan on doing everything, alternating between models and parks. Next up is arrow loopers
I was thinking that but I didn’t think it was the best idea
Also do Kings Dominion
alway good to be early to a airtime thrill video
When I went on King Da Ka I got a good view of the parking lot, water park and Philadelphia during that second at the top. Felt like I was on a mountain. Nitro felt way more intense, almost got me to grey out.
Finally some love for green lantern, I’ve loved the ride since I first rode it! Back row you get some weird stand up airtime, and though it does have a rattle, the layout and pacing are great. Drop is also good if you’re in the back
Jersey Devil since reopening has been fantastic. No trims, hauls through the course especially after 2-3pm
Good to hear!
Toro still closed, I take it?
@@StamfordBridge yeah, likely all year. They have to redo pretty much all of the track from my understanding
@@Purpleape99 Thanks for confirming. I’m just paranoid that the reworking will make the coaster milder, as sometimes is done in these cases.
@@StamfordBridge from what I can tell based on how the derailed car was sitting, they don’t have to reprofile it, just retrack. So unless they change the trains and wheel type, it should ride the same provided what caused the derail doesn’t require a complete overhaul
@@Purpleape99 Hope you’re right.
Man you must have a job where there is a lot of math involved. These prime ride time videos are so cool!! I got to ride Nitro for the first this past July. It was a night ride and I gotta say that ride is so damn fun. As you know El Toro was down and that was a bummer but we really enjoyed SFGA. Another great video AT! Thank you!
Eyyy new vid big W
My favorite series from you man. Awesome
I'm happy to see my favorite coaster at Great Adventure top the list! Good lass Nitro! :D
Nitro is currently my new number one, so no complaints there.
As for Green Lantern, I went in expecting the worst and was pleasantly surprised how fun it actually was.
Love this series. So many parks you can do with it!
Let’s gooo! New airtime thrills vid!!
You seriously need to give Jersey Devil another chance. It runs much different now with the first gen wheels and with the assembly hugging the track more after the recent shutdown. Plus the trims are off now. JDC has received way too much unnecessary hate; I’ve gotten exactly 100 rides on it and every single one was phenomenal. I rode all iterations of it too
I think i did ride it with the new wheels at least
Looks like a family coaster with an inversion or two
@@AirtimeThrills The new assembly is what’s really helping the ride now. A JDC ride op told me it hugs the track better than before. It helped solve the valleying issues. The new wheels helped it run faster through the second half even with the trims on but now that they’re off these new changes are really bringing out the full potential of the coaster. Definitely try and get a ride later in the day on a return trip
I’m not sure if Stunt Pilot has this new assembly as well. It definitely warmed up faster than JDC did even before it got the first gen wheels and didn’t risk valleying almost every morning
@@doesntmatter4477 arent all steel coasters that
Since you were surprised how slow dark knight was when you remembered the sfgam one being faster, the sfgam one is definitely a bit faster because the sfgam is hardly trimmed at all
love the content! escpically the by the numbers vids!
Dark Knight was also flying when I was at Great America. I'm very suprised it's slower than Lil Devil
I rode it 2 weeks ago at great adventure and it was flying. Extremely chaotic and fast paced in my opinion, surprised the stats say it has slow pacing
Love your channel
Hi Chris
Hi Chris! #discordgang
Discord gang rise up!
I’m fine if you do any park like this I love this series and I hope it continues 🎢
Idea: Rank all of coaster models ever created (maybe do it in parts)
Give me Nitro and El Toro any day, and I'll be a happy theme park patron.
I went to this park three weeks ago today and I said to myself I would ride Crazy Train, Runaway Mine Train and maybe Joker, I only rode Crazy Train…. twice. I’m a wuss but still love seeing all the stats to parks I’ve been too. Great video.
Awesome park! Went there 4 days ago!
you should do this for michigan's adventure!
Yes I wanna see how the rest of the park is besides shiver me timbers
@@allthingscoasters2551 it's pretty preditable but I wanna see all the catgories as opposed to just prime ride time
I got a MA video coming out Thursday
@@AirtimeThrills yes
Just went for the first time. Really liked it. Just sad Cedar Fair doesnt do it many favors.
It’s funny you mention taking in the view on kingda ka, I went on a coaster road trip and didn’t know where Jersey devil was so I went to kingda ka first to try to spot it😅
I’m going this Sunday can’t wait
Great American Scream Machine. Yep. Still there in spirit
If any stand up deserves a flourless conversion, I think it’s green lantern. I hate that ride because it’s painful but the layout is great. I wouldn’t mind getting replacing Bizarro and converting Green Lantern.
I think you need flour to make it not fall apart, I don’t recommend baking without it.
bizarro goin defunct would break my heart
Grab the restraints and lean your head forward, lower the perch so "that" area isn't making contact with that perch, while also giving yourself enough room to have a little bend in the knees, and ride the back row. You can thank me later. Green Lantern then becomes an awesome ride! It's the best stand-up and should always remain as-is. I like it more than Jersey Devil.
Nooooo, you stay away from my beloved Green Lantern!!!!
Umm I guess I’m eating dinner now…thanks for the dinner reminder
Rode Jersey Devil in the morning and the night, also got a ride when they decided not to have the trims kick in like they normally do, yea the later ride makes a big difference with how elements pop. And the trims being tuned down also makes a big difference at the end.
My first rides on Jersey Devil were in the evening, then I rode it several times the next morning. I got back row rides at both times, and it didn't really feel any different to me. Maybe those evening rides were a little faster, but not enough to feel faster or stronger. The airtime was still lacking for anyone not in the back 2 rows. I'm not surprised at all to see it so far down the list on pacing.
Jesus christ I never would have thought for a raptor be paced worse than a b&m flyer
I would love to see a video like this on Carowinds!
Speculating about the worst paced coaster before the video gets to it:
Might it be El Toro? If the turn before the first drop is counted, it certainly eats into the pacing.
edit: oof
thoughts on the haunted mine drop accident at glenwood caverns?
Good video, you should do six flags New England coasters by the numbers
Just finished another sfne video for this month
Gosh do I love Kingda Ka 💚💙
Jersey Devil in the morning and at night is two completely different rides. You gotta get another few rides on it later in the day
Facts
Was there yesterday asking ride operators where the block breaks were
1:48 I didn't know that 2472 ft was worth 71.3 meters, you arrive at the launch track and the ride is already over after less than a quarter of the launch 😂😂😂
Haha i watch these back to pick up these errors but its easy for those to slip thru 😄
The same video but with all the defunct coasters for this park could be interesting! To see where they would slot between the current line up. Great Adventure had some awesome coasters in the past! (Potentially better than their current line up, by the numbers.)
Its insane how many coasters they've taken out
Love the video but also in regards to current coasters and defunct coasters there is actually more current coasters than defunct or they're tied if you count Lil Devil and Road Runner Railway as separate coasters
If if not expect nitro to be at #3! I thought it’s duration was much shorter. Especially as a six flags hyper
Hey my home park. What a nice surprise!
Great Adventure? More like really Great Adventure!!
Green Lantern is a good ride 👌 as long as you get the saddle position correct or if not it will be a painful ride
You should do a video on the new single rail coaster for Magic Mountain.
My home SF!
Are launches being counted in the time or not
It does suck that Nitro is overshadowed because of El Toro but it still is a must ride every visit, and I'd be annoyed if they moved it from my home park.
When is the great escape video coming out
How long do you think the lines be on the first day of Fright Fest??
i went to great adventure yesterday, and i rode jdc once in the morning and it kinda underwhelmed me but then i rode it at 9 pm and i have to say it was hauling like crazy i got legit ejector on the last hills
Proud to live 1.5 hours away from it and Hershey Park, and .5 hours from Dorney.
Couldn't help but notice Jersey Devil ranking *6th* place in the first 3 categories. Coincidence?
You should do one for six flags Great America. They have plenty of coasters so it would make a good video
It’s not on his current schedule
sickkkkkk
What a great way to spend a labor day
Yesterday we went to great adventure and I we went on Jersey devil eight times. 3 times before lunch and 5 times at park closing and at night it ripped through its lay out. The thing is I haven’t rode any other raptor yet so i don’t know how it compares to those
You should do Great America coasters by the numbers.
Can u plz do six flags great America
I love all the roller coasters in Six Flags Great Adventure the Nitro for some reason still stayed my number one no matter what new edition they put in for being the longest roller coaster in the park I wonder if they ever going to either retracted or have something bigger than that but Nitro is number one in my book kudos to you you was on the money
Notification squad!
I’d like to see a Valleyfair episode of this.
Dark Knight is slow but those turns are tiny, even smaller than your average wild mouse, so you feel it. It also doesn't have a single big drop like a lot of others do, instead having a few smaller ones after the turns.
Maybe a video idea could be top 10 coaster comebacks? Either coasters that previously sucked, but the park made changes to make the experience better. Or coasters that the coaster enthusiast community grew to love over time, but not right away. If something like that hasn’t been done already.
Finally, The Great Nor'easter's moment to shine!
@@MattMcIrvin literally the coaster that came to mind when i read the comment
Do a coaster that every major theme park in europe needs video
Please do Hersheypark and Kings Dominion by the numbers
I really want to go here
Anyone know when El Toto might open? I’m going to the park in 2 weeks for the first time
I dont think til next year
I need to get to Jackson
i swear if one more person says nitro would be better if it was in a different park
nitro would be better in a differnt park

Imagine going to the park and finding that Kingda Ka, El Toro, and Bizarro are all closed. The park was still great though.
I would be more dissapointed if it was Jersey Devil, Kindga Ka, and Nitro
@@NortheasternP.T.S. this was actually before Jersey Devil was announced.
@@ThemeParkAvenue Ah. Im just saying for me, that would be the most dissapointing.
For me, Jersey Devil and El Toro were down. Kingda Ka opened as we were heading towards it and it was drizzling in the beginning of the day so we made sure not to miss out.
You should do the Disney parks
Man, Great Adventure needs to work on the water park. 3 times in a row I have visited and many rides are closed. The last time, literally more then half of the rides were closed. They need help with that. Also, add a expansion. It feels a little dry and ever since the cobra slide was taken out, nothing seems very eye catching. They need a new slide that could really wow the people and bring more capacity in.
The water rides are closed due to staffing issues ONLY, there are no other reasons behind their closures. I spoke with several staff and they all say the same thing. The lazy river was closed the last 3 weeks of the season purely because they didn't have enough staff to operate it. The season is over today so its not gonna matter any more until next year.
@@OptimusSubPr1me I feel like that's bull. Although, yes it is corona time right now and it's hard to find staff. But give up just like that?
Can you please do six flags New England by the numbers
Why did you just upload this? Some of us are still at work!
Whadaya mean the kiddie coaster they always had? Aintcha never heard of "Lil' Screamer" which became "Lil Thunder"? It's identical to "Lil' Phantom" at Kennywood. I rode Lil' screamer in 1977. My little brother wasn't even 5 years old yet and he'd ride it pretending he was in an out of control car, screaming "My car! My car!"
Do your thoughts on this park. Great Adventure is my home park.
Incoming Prime ride time video for great adventures defunct coasters?
Please??
You should do cga or sfdc
I think JD needs either more height on the lift to increase speed or maybe reduce the train to 11 or 10 cars. It runs out of umph near the end from what I've seen.
Do the best roller coasters at Michigan's Adventure
