Worth mentioning that Canobie's Corkscrew has been removed from the park map and website, and while it was an older cookie cutter corkscrew I feel it's a huge loss for a park that only has two other reputable coasters (Yankee Cannonball and Untamed).

Having ridden most coasters in AZ, I actually think that the E. F. Miler coaster at a park called Schnepf Farms is our best coaster. 4-5 rounds, and every hill gives great airtime and laterals. The front has flojector, the back (the best seat) has the first drop's standing airtime, and standard ejector on every hill, except the small banked hill near the station which gives maybe a small pop of floater. I was baffled the first time I rode it. The coaster also looks nothing like it does on RCDB. Now it is surrounded by trees, and it has some "theming" in the center because the park is run better now than before (from what I heard from visitors). It is a massive sleeper-hit.

I've never been to Elitch Gardens, but Cyclone may be good enough to steal the crown from any of their coasters, but I doubt it will defy defiance in it's future demand for Colorado's top coaster.

The Dragon at Adventureland was actually decent. Granted the only rides were from my GP days, but still, I got some mild floater (which means I thought it was crazy strong back then, butterflies and all,) off the straight drop and the loops were nicely forceful. But the end helixes made for some headbanging. It's one I still would rate decently, though.

I've only been to a few states, but I'll provide my take regardless:
    Tennessee:
    Best - Lightning Rod
Worst - Gatlinburg Mountain Coaster (It's fun, but way too short for the price. Just ride Smoky Mountain or Rocky Top instead.) (Whistle Punk Chaser if you consider kids rides, Blazing Fury if you consider it not a kids ride.)
    Georgia:
Best - Goliath (Twisted Cyclone is also awesome. The new Fun Spot RMC looks like it could be the new #1)
Worst - Great American Scream Machine (Not as rough as some say, but it still hurts. It's also got practically no airtime sadly. Dahlonega Mine Train and Go Bananas came close, but these are all around much more fun, even if they're smaller. If Cheetah were still open, I'd choose it. If including kids rides, Kiddie Coaster at Fun Spot Atlanta.)
    Florida:
Best - Mako (Honorable mentions to Manta, Incredible Hulk, and Hagrid's; Florida has some incredible coasters! Iron Gwazi and/or VelociCoaster could take my favorite in the future.)
Worst - Hurricane (It's still fun, but not as good as the others in the state. If considering family coasters, Barnstormer, if you don't call that a kiddie ride. If considering kids rides, Sea Serpent.)
    South Carolina:
Best - Intimidator (Copperhead Strike is a close second)
Worst - Nighthawk (DON'T take this the wrong way-- this ride is great! I rank it close to Afterburn even. Something in Family Kingdom looks to be the worst whenever I go there. If including kiddie coasters, Woodstock Express (which also pains me to say). It'd be Kiddy Hawk but it was closed most of the day, or Wilderness Run if you didn't need a kid to ride it (which was frustrating to learn).)
    North Carolina:
    Best - Fury 325
Worst - Carolina Goldrusher (Another one that I'm sad to choose. Once I ride Ricochet, it'll change (It had a decent line all day). I liked Carolina Cyclone a bit better (I guess) and Vortex actually wasn't that bad.)

Lightning Rod is excellent, although there is a pretty rough patch right at the bottom after the big wave turn. I found it damn near impossible not to end up getting stapled there. Otherwise it's incredible, although I can't compare it to the original state of the ride as I only first rode it this year. I'm so glad Dollywood is my home park, I never would've thought growing up that it would end up getting one of the most sought after credits in the country. On that note, same with Carowinds as a secondary home park a bit farther away. Man what a year to rediscover my love for coasters!

I had the same problem with the roughness/stapling on Lightning Rod when I rode in 2019. Hopefully the retracking takes care of that.

1:28 Rushmore mountain coaster was one of my first roller coasters and I was super scared of it but my dad rode it with me and he was using the brakes almost the whole ride but I remember having fun riding it. Keep in mind I was a little lad and was still scared of roller coasters at the time

2:23 I love this loop, I don't care what anyone says. I actually prefer (Canobie's) Untamed to the Yankee Cannonball, but Untamed is technically a cookie-cutter ride (like Adrenaline Peak/Hydrus except it has an extra helix) while the Cannonball is a unique classic PTC woodie, so I probably shouldn't in some moral sense.
However, for roller coasters in NH one should also consider the dark horse, Roar-O-Saurus at Story Land. Yeah, I suppose you could call it a kiddie coaster, and it's very short, but it's got the wildest airtime in the state. NH also has some alpine coasters, but I have not ridden them.
The worst is indeed the Canobie Corkscrew; however, that coaster may never run again, so it may be necessary to pick something else, which would be hard if you exclude kiddie and family rides. Might be one of the alpine coasters by default.

I went to Canobie Lake park in NH a lot growing up, and even though it just has three non-kiddie coasters, I'd vouch for your assumptions here - their Gerstlauer eurofighter is solid, but has pretty bad restraints, while Yankee Canonball has surprisingly great airtime and a super fun first drop. You're spot on with Canobie Corkscrew's reputation - it's an old Arrow looper which runs so rough, my brother once literally got a concussion from really nasty headbanging.

As the Colorado native here, I'm going with a super unpopular opinion by saying the best roller coaster in the state is Wild Chipmunk at Lakeside, mainly because of the restraints. It has none. Not even a seatbelt. And that makes a pretty standard wild mouse layout surprisingly thrilling.

Nice video. I consider myself a coaster enthusiast and yet, credits mean nothing to me when facing a ride with a bad reputation. Not worth the pain! Heck, I’ve skipped good rides for long lines when there was a better ride to be had. Case in point, Flight of Fear vs a 4th Twisted Timber’s ride just before we left KD. Picked Twisted Timber’s. Skipped Apple Zapple because over both days 45 minutes for that ride was BS. But I have kids so we mini marathoned Great Pumpkin, which is was a nice way to spend time between running over to the other side of the park for that RMC dream 😅
Anyway, this video definitely informed me of several hard skips so thank you!

Don't know if you'll see this at this point, but as a heads up I have ridden canobie corkscrew in NH and absolutely the worst, everytime I rode I came off with a headache. However, as of now they have permanently shut it down. They have a new coaster though I have not had a chance to ride it yet. Had my first ride on Yankee Cannonball in the rear recently and the rear seat has good air time. My other rides were not in the front and air time was minimal but that rear seat surprised me, and seemed to have aged well for a 90 year old woodie. Untamed is a gerstlauer euro-fighter. Love your videos.

Your opinion on Wild Eagle is totally accurate, but I also spent a day this year tracking down as many of the mountain coasters in PIgeon Forge/Gatlinburg this year as I could and there are some duds that I would rank much lower than Wild Eagle (namely Gatlinburg Mountain Coaster).

      5. Gatlinburg Mountain Coaster
      6. Rocky Top Mountain Coaster
Some of these I just got one ride on and that was enough for me. I would definitely recommend night rides for Smoky Mountain and Goat Coaster. Rocky Top advertises itself as the longest but it's because it has way too many brake runs and lifts throughout to ever really pick up speed. Smoky Mountain is absolutely relentless and I went back to re-ride it multiple times on my trip. I'm partial to Ober Gatlinburg because it is so far off the beaten path that it's really kinda lovely and different.

Kinda crazy I can claim the credit for Adventureland's former coaster The Dragon, seeing as it was my first coaster I ever rode that had inversions. Tornado was my first adult coaster, and I don't remember it being all that rough and it had decent floater, though it has been a long time (over 10 years) since I went, and I don't doubt it's aged a lot. I remember the Dragon being pretty jerky but also pretty forceful, especially with the turns and the positives on the loops, so take that how you will. I'd probably put The Dragon above Tornado, though if you were to ask me as a kid, I liked Tornado better and marathoned it for a little while since the park was pretty quiet that day.
I'm curious to see how Monster actually is, as I've actually never been on the Gerstlauer Infinity model, and the only Euro-Fighter I've touched is Mystery Mine.
Fun video nonetheless, looking forward to part 2!

My home state is Iowa, use to go to Adventureland all the time! The Dragon was definitely the worst coaster. It was short, and the entire ride after the drop was extremely rough. There was a section after the loops where it did a couple turns and it would literally throw you from side to side and your head would bounce off the seat. Bad coaster for sure.

Idk what I’d put for the worst, and besides Six Flags Great America and Kings Island I haven’t been to many theme parks with thrill rides but I’ve been to Disneyworld, Universal Studios(both Orlando parks) Indiana Dunes and Mount Olympus when I was pretty young so ig favorites for Florida, Indiana and Wisconsin would be respectively Space Mountain, Cornball Express, and Zeus. Just moved to Vermont so ig I gotta ride the two mountain coasters here and go down to Mass to visit Six Flags New England.

The alpine coaster at Wisp Resort in Deep Creek is the best coaster in Maryland. Yes I prefer it to all of Six Flags America's coasters, it's by far the craziest Alpine coaster I've ridden, there's no forced breaking from a computer like you see on some alpine coasters such as the ones in the Pigeon Forge/Gatlinberg area so you can get going a pretty crazy speed. It has legit airtime and I was actually a little scared of getting thrown out with how it tossed me around (knowing it wouldn't). Highly recommend picking up that credit the next time you're in Maryland, it's worth it.
