    If u can get the egr tube off the exhaust, cut the pipe and remove the flare from the nut.. stick a nickel in the exhaust, and screw the nut back on. Same with the aiv. Worked perfect on my truck! Heard the trick on the Local Losers channel

    Check valve should be a one way valve... So pressure shouldn't accumulate and cause a crack...

    I just unplugged it from the tube on the gas tank and that was it. I plan on adding some type of breather later on

    For CA smog inspection, i keep all my OEM parts, (except AIV, completely removed and plugged in exhaust side)
    I isolate and unplug the following vacuum hoses to: EGR/BTV, SCV, and AIV (canadian idle test). I do it for better throttle response.
    I will only have to replug the EGR/BTV hoses for inspections. Most smog guys look for the EGR setup (vacuum hoses and solenoid), you cannot completely remove it.
    Your average smog guy doesn’t know anything about SCV and AIV or even coolant lines running
    Into your throttle body.
    I find passing smog easier in major cities (Especially if you can knock out ten cars in one hour) than small cities, unless u know someone. Also a less intelligent smog guy is a plus.

    Bro, use a Nickel to block the EGR to the Intake. Literally $.05 lol
    Try to remove the fitting from the exhaust manifold. Otherwise cut off 3-5inches and you can weld, pinch/fold, or put a bolt in the there with HIGH temp copper $8/tube.
    Just did this on my D21 hit me up.

    do i have to extend the line or can i just put a breather on the remaining hose?

  • @zxKrookedxz
    @zxKrookedxz 5 лет назад

    i dont see how making the line vent from the front to the rear makes it so it wont explode. you can leave the hard line that goes into the engine bay but some people take it out for a cleaner look

    • @flossingarage4933
      @flossingarage4933  4 года назад

      o Lemurs there’s a check valve in the line and when leaving the check valve it doesn’t allow pressure to escape .

    I realize that this video is a couple of years old so I'm not sure if you'll answer this post but I will see :) Do you remember if that canister had a hose attached to the bottom of it?? I've had a 1991 Nissan Stanza KA24E for about 11 years and I have a 1991 Service Manual from Nissan and my canister has a hose on the bottom but I can't find a reference to the hose in the Service Manual (from hell) it runs from the canister to a support by the driver side wheel well to what looks like some kind of air filter? Seems to me that it's restricting air since it's a small nipple covering entire bottom of canister...Thanks Steve

      Steve Armijo so the canister only has 3 on the top, this is actually an 89’ so by 91’ they may have changed but to my knowledge it only has 3 lines on top of the canister it self

      +Deviant Gang Frank im doing this to my 1997 nissan hardody 4x4 and was wondering will this effect my gas milage or performace any i know it will throw codes because of it

    • @flossingarage4933
      @flossingarage4933  6 лет назад

      Jessi Looney if you are removing the charcoal canister it will not throw a code and will not effect gas mileage . Charcoal canister is only to help fumes from the gas tank and help vent it properly.
      Everything else that is egr will effect gas Mileage but not drastically maybe 2-3 miles less per gallon to be honest

    • @flossingarage4933
      @flossingarage4933  6 лет назад

      Also the egr removals will not throw a code as long as you remove everything
