Honestly if they wanted to do this they should have done an adaptation of “We are Robin” its a story about a bunch of teenagers using Robin as a revolutionary figure. It has the teenage characters, it can have riverdale style drama and they are all vigalantes and actively hunted by the police so you can keep that aspect. Plus most of the characters in the gang aren’t famous or popular aside from Duke Thomas so not only do they not have to worry about fanboys getting upset about versions of there favourite heroes but also the CW can just plop there own characters in the gang and no-one will particularly care.
We are robin was low-key great, and even some of the crossover material would've fit in with the cw with very little tweaking, giving them access to much more to draw from... Also would've put some respect on the death of Batman

Jason Todd figured out how to dismantle the Bat-mobile in minutes. Tim Drake was an orphan who was able to deduce the identity of Batman by himself before he knew him. Turner Lives with Bruce Wayne for how long and couldn't out shit. No wonder they didn't include the other Robins, this kid would have looked like more of an idiot by comparison.
And also Dick Greyson who was orphaned and Bruce Wayne felt pity on Dick and wanted him to channel his grief and anger into something of a crime fighter his his Batman persona is. And Damien. He was literally his biological son from Bruce’s man juice Onto Talias belly and was trained by the league of assassins and Bruce wanted to help Damien turn his assassins skills into something of crime fighting like his Batman persona has. The CW writers killing Batman is like a fetish at this point. They have killed Kevin Conroy's live-action Batman (A stunt which still makes my blood boil to this day) and Gotham Knights Batman, and we still have no confirmation of what happened to Batman in Batwoman. Then they add lines like "Bruce gave into his darkness" or some shit, which only proves they don't understand Batman as a character even more. Batman is a hero who turned his own pain and grief into something good, a symbol which gives hope to the people of Gotham that is hellbent on making sure no one else has to go through what he did. That no other 8-year-old becomes an orphan. Bruce Wayne is a good man who never gave in to Darkness, and who channelled his pain into accomplishing something far bigger than himself.
Man, I had a great time watching this with a friend. Everything was done so badly, I really thought I've seen the worst but I now know I've only scratched the surface of how bad entertainment can be. RIP Cw, you will not be missed.

And instead our main characters are people that aren't from any of the comics and are wholly original to this show? The fact this show even made it to the planning stage let alone filming is mind-blowing.

Idk. With the CW getting sold for $0.00, all the money they undoubtedly lost on 'Batwoman,' and it likely under new management, I don't think it will. 'Batwoman' lasting as long as it did was a purely political move, as it got renewed for S3 after only a couple S2 episodes had premiered, and those episodes got laughable ratings; Hell, the Critical Drinker's RUclips video making fun of the S2 premiere got more views than the premiere itself did! Plus, don't forget 'Naomi' only getting half a season! So, I doubt they'll be holding onto such ratings bombs for very long anymore. No one, for the last, maybe a decade or more, respects what DC was, or what the marquee characters mean, to so many people. Batman is one of the absolute greatest and most important characters, in and out of the universe. And they think we'll tune in, to see him being torn down, again, and again? It's crazy. To think, in DC Comics, now, the big leaguers are being passed to terrible writers, who have failed, again and again. In movies, James Gunn ans crew are throwing together a juvenile, mixed up universe, with crap no one asked for, after two projects that we're very good, to begin with. And now this hits the air. How was this not canceled, and how do these people still have jobs? I'll never understand.

Honestly, if there IS a place where a child would be raised among dangerous criminals, it's Arkham Ayslum in Gotham City. That much feels potentially comic canon.
Except Arkham Asylum is home to the most dangerous killers, thugs and rapists in all of Gotham. A baby, much less a young girl, would NEVER last in a place like that. Also, no such facility would allow children (unless they were locked up for being psychotic) on the grounds (and even then, it would be a separate facility because the state would never allow adults and kids to share a facility, much less the caliber of patients of Arkham where some of the inmates have killed kids before), except for visits to her mom.
From what I understand, Cullen Row in the comics is Gay, but not Transgender. Really feels like they only made him Transgender in the show is so that the writers can say "Officer Transphobe is a villain". Harper occasionally shows up and is a vigilante called "Bluebird", but her appearances are so few and far between, I doubt the casual Batman viewer even knows she exists.
If they wanted a trans character they could've used Batgirl's Trans friend who's whol personality is "Batgirls Trans Friend" unless she was wrapped up in the movie. Still, it seems just being gay isn't trendy enough.

Turner intentionally crashing the transport would actually make some sense had the police been winning the fight. But that would make sense, so they obviously couldn't do that.

Here's something to think about Thorias: Batwoman got three seasons before it was cancelled. With all the boxes that are being ticked now, how many more seasons do you think this will get?
Probably multiple seasons under the previous regime. Zazlav's regime is a lot more focused on cutting stuff that doesn't make money, so I'll be surprised if they produce any more episodes than the ones they've already shot.
Given half aced (YT censor) the show was and little attention it got Zaslav probably thought they were referring to the video game of the same name when asked whether to release it or not.
That laughing at the start is what got me. I thought, "Oh damn, they broke Thorias!" But after the second one I thought, "Okay, this has gotta be good." Glad to see you enjoying the trash for a change.
The moment they introduced Joe Chill's gun and made it the _fecking_ _murder_ _weapon,_ I think I realized that this truly was the spiritual successor to Batwoman in terms of writing quality. Someone with knowledge of Batman, modest writing skill, and the brainpower to handle walking and breathing at the same time would have said "Bruce Wayne keeps the gun that killed his parents in his office? What? No. No, that's fecking stupid." Easy improvement that I thought of in about 10 seconds after seeing that scene: rip off Batman Begins, and make it the gun that Bruce almost used to _kill_ Joe Chill before being intercepted by Rachel and a League assassin doing the job for him. Wouldn't that have more significance? Killing Chill would have been Bruce crossing a line that Batman swore he never would, and the fact that he narrowly avoided becoming a killer by giving in to his hate would be of pretty big importance to him. Hell, it would even justify why the gun was loaded: it would still contain the bullets that he almost fired in anger, but did not. Meanwhile, we have Bruce just casually keeping the gun that killed his parents in his office safe, and...keeping it loaded? What? WHAT Honestly, that's one of the details that I find the most infuriating. But then again, in addition to being terrible writers, I'm sure that nobody in the writer's room has ever held a real gun before, much less fired one. I imagine they just assume that guns always have bullets in them by default, so it probably never even crossed their mind that they implicitly had Bruce Wayne _load_ _the_ _gun_ _that_ _killed_ _his_ _parents._ And of course, it looks fresh out of the box, so I guess he's also been cleaning and oiling it for decades.

It's strange to be a Batman fan at this time. Your relationship with Star Wars is my relationship with Batman. It's my oldest memory and my fondest IP. Sometimes, I'm spoiled with something great like The Batman from last year, and then I get something like this. I can rewatch the Nolan films, but Batwoman will always exist. And I'll always be an outcast on the Batman subreddit because I enjoy Gotham (mostly for Cameron Monaghan). If there's one thing I was curious about with this show, tho, it was Misha Collins as TwoFace. I just started watching Supernatural, and I think if Gotham Knights had better writing, he could be one of my favorite takes on the character, up there with TellTale and Broken Promise.

I laughed at the absurdity of a child not being put in foster care and raised in Arkham....but thhen again, this is Gotham City, the same city in the same state that does not allow the death penalty for mass murderers like the Joker because the plot needs him to constantly escape so Batman can catch him. And nobody on this show can act. I am guessing this is being filmed in Canada where they get huge tax breaks for hiring local actors, so they must have scoured amateur acting classes and hired these kids with minimal talent to maximize savings. Finally, the Gotham Knights game, for all it's faults, at least established the four main characters with an emotional tie to Bruce Wayne ...both in and out of costume....andade Batman die doing what he does best, not die like some movie villain by being pushed out of the window of his own office. I guess they deserve points for featuring a heterosexual love scene in the first episode, but hey, i bet Stephanie will get it on with the bisexual chick at some point....

For what it's worth the idea that Batman's refusal to off the Joker has resulted in countless deaths and that he could stop them just by ending the Joker has been a pretty big thing in the Comics/animated movies lately so the idea of Batman killing the Joker isn't really too much of a stretch, but even then they need to do it properly. They should go the Trigun route where Vash the Stampede went hundreds of years without ever killing anyone only to be forced into a situation near the end of the series where he was forced to kill someone to protect those he cared for. It ended up completely break him to the point where he didn't even defend himself when he was attacked alter on. Something like this could be used to explain Batman's removal from the series. Either one he decided to retire and fake his death since he no longer felt he was worthy of the mantle after giving the Joker what he wanted, or two he was so distracted by what he had done it caused him to slip up leading to his death.

No one, for the last, maybe a decade or more, respects what DC was, or what the marquee characters mean, to so many people. Batman is one of the absolute greatest and most important characters, in and out of the universe. And they think we'll tune in, to see him being torn down, again, and again? It's crazy. To think, in DC Comics, now, the big leaguers are being passed to terrible writers, who have failed, again and again. In movies, James Gunn ans crew are throwing together a juvenile, mixed up universe, with crap no one asked for, after two projects that we're very good, to begin with. And now this hits the air. How was this not canceled, and how do these people still have jobs? I'll never understand.

Honestly, if there IS a place where a child would be raised among dangerous criminals, it's Arkham Ayslum in Gotham City. That much feels potentially comic canon.
That's the origin of the comic version of the Arkham Knight, with the Batman villains helping a woman in the asylum whilst she goes into labour.
Except Arkham Asylum is home to the most dangerous killers, thugs and rapists in all of Gotham. A baby, much less a young girl, would NEVER last in a place like that. Also, no such facility would allow children (unless they were locked up for being psychotic) on the grounds (and even then, it would be a separate facility because the state would never allow adults and kids to share a facility, much less the caliber of patients of Arkham where some of the inmates have killed kids before), except for visits to her mom.

From what I understand, Cullen Row in the comics is Gay, but not Transgender. Really feels like they only made him Transgender in the show is so that the writers can say "Officer Transphobe is a villain".
Harper occasionally shows up and is a vigilante called "Bluebird", but her appearances are so few and far between, I doubt the casual Batman viewer even knows she exists.
If they wanted a trans character they could've used Batgirl's Trans friend who's whol personality is "Batgirls Trans Friend" unless she was wrapped up in the movie. Still, it seems just being gay isn't trendy enough.
Yep. Collin is gay in the comics. Not sure of Harper, but if Young Justice is anything to consider, she's bi and/or gay.

Turner intentionally crashing the transport would actually make some sense had the police been winning the fight. But that would make sense, so they obviously couldn't do that.
Joker's joke of a daughter could very easily grow up in Arkham as long as you just assume he organized it that way. Joker has pulled off much worse in there already.

Here's something to think about Thorias: Batwoman got three seasons before it was cancelled. With all the boxes that are being ticked now, how many more seasons do you think this will get?
Probably multiple seasons under the previous regime. Zazlav's regime is a lot more focused on cutting stuff that doesn't make money, so I'll be surprised if they produce any more episodes than the ones they've already shot.

The moment they introduced Joe Chill's gun and made it the _fecking_ _murder_ _weapon,_ I think I realized that this truly was the spiritual successor to Batwoman in terms of writing quality.
Someone with knowledge of Batman, modest writing skill, and the brainpower to handle walking and breathing at the same time would have said "Bruce Wayne keeps the gun that killed his parents in his office? What? No. No, that's fecking stupid."
Easy improvement that I thought of in about 10 seconds after seeing that scene: rip off Batman Begins, and make it the gun that Bruce almost used to _kill_ Joe Chill before being intercepted by Rachel and a League assassin doing the job for him.
Wouldn't that have more significance? Killing Chill would have been Bruce crossing a line that Batman swore he never would, and the fact that he narrowly avoided becoming a killer by giving in to his hate would be of pretty big importance to him. Hell, it would even justify why the gun was loaded: it would still contain the bullets that he almost fired in anger, but did not.
Meanwhile, we have Bruce just casually keeping the gun that killed his parents in his office safe, and...keeping it loaded? What?

Honestly, that's one of the details that I find the most infuriating. But then again, in addition to being terrible writers, I'm sure that nobody in the writer's room has ever held a real gun before, much less fired one. I imagine they just assume that guns always have bullets in them by default, so it probably never even crossed their mind that they implicitly had Bruce Wayne _load_ _the_ _gun_ _that_ _killed_ _his_ _parents._
And of course, it looks fresh out of the box, so I guess he's also been cleaning and oiling it for decades.

It's strange to be a Batman fan at this time. Your relationship with Star Wars is my relationship with Batman. It's my oldest memory and my fondest IP. Sometimes, I'm spoiled with something great like The Batman from last year, and then I get something like this. I can rewatch the Nolan films, but Batwoman will always exist. And I'll always be an outcast on the Batman subreddit because I enjoy Gotham (mostly for Cameron Monaghan). If there's one thing I was curious about with this show, tho, it was Misha Collins as TwoFace. I just started watching Supernatural, and I think if Gotham Knights had better writing, he could be one of my favorite takes on the character, up there with TellTale and Broken Promise.

I laughed at the absurdity of a child not being put in foster care and raised in Arkham....but thhen again, this is Gotham City, the same city in the same state that does not allow the death penalty for mass murderers like the Joker because the plot needs him to constantly escape so Batman can catch him.
And nobody on this show can act. I am guessing this is being filmed in Canada where they get huge tax breaks for hiring local actors, so they must have scoured amateur acting classes and hired these kids with minimal talent to maximize savings.
Finally, the Gotham Knights game, for all it's faults, at least established the four main characters with an emotional tie to Bruce Wayne ...both in and out of costume....andade Batman die doing what he does best, not die like some movie villain by being pushed out of the window of his own office.
I guess they deserve points for featuring a heterosexual love scene in the first episode, but hey, i bet Stephanie will get it on with the bisexual chick at some point....
I only care for Harvey Dent and Carrie Kelly but that's not really for the characters but the actors playing them. Misha Collins from Supernatural and Navia Robinson from Disney Channel's, Raven's Home.

It doesn't matter what they say about the fact that this show is for their peers and not the audience, because "of course they'd say that", and any claims that they're making shows like this for diversity, it's not for the audience because their peers and their savior's complex DEMAND that these shows be made WITHOUT the public in mind. When you're an activist, the public can't be considered because of what the orthodoxy requires of the woke individual, meaning that the public is more akin to being in the way than what makes the scenic view rewarding.
This show is for no one. How could it be for anyone when it was made by vain people?

For what it's worth the idea that Batman's refusal to off the Joker has resulted in countless deaths and that he could stop them just by ending the Joker has been a pretty big thing in the Comics/animated movies lately so the idea of Batman killing the Joker isn't really too much of a stretch, but even then they need to do it properly. They should go the Trigun route where Vash the Stampede went hundreds of years without ever killing anyone only to be forced into a situation near the end of the series where he was forced to kill someone to protect those he cared for. It ended up completely break him to the point where he didn't even defend himself when he was attacked alter on. Something like this could be used to explain Batman's removal from the series. Either one he decided to retire and fake his death since he no longer felt he was worthy of the mantle after giving the Joker what he wanted, or two he was so distracted by what he had done it caused him to slip up leading to his death.
Maybe Bruce Wayne keeps the bat cowl in his office in case catwoman shows up in a frisky mood. 😂
