- My MMA debut highlights; obviously edited in my favor… ;) I was prepared for a tough fight but Roko still surprised me with his resilience and will. The man just kept coming forward… & I think that’s what made this a great fight.
This was a semi-pro fight so 3x3min rounds and NO elbows or knees to the head.
I know I’m much better than what I showed that night & I can’t wait to get back in there & get a finish.
Also I know it looks like my cardio is not the best but actually I lost too much weight for the fight (nerves, inexperience…) and was quite depleted during the fight… Had I done the weight cut correctly I believe this would be a walk in the park… I’ll make sure not to repeat the same mistake next time. ;)
In each case I think I did good and I absolutely loved the experience!

Huge difference in power is evident but most impressive is how well rounded your game was and your mental composure for it being your debut, awesome work
I was thinking the same thing. Very composed with cool head, knowing exactly what needs to be done, landed some heavy blows and came out nicely from potential ankle lock. Watched it with enjoyment.

@@trdic I was wondering about the stamina, I just assumed the pace was very very high for you both to be fatigued that quick, then I read the description. Good to learn from weight cut mistake and can't wait to see your next fight. I believe footwork is where you will shine with all the cali and reflex work you've been putting in over the years. You have fast twitch low telegraph strikes (your leg kicks are amazingly fast and powerful). Can't wait to see the head movement and take down defense improve more as you level up!
P.S. I was worried I would start seeing you doing some crazy Window style diving spinning kicking shit in MMA, but I'm glad you stuck to basics haha

What I noticed is that you were able to stay very cool, calm and collected and never got reckless after hurting your opponent.
If you hurt your opponent you kept up the pressure but never to the abandonment of your composure.
You were able to defend the leglock attempts of your opponent by staying calm and intelligent.
Well deserved win, your hard work clearly showed itself off.

You did a lot of damage with your fast and heavy low kick, few more and his leg loud become eggplant.
I like how he adapted to catch this low kick. You could have adapted as well, throwing some lighter and faster ones, then a big head kick :)

This was great for a debut fight. Work on keeping that guard high, and focus on explosive training like jumps and sprints and you will be unstoppable. Your striking technique is very solid, you have a killer left hook. Keep it up brother! Bela Krajina je zate!

We knew the boxing would be there and I am also not surprised about the power of the kicks. What really impressed me was the killer instinct with the boxing and the calm and presence of mind in the grappling exchanges.
The thing is - at this age you cant have a slow build up to gather experience and up the ladder those chechnyan wrestlers are waiting for anyone dreaming of securing a belt for himself. I will follow the journey for sure. Really impressive for a debut.

It seemed like every hit of yours was very well thought through, calm, composed, no chaos whatsoever. It would be cool to see how you'd fare against someone who'd throw you into a heated exchange or speed up the tempo. All in all, great beginning, hope you stay victorious. I wish I could fight at least half as well as you :)

Awesome beginning ! If you have just a little bit more ju-jitsu skills, you have him at the second round (leg lock against leg lock). Try to find Erik Paulson's video tutorials on that, he is a monster on leg locks.
Concerning your mental, you are already on the game, focused and a good sens of timing to hit hard. Really good on standing fight. Your combinations will improve time to time.

Would have loved to have seen some different arm bar attempts when you had side control though. He was weaker then you and also looked too tired to have defended them.
It takes a lot of energy to G&P that could have gone into getting a finish from any sort of arm bar.

Damn much better than expected. Next time to try to set up your kicks more. Your punching power is impressive. You definitely have the power to KO someone. I noticed you are heavy on your feet, so i would maybe try to add 52 blocks to your arsenal, like Yoel Romero. it is really underrated. I think it fits your style. Personally after i added 52 blocks to my sparring, i blocked a lot of punches. Barely got any punches to my face.
Forgot to add, it was awesome to see how cool and collected you were. You barely panicked. You definitely have a fighting style of your own.

I come from qmateur boxing and Gr wrestling , Mate you have great boxing solid crosses + great leaping hooka, but i think you need more grappling work
