With the twin turbo set up it's making over 1000hp. If you all ever get a chance to see it in person, I'm telling you, you will be impressed. It's an amazing car. I was blessed to have lived in Japan and known the owner of a shop that knows Signal's owner.
damn rivalry on youtube. dudes both engines are great.i red on a site that the rb-26 can sustain more hits than a 2jz meaning all the pressure.but 2jz can go further than a rb-26 on horsepowers. but both of them are the engines for great drag racing
yea i think so too..even in drift 4wd cars do well... it was just his choice 2 do the rwd conversion... but a stock skyline launches as a rwd and after a short time the front wheels come back in to play again........there's a name 4 it i cant remember it though..

I havent and dont expect it to hold 1000hp. I was exaggerating but i ment there is as much chance as an SR running very long with 1000hp and standard internals as there is for and RB. My point was a standard RB will not hold 1000hp for long if at all.

yea dude it is..i live in the same country his vid was filmed in...its a real signal auto...pretty sick it in some other vids also...its crazy on the streets but the guy has it rwd and with the power sometimes he cant hold it down on the launch...bad ass supra also..30 psi i think and on c16..
supras are alot more technical then skylines as a mechanic it makes sense to obv most people that the skyline should be better but theres a whole supra community and its about love for your car, and yes supras are usually slower in these vids but get the best of the best from either car and the upra takes it down, all you have to do is look at the records :)
yes the supra motor has more potential, but if u are able 2 do a few passes in a RBwith stock internals with 1000hp THEN THE CAR IS RATED AT 1000hp HOW DO U THINK THEY TEST THEm... u basically are confusing yourself so u tell me wat rated 2 1000hp means... if u have a block and are running it at 1000hp without it blowing then u can and then u check the specs on the bottom end and it clearly says that it can hold 1000hp then why even question me.. u clearly didnt check
Do you think there is some world wide organization that rates engine to 1000hp or something? That is just BS said by magazines it means nothing. For something to be rated at a certain power lvls (like turbos) they need to be able to consistently make that power. You keep telling me too check what am i supposed to be checking?? I mean if it said on Nissan japans websites or Nismo Japans website that a completely standard bottom end is fine for 1000hp ille agree but it doesnt now does it.
as far as u calling cali that was another guy i was talking 2... and not in oder 2 be rated at 1000hp u must do atleast two runs successfully so the RB had 2 clearly do it... as far as 600hp goes i have friends that blow there 2jz motors at that amount of hp it doesnt mean that is all the car can take
i give props to the skyline but honestly i think supra's are better..the 2jzgte can take a whole lot more abuse on stock internals versus the rb26 i mean yeah the awd system is nice on the skyline but it still doesnt stand a chance against the supra all depending on how its tuned or driven
Unless you drift I still don't see why do people even bother buying a GT-R and turn it RWD? If its known for its prowess in AWD mode then why bother? The 3kGT was AWD I hear not one person turning it into RWD. Just my thought.
When it comes to street cars (which is what matters) GTR is always gonna be faster. I totally agree 2j is the better engine but there is nothing that great about the supra itself. The supra you mention doing 6.40 is quite abit more modded then the 7.37 GTR. In complete street trim we have GTR's here doing 8's. I think a low 10 is still the fastest supra using radials here. I realise you probs have faster ove there but still doubt they are doing low 8's.
The only reason the Skyline lost was because he couldn't control the car... Although I do love Supras, a 950HP Signal Tuned Skyline could smoke a 950HP Titian Tuned Supra any day...

Whoever drove the Skyline needs to go back to racing school, or at least sign up. The driver in the Supra didn't even have to try. Race would've been way closer.

He was probably still getting used to that car Kids can go in to any performance shop with their car and throw money at them 2 build a beast. But can u handle that car when the hammer is dropped? And this guy is an adult who loves the Signal R34 like me. Some performance shops should tell their immature customers to drive the car hard with them riding shotgun I garuntee they would say how could u want X amount more horsepower when u can't even handle the power it came with already...

answer to all of you...both GTR n Supra are fast. but 2jz > rb26 is true. reason why ppl think GTRs are faster n can do low 8s with mods all coz of its 4wd. on the drag, unless Supras on full slicks, its too hard to get t off the line with good launch, but once Supra starts roling, we say BYE BYE GTR, on a straight line that is. but overall, GTR is a slightly better car with all round performance.
i love both cars so its hard to bitch about this but i personally think that the supra had no chance against the r34 it looks to me that the driver doesnt know how to handle a car with that much power

Yeah, cuz a supura doesn't hold the fastest standing mile street car speed at 242mph or anything. Supras owners/fanboys might be cocky as hell, but their cars have ALWAYS backed up their mouths. Skylines are always hit or miss, and even then top end supras lay waste to all competition.

Yeah it is. Its an exact duplicate of the shop car they have in japan. I would have them HKS Mine's MCR or even Esprit build my GT-R (I wish) But I wouldnt have decked it out like the Signal r34 thats too much for me. Like to keep it simple. Well i was sadly dissapointed with the video quailtiy as for the cameraman just did a horrible job capturing the video. But the R34 owner needs to make more videos maybe even a demo run of his car. I still say the gtr would have won

Big deal when turned into a "drag car" the supra is better. When they are more street car based which is how they can should be compared the GTR shits all over Supra. Pretty sure the fastest GTR on street tyres and registered is still around a sec faster then the closest supra. We have them here in the mid 8's.
