- In this series I'm building a drivable electric minature of my series 2 Land Rover. In this first video I'll be lifting the suspension, Modifying the Chassis and fitting a new steering system. #dudleyhewett #totrods #homemadetoys #minilandrover
Interestly indeed amazing Dudley
Thank you for such great videos
Another brilliantly explained and throughly well edited video from Dudley. Thanks!
Thanks Mate. Really enjoying this project!
@@dudleyhewett7211 brilliant. A nice finishing touch would be if you can add some leaf springs to the rear. Very well done 👍
I enjoyed this so much more than the videos where the creator says something like, "so we need to fabricate a piece to connect this part to that part" and then _voilà_ the piece appears and you've no idea how they did it. Thanks for taking the time to explain things to us numpties and give us a peek behind the curtain.
Literally just seen 1 of his landys in person! amazing! This guy is amazing!! Well done Dudley
@@mrmtyres Thanks very much!

I’m impressed. I’m glad I stumbled across your channel. Very well organized very well done and simply a great video without the fluff.
Great job I’m a fan👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
That's so cool. It's a shame it's not an old Land Cruiser 😢.
Only joking, even though I prefer a Cruiser I would not say no to an old SWB landie.
It looks amazing 👍
genius!
Thanks for watching. Glad you enjoyed it. Final episode should be available soon
wheres part 2 need too order parts, great video love it
Thanks very much! Part 2 should be ready in January. I’ve been distracted with a motorcycle restoration which will be my next video.
Thanks for watching 👍🏻
Glad you enjoyed it. Episode 2 is finally ready! Should be uploaded later today.
Thanks for watching 👍🏻

Dual electric motors would have made it all wheel drive! Much cooler! But look awesome nonetheless!😎👍
I would love to make it all wheel drive! It’s not too difficult to make the front axle drive but much more complicated to make it steer as well. If I find a way you will certainly know about it.
Thanks for watching 👍🏻
this is amazing man! you deserve wayy more subscribers!
❤
DUDLEY IS THE BEST!!!!!!!!❤
What type and size tyres did you put on the car mabe a link
Hi Dudley….well interesting..will be following you..one question Dudley….the wiring you have cut off……when time come to put back together is it just a case to unwind the wiring loom and disregard the parts not required? Dave…
Hi. Sorry I didn’t reply sooner.
I plan to keep the wiring loom as complete and unmodified as possible. The scooter had indicators, hazard lights, headlights and a horn. All of which will be present on the finished car. Some wires will need to be shortened or lengthened but otherwise the loom will stay as it is.
Thanks for watching 👍🏻
Hi great job. Where did you get the tyres
Hello. Great vid. I can only find part one - are there any more? Cheers
Hi, glad you enjoyed it.
I’ve been distracted with another project which is nearly done, then I’ll be working on part two. Should be ready in about two months.
Thanks for watching 👍🏻
Episode two should be available later today 👍🏻
I've built something pretty much like this based on a free rider mobility scooter too, with a mdf body, could send you images of mine
Great👍🏻 I’d love to see it. My email is dudleyhewett@gmail.com.
Thanks for watching
Sent some images to you
@@leeharriman1336 👍🏻cheers
Any progress ?
Hi, sorry for the late reply. Episode 2 should be available later today. Hope you enjoy it 👍🏻
@@dudleyhewett7211 hi Dudley , just starting to make a toylander landrover and want to see if i can use a mobility scooter fo the chasis and electrics rather than using thier parts as they work out really expensive, do you have the width and lengh dimensions you used,
Also do you have part 3 when you completed the landrover . i can see parts 1 and 2 and then where you made the trailer but not the episode in between .
Cheers
