It's always good to see Rene doing his thing. Fantastic player with great beard/rhythm coordination and now hat/bass colour coordination. A true artist! ;-)
If you like green basses check out the Fender Adam Clayton Signature Jazz Bass! Also I really dig the dark green five string version of the Charvel even more
Nice, really bright colour... lol.. Good lookin bass, luv the reverse P pick-up and the roasted maple neck... A great Rock bass but could be used for any genre... Nice sounding D'Marzio's... i really like this.. well demo'd.. 👍
i have this bass, if you want an active P/with a J as well, bass, this is the ONE for you!!! ITS awesome!!!! great EQ, Great bridge! The neck adjustment is super easy as well!! i love all the qualifications this bass has!! 33 years and i havent found much better!! i paid 900 bucks! there you have it!
@@Vossst Just found your comment... I'm exactly between those two basses! I need a 5er. The yamaha seems to offer a lot. Great reviews. Probably the best bang for the bucks. But I've found the Charvel a few days ago. And love the design, the simplicity, and the red color! I'm just not sure about thos issues I saw these basses usually have. (noise, faulty preamp) If I buy an instrument at the 1000 eur range I don't really want to repair, change things on it... :D I expect it to work. The best thing would be to try them side by side, but I probably wont be able to that since they aren't really common in shops around here. Let me know what are your thougts!
@@jabberwock099most amazing feeling neck on it ever. The pre amp though is so super hot of a signal It has to be turned all the way down. I'd rather just the P pickup but if this p/J set was passive or had a better preamp it would sound far better. The E and A strings are strong everywhere. But the other 2 strings are sort of a weaker signal, especially up higher on the neck. Bass came with a slight ground buzz too. Seems the cavity might not be totally right though it does have the silver tape on the cover. The paint is incredible. Overall a killer bass. Definitely visually. I can't see me tearing out these pickups so at some point ill need a different preamp in it or something done with the electronics. I also bought a nice lightweight Charvel zip up hard case for it thats great off of ebay.
@@robbiehanson4901 thanks a lot for your detailed message! Bummer about the electronics but I think that can get fixed. Happy to hear that you are enjoying the bass, it's definitely on my wish list.

His playing was totally groovin'!
Excellent review! I have the JJ 5 strings version, in red, and I am very happy about it. The 5th string sounds good.
That bass line in the beginning was GROOVING!!!!! 🤘🤘🤘🤘
René is killing it as usual! Schöne Weihnachten Euch und einfach immer so weiter machen ;-)
That young man on the bass AIN'T NOTHING BUT THE TRUTH!!! THE REAL DEAL!!!
I love everything about this bass! That’s my favorite color ever ❤
I played this thing at a guitar center and sheesh it sounds super good for the price.
Gorgeous bass but where are the pickup variations samples?,active passive samples? Bass ,mids, treble controls samples?
we were hoping you'd make them
The best pickup config for tuning BEAD 💪💪💪
I'd argue its the best pickup combination for everything ☝️☝️
Good to have Rene back, he kicks ass
Charvel makes GREAT STUFF!
What a greeeeeeeen!!! Great colour.

Wish you also featured the JJ model!
This Bass is very similar to the Kramer Focus 7000 bass which I loved. Except the Kramer had 2 jazz pickups stacked along with the P

I always wanted to try that bass.
Wow love the tone !

I don't suppose you would be able to say how this compares with a Yamaha BB735a?

Fantastic! 👍🏻 Me want one…
What did the back look like? Does it have a belly carved area or upper fret access?
Completely fall in love 😍
They didn't take care of the shielding issue, did they?
Beautiful color
the clip at 2.20 is gorgeous
Superb playing! Seen varying reviews on this bass. Not sure on the 38mm neck for me?
Great review.

Whick dark glass model was used in distortion demo??
I want green next time! Check out Metalin basses made from 1 solid billet of aluminum!!
These basses sound and feel great. But they are frequently plauged with QC issues.
Jaguar style pickups........ nice green !
" lime green metallic kind of green, green...."😁👍🏼
The only bass which comes close to the green is the "Falco-Line bass" from the 80's by Hohner. The gold signature body has not reached yet.
that intro demo tho 🤯🔥
idk, the dean custom zone 2 is pretty darn green
Why just ze taàlkink and no sound samples of each pickup & combined, in active and passive modes ?
Ground (noise) issues??
They had… have they fixed that meanwhile?
1:28 Starting to talk about the neck, "the main selling point of this bass" at the same time hiding it off frame the whole time. Thanks dude.
ur welcome
I WANNA PLAY THAT GREEN BASS RENE
Hello ..This is a very nice and good guitar ..Where can I buy it and how? Can you help me? .. Please..
There are a few links to dealers in the video description
Can we know your signal chain?
No JJ-5 string review?! :( :(
The Green bass🤣

Why did that intro make me grab my wallet?....

It’s too bad you can’t play the intro to Seeman. That bass seems like it would fit the tone quite well.

Nice bass. Still hard to watch and listen to the roundheaded Sherman.
The P pickup reversed
For the price, it should have come with SS frets
