Make sure the follower is going up far enough to push the slide lock into place. I bought two new magazines for mine. There was a visible difference between the height of the followers. One locked the slide. The other didn't. I took it apart and slightly opened the top of the magazine so the follower could come as far as the good one. Problem solved.
Do you recommend any particular mag that does not require any changes (mine is 9mm only)? It just comes with a single one and I am having random lock up open while shooting so I need more mags to see if it is the mag or some other problem. When I am shooting sometimes I notice it locks back with rounds in the mag, the round has move forward a little, I remove the mag, push back the round, try to pull back on the slide but it is locked up, I have to push on the slide release and pull back on the slide to unlock it. This happens randomly. I am a left hand shooter so I know I am not accidentally pushing on the slide lock lever.
I have the same Tac Ultra FS HC Combo and it's a great firearm for the price. It looks like you may need to adjust your elevation and maybe the windage on the rear sight. Also, you really should try shooting some of the TCM ammo through this gun. It is awesome! Sounds like a .50 cal but recoils like a .22.
That is a magazine issue. And
It might need to adjust your sights since the built-in sight is adjustable windage and the elevation
Just an observation but if your shooting high at 10 to 15 feet, what do you think would happen at 60+ yards.

The gun has a lifetime waranty, send it back to RIA and they will fix it for you.
