I have mine on as well, full exhaust, and videos cannot record properly the sound that these babies are doing! Worth having it but make sure to be careful not to twist when cops are nearby ;)
I went to dealership the other day and a used 650 had this exhaust on it and oh my gosh this video doesn't capture the sound it has

ALL EXHAUST SOUND TEST VIDEOS TAKE NOTE: this video is the gold standard of quality sound test post. dont need fancy cameras/audio. video length perfect. Already have the bike warmed up. A couple deep good revs of each, a very light redline tap, and some time to hear deceleration sounds. great work.
Travis thanks so much for the compliment. That is exactly how we feel as well. We do this with just an I phone and no fancy recording devices.

Got this for my 2016 650 abs, took the db killer out at the tail. Love the sound humming down the freeway. If you're worried about a getting a fix it ticket for sound, eh I'll take a ticket over not being heard

Is it too loud for long rides ? For 4-6hrs rides? I am in delima to change or not
No. But we always recommend a good ear plug for long rides.
How loud is it compared to stock, with baffle and without? Can't tell from the video
We use J2825 standards
Stock 2000 rpm 83.7 dB - with Yoshimura Alpha 99.1 dB
Stock 5000 rpm 92.6 dB - with Yoshimura Alpha 103.1 dB

I own a 2020 ninja 650 and I was told when putting on the full exhaust system that the bike runs a little lean.

Haha the shit runs lean even with stock exhaust. I think a lot of after market exhaust companies say stuff like that because they figure most customers won’t know the difference anyway, or really even care even if they do. They’ll think the spits and pops on downshift are kooooool
Its does run lean you need add fuel.controller like rapid bike who make.bike rich in gas or remap ecu plus you need add air filter like k&n and if equipped with secondary air supply system for the catalytic converter you need block off valve plate or when decellerate the bike start pop up like crazy

I have the full yoshi exhaust on mine and it's 10/10, looks wise it's the best. Only gripe it makes the bike sound more harleyish /dirt bike than a sport bike

Does it have to be tuned? I just got mine a month ago it’s a 23 year model and I don’t want to void the warranty but I still want a loud clean exhaust I really don’t like the stock one

at 5000 rpm using j2825 standards stock is 92.6dB our system is 103.1dB
@@YoshimuraUSA thank you :) from New Zealand...our testing limit used to be 100dB @ 1meter but I believe recently updated to 97dB @ 1meter. So I think should be good with a db killer during testing time 👌

No it does not need to be remaped.
Does this require a retune? I've read on forums that this is one of the few, if not the only bike "approved" by Kawasaki and wouldn't need a Power Commander or tune to run well

I have a 2020 ninja 650. I haven't been able to find the slip on i want anywhere. I prefer akropovich. Any ideas where to go ?
dont know if youre still looking, but it turns out there are no slip ons for this bike, full kits only. im guessing its because of where kawasaki placed the muffler
@@AudyT97 thank you. Had this bike a year now and still haven't put an exhaust on lol. Bike mechanics always told me I got the bike at the wrong time. Cus covid hit there wasn't really a production on slip ons. I'll get the full kit eventually.

If I wanted to install it myself, is it difficult to install a full system vs a slip on? I’ve only ever swapped sloping out on my r3 but I’m going to get a 2018 used ninja 650 soon, and the exhaust on it is stock.
Because the stock unit is one piece, we only make a full Race Series system. We can't speak to ease of installing it because we have no idea of you ability. We would recommend having a professional technician install it.

why is there a ticking sound? on my bike it gets louder 20 mins after running and at more than 3k rpm?
It's the engine nose on this model. You might want to bring yours to the dealer for inspection.

I was hoping I could get some help, I own a 2019 Kawasaki Ninja 650 abs and I would very much love to purchase the Alpha, just the slip on. I keep seeing on different forums and sites both saying the slip will fit and won't fit on my bike. Is there a way to get a concrete answer before I purchase the item? Or do I absolutely need a full system to make it fit?

The shape and design of this bike is so good and sporty. Way better looking than Cbr650r in my opinion. But I still don't get why they choose to go for parallel twin. If it got Inline 4 or atleast inline 3,it would be perfect for me.
Yeah. Sound is really disappointing
For fuel efficiency and weight saving .. also it is suited for practical riders .I myself have many different bikes I also own a cbr1000rr but this ninja 650 is my favorite bike of mine .. very fuel efficient and lightweight plus its comfortable .
