I love the Ondes Martenot. It always makes me laugh. I worked with Elmer Bernstein on a couple of films just before he died and he was very keen on it.
Thank you for introducing that rare not-only-keys instrument - and in addition your metallic gong speaker setup including the Sono- resp. Bozavox throat device! The Martenot and its derivates (e.g. Ondomo, Therevox) are the only instruments I know which put a ring on someone's finger. A relationship close to marriage seems to be possible - somewhat like a french connection regarding the case you mentioned ;-)! The strong limitation further makes it a even rarer gem in your Vintage Keys Studio collection; great! All the best :-)!
Totally awesome! I would love to hear this through a fixed filter bank since it’s an electronic way of simulating instrument body resonances rather than a physical one like the original Ondes used with the metallic resonator and palm speaker. Behringer has recreated most of the Moog modular system including the 914 fixed filter bank. I got mine for less than $100. Maybe you could give it a try. If you ever end up in Dallas, Texas, I’d be glad meet up and let you try it along with other fun things modular.
Intersting video for a realy interesting instrument. Thank you Un tiroir (to be pronunced "tee-row-war", something like that) is the French word for a drawer, so, some logic inside. 😁
I lost touch with modern music makers years ago… I have worked with several pretty well-known people before, and not realised who they were until years later!
I love the Ondes Martenot so much. Wish i had the 12 grand plus shipping, which i DON'T. Still love it though and the various speakers are pure genius. Well, the whole instrument is of course.
Cheers Jay! I never knew he was called Alan Rothwell, but now I remember him being in Coronation Street. Still alive I think. That program unnerved me and made me who I am today.
Lovely to see you and the Ondomo getting on well! ♥️
She is gorgeous!

One of the best instrument demonstrations I have ever seen. Came for the Ondes, stayed for the vibes.
21:56 that attitude as humble James 🤣🤣🤣
Full of genius! 😁👍
Very interesting. I'm envious. Good to see and hear these unusual instruments. Keep up the good work.
Thank you very much!

Fantastic video, Elmer Bernstein used this wonderfully. I love the spooky and sad sound.
this channel deserves more subscribers and views
Wonderful demonstration. Love that new intro as well.
Glad you like it!
Sounds great through a human mouth, super unique!
Aaah. The tones of the Cristal Baschet.
Awesome! I am always so happy to see an Ondomo pop up anywhere online. As the owner of no.100 out of 100, mine says hello to yours. :)
Our number 64 blows it a lovely kiss xxx

Cheers! Yes it’s a bonus track on this release: stevechristieswrong.bandcamp.com/album/steve-christies-wrong?label=2990009735
What an Amazing little creature... Some proper Cello .. ick.. sounds .... What's Alan Rothwell up to nowadays??

Great to see this in action! Fingers crossed mine gets delivered this year 🤞

Is that last version of Ondomo with the 3D custom printed keyboard?
Does the wiggle tremolo work off of a photo-resister/led combo?
To be honest I don't know (yet) - either that, or a wiggling capacitive plate like in the Ondioline.
@@VintageKeysStudio I believe the Ondomo uses a magnetic sensor for the keyboard vibrato! 🙂
Are these available to record at your studio? it wasn't included on your website
Yes, it is available to record. We are due an inventory update on our website. Do get in touch if we can assist with anything.
악기보고 신기한건 옹드 마르트노 밖에 없었는데 또 생겼네..
are you by any chance from Swindon? That accent!
No, oim from ‘Ampshire!
Great presentation. Are you familiar with “Dr. Synthesizer” vintage RUclipsr?
Thank you! I just found him on RUclips - brilliant!
So until I saw this I thought it was theremin or bowed saws that were used for Ghostbusters but this is the sound that I couldn't identify.
Fun Fact: I used to work with Johnny Greenwoods sister, Susan.
Actually I came here to listen to you talking but the music is rather sweet. A bit spooky but enjoyably so.
Come on, play National Anthem! I am sure Radiohead won't make a claim...
Theravox
Sorry Therevox
