The instrument is actually called Ondes Musicales, those built by Martenot are Ondes Martenot, by Dierstein are Ondes Dierstein and so on. But the most common name used is Ondes Martenot. An ondist will never say "I play Ondes Dierstein", but "I play Ondes Martenot and mine are made by Dierstein"
