MattBrandCars not yet! Very soon. AWD Cruiser Hybrid due for pickup 7th August. Pretty excited. I’ll be doing 160ks a day for work commute. Hoping that driver’s seat is a nice place to be!
Best review I've seen! I managed to get my 2020 Rav4 Edge for $49,850, with rubber floor mats, bonnet protector, headlamp covers, wind shields and a full tank of fuel. Loved everything about it, when I test drove it. Now on order and just waiting for it to arrive.
The tray/floor in the "slippery boot" is reversible. You have the plastic side up, on the other side is carpet. But yes, Toyota make a rubber all-weather cargo mat which is a good accessory to purchase.
Yeah as said in the video, I don't think the "skid" plates are at all functional so thanks for clarifying that! Surprised to hear the hand stitching! Good to know 😊
I like edge more, waiting for my to arrive. I think that Edge is less complicated than a hybrid - better longevity. IMHO, Hybrid/electric developing quickly, therefore might become outdated quickly.
Like the orange energy and have been waiting for a review of the Edge because of the engine / transmission. I'm not a fan of CVT and considering this is the only other transmission type, albeit only available in one trim. I would also prefer the seating material they have chosen to cheaper sub standard leather they put in cheaper cars. Odd about the memory seats. I don't like the design of the screen, they could have rounded it or made it a better layout.
Great question! The 2WD hybrid is a $3k AUD saving over the "AWD" hybrid. The AWD hybrid is really an electric motor that provides a few seconds of power when it notices slipping. For most people, the FWD will be a better option because suburban driving doesn't require an AWD and the savings are great. For those who might live in areas prone to slippery conditions, sure go for the AWD. But it's a close call between the better equipped (and driving) RAV4 Edge then and the AWD, with only ~2.5k between them in cost. Honestly, at this point all Rav4's are great - so whichever you choose is a pretty safe bet 😊
Such a great body design. Little things that would drive me crazy is all the plastic trim on the outside would start whitewashing in the sun. Plus the horsepower is lacking :-(
It's not a real AWD system in the traditional sense! It's a small electric motor that gives you boost when it senses slipping, for most people it's totally unnecessary 🙂
My big question is: why are you driving on the wrong side of the road? 😉 I have the 2019 Adventure (which I guess is the Edge where you are) and I’ve loved driving it around.
Good review. You’ll get to know North rd & Nepean Hwy that well, that you’ll be driving with your eyes closed. Lol. I’d rather my wife’s Hyundai Tucson Highlander Diesel. Unfortunately we are not sheep that think that Toyota’s are good cars. That died long ago! Cheers 😊
Matt, you should do more research before making these videos. The material on the seats in the RAV4 Edge is SofTex, which is far superior to leather. Toyota have chosen this material in their top of the range RAV4 because it’s a premium material. SofTex is vastly more environmentally friendly than conventional leather and has none of the animal cruelty that leather involves. Why would anyone in their right mind want to sit on dead animal skin anyway?

Like.
No. Cruiser Hybrid all the way!
@@kkargans it was a great car to drive, I presume you own one?! 😊

Nice! I really like the Cruiser Hybrid, the power is great 😊
Congrats!

I’ve had the Rav4 Adventure for more than a year now and your review is spot on.
Thanks, I appreciate it! How do you like yours? 😊
In the back you can flip the floor around and it has carpet
Just some nitpicking but the car doesn’t have skip plates and it’s not faux stitching. The dash is hand stitched and that’s a painted plastic bumper.

Fair enough! Congratulations on your purchase Vasyl :)
First time I’ve seen your reviews. Very thorough! Good work.
Thanks for the review, very comprehensive, can't wait to drive my pre-ordered 2020 RAV4 Edge!
Thank you! And congratulations!! Very exciting 🍻

Thanks for the input Michael! Has your opinion changed on the way it drives now? Just curious!
Great review, thanks. The one thing that I think it missed is paddle shifters. They just work better and you keep your hands on the wheel.
Thanks for the feedback! I'll include it next time :)
Love the Edge esp in blue paint( similar to the one in FJ Cruiser)
Yep love the blue for sure!
Your the best on the channel
Does the Edge come with a power adjustable passenger seat?
And does the Edge come in Hybrid?
Fantastic review 👍🏾
Thanks Leon!!
Thanks mate , good review.
Thanks mate 😊
Can you review a Toyota Fotuner? First time visiting your page and have followed!
You were recommending the 2wd Cruiser Hybrid as an alternative to the Edge... any reason you specify 2wd instead of AWD Cruiser Hybrid?

I wouldn’t buy this one instead of I would go for a hybrid fwd according to your review. Thanks Matt.
Thank you!

Horsepower is lacking but in Sport mode with the transmission in Sport mode, it genuinely feels really zippy! 😊
Mate, you can ceramic coat your plastic trim (and paint for that matter) and it protects the plastic from fading. Look up Carpro DLUX or Gyeon TRIM. 😉
Why would you go for the 2wd cruiser and not the awd? Thanks

Hey Matt, can you review the Lexus 2020 NX range please
I need your advice, which one is better cruiser hybrid or edge. I need to buy buy one in coming days
Cruiser is better value and would be my choice, but the edge is very cool
Pls Pls Pls review the Volvo V60 Cross Country....Please
My big question is: why are you driving on the wrong side of the road? 😉
I have the 2019 Adventure (which I guess is the Edge where you are) and I’ve loved driving it around.
Everything is flipped here in Australia! 😂 And yes, it is the equivalent - great car!
What do you love most about yours?
Just the way it feels when I drive it around! Plus I get a ton of compliments on the Lunar Rock (same color as the one you reviewed) paint.
Can't believe no electric seats. Absolutely infuriating
It is a bit!
No, front of cruiser look better.
Beautiful 🥰
Where is the Edge sold? Not in the USA.
I believe it's the equivalent of the Trail in the US 😊
In Australia, it's called the Edge. In the USA it's called the Adventure
I wouldn’t spend 55k for that loud engine noise.
It certainly is quite noisy!
YOU NEED SOME SUBS KING!
not on mate
Wish they made it without the sunroof

I really like the Kia / Hyundai 2.0L diesel in the Tucson and Sportage, but the RAV4 is still great in other areas!
MattBrandCars I’m keen on seeing the new Tucson. 👍🏼
You need to learn what fundamental means I think
You're fundamentally wrong
Off road car? Take it off the grid and review it. You don't review the offroad car on the urban area.
If you think this is an off-road car you need to re-evaluate the way you think

Me.
Where is the animal cruelty coming from, the cows are being used for meat so the leather is a by - product Bloody vegans
The thing I least like is the reviewer here. He is annoyingly awful - and awfully annoying.
