Cool video 2 bad about the rod that's what strikes fear in me up there last season was my first time there I was wading the west end cove at 3 am hooked up into something w mega fight in it .... she ran me damn near spooled me thought my vs250 and penn prevail 10 were gonna explode on me lol what a rush lost the fish she beat me the line snapped... cant wait to get back prepared this time but I wasnt sure it I even had my drag set down tight enough. How tight do u set your drag ??
One third the pound test of your line, your line snapped because of a tight drag, next time loosen the drag put your finger on the spool ,pull up reel down.Reels are not winches, take your time,no rush.Tight lines.
@@wildman8601 Saw a pair of seals pop their heads up there couple of days ago, where they go,you know who follows, take care wading. At times, no matter what you do you'll break off.I remember being cussed out by an old timer for trying to horse in a hot fish. Now that I'm an old timers myself (65 today ) that doesn't happen that often anymore but I can't say never, good luck and again tight lines.
