After testing at least 30 cheap Chinese headsets (some of them were actually really good for the price), the Samsung Gear VR 2017 is an awesome headset. I received my gear with my S8+.but I also had my white gear vr for about a year 1/2 with my S6.meny problem with the s6 with my vr,like over heating bad and Dying battery. but I still enjoyed it ,but when I received my S8+ with the new vr.i was blown away. It's awesome. No more heating problems and the battery last forever..thanks for the video.
Steve Merino could you see any difference in quality compared to your old s6 with a higher pixel density? I am thinking to buy an s8+ but i am afraid it is a downgrade.
Yes,very little difference. But a difference. I like it 100% better, the battery life is really great, and no heating up like the s6. Actually no heating up at all.i can actually play for a for a While .and watch a couple of movies ...

Hey guys buy samsung gear 2015 for almost very cheap in ebay about 40 to 50 bucks former owners of samsung gear vr 2015 updating to new edition of samsung vr there selling there samsung gear vr 2015 for almost 30 to 40 bucks only.. the new edition gear compare to the 2015 is exactly the same thing the only difference is the color but work exactly the same.. if u dont have a phone recomended like samsung note 5 or s7 cause its pricey u dont have a problem u can buy them at half the price in ebay there used or been used for 5 months or a year but they sell them a fraction of the cost cause there secondhand or been used but in good condition
What was the zombie like cowboy shooter that you were playing please? Also, the footage looks unpixelated on all of the games that you showed... is it really that good when using it with a S8 or Note 8?? I ask because my Galaxy S7 quality was rubbish imo, very pixelated and lacking detail

The form factor still needs to be improved a lot more. That thing is huge! 20 years from now, it'll be the shape of a normal pair of swimming goggles. Then we'll talk about getting one.
Samsung Gear VR for the Galaxy S9 and note line next gen would be perfect if the controller had a companion controller with the toggle stick and a Halo of lights around each controller and the head case was able to read the controllers better than Windows new VR headset that is supposed to be a cheap little thing going down on price I also like that you can change the controller buttons be for Rapid Fire and stuff like that your fingers don't get tired

the s7 might have Qhd but it's pentile AMOLED... so it's not true visually speaking 2k
