The best in the world grew up listening to this band and today my children also listen to it ...
I’ve never heard this Isolation version… it’s incredible!
Isolation may arguably be the song in which Ian most laid his soul bare, but this is the best version of it.
Brotherhood is one of the most underrated LPs of all time.

SO wild to hear the back catalog careening around wildly in the Peel context... a wild mix of the old being updated, the proven being milked and the new being struggled with... super interesting
what a FANTASTIC TRACK listing, 1-4 esp, and of New order - 2-4 - among my top favs all 3 are, and true faith will always be my fav song all time.
oh how could you not include Atmosphere? that's an absolute CLASSIC!

True Faith 🙋🙋♂✨💯 excellent version for this WONDERFUL song!
Of course, love the originals and Ian is so iconic with his voice and intonations, but this Peel Session which I was not aware of, have cool versions of Isolation and True Faith, and really like this version of Atmosphere. The music in Atmosphere is taken seriously and the spirit is there, rightfully. Comforting for all it's worth.

Andy I m sure there is the complete John Peel Sessions not sure if it's vinyl cd or download but I think it's outside there somewhere
I have a bootleg CD of this. Back when bootleg CD's were easy to make and plentiful.

True Faith here, is when remixes became live property. And why not?
I don't think Hooky even mentions this session in his N/O book.
I checked, it is listed in it as an album "new order plays radio 1", but nothing about the 1998 recording or the more upbeat versions
