What a job and finished up perfection It’s looks awesome. Excellent job. Wheels were amazing. This is one of my favourites Excellent quality on film and sound. Customer must have been over the moon
Nice job and you explained the steps well. I'm glad you sped up some of the footage, we've seen most of it before! People often talk about marring caused by claying, would it be possible to show this please?
I'm a bit late to the party this time mate. That's how it's done!!!! What a transformation. Such a lovely colour of car brought back to life with the correction and ceramic! Amazing buddy 👍👍
Many thanks indeed for the positive feedback. It was a pleasure detailing this car and the results were very rewarding both to myself and the car owner. Cheers,
Simon, many thanks. Its my favourite so far as well. I enjoyed chosing the music and linking it to the video changes. Next video let's do some disco lol. Cheers.
Nice video, will be interested in the next video in particular the cleaning up of the dogs hair. I am a big fan of Bilt Hamber products, snow foam, auto wash and in particular their Clay Bars that do not need and expensive lube. Bilt Hamber instructions suggested sprayed water is what you should used. Also maybe the Medium or Regular Clay Bar may have been more appropriate for this car as it was heavily contaminated..
Hiya and thanks for watching the video. You are totally correct regarding your observation in that BH clay bars are recommended to be used with water. Although I used this technique before, I am used to the slicker glide using dedicated clay bar lubes. Yes this is a personal preference and of course I would always recommend following the manufacturers guidance. On this video I was also trying to evaluate the Immolube, thus killing 2 birds and all that. As said in the video, I was restricted as I only had soft available. Using a medium clay bar, as you mention, would have been more appropriate and would have saved time for sure. The results were good and the paint clean but your observations are correct so I appreciate the constructive engagement, its what TCB is all about. I think to develop my evaluation of the clay bar explicitly, I will acquire a medium and go back to the water method. I also think it is a good opportunity to maybe do a video potentially showing that water is the recommended, and indeed most effective, media when using BH clay bars. Top comments from yourself and a good discussion promoting further product evaluation. Cheers Robert.
What a fantastic job and totally transformed the cars appearance. The ceramic coating appears to be easier than some I know on the market. I'm curious to know how it compares to Gyeon Can Coat.
Hiya Simon and thanks as always. I haven't used Can Coat but do confess to have the product on the shelf. I think a comparison may be the way forward to help answer your question and give me the opportunity to use the Gyeon. I will make it happen. Cheers.
Absolutely fantastic job Andy and a great video. I've got its cousin, Skoda Superb estate with a colour close to Steve Marmy's Volvo. I'm going to take your excellent methodology and your timings for each stage away and tools to do the same to mine this spring. It's given me more confidence and understanding to undertake such a big job and Steve has given me some great advice too, I need all the help I can get 🤣🤣. Looking forward to the wheels off video as I've got GT Hades to put on and will be looking forward to how you did them/time allocation etc etc. Keep up the great work 👏👏👍👍
Thanks Paul. I enjoyed doing this car and the results I am very pleased with. Should have the wheels video finished soon. Good luck with your chariot. Cheers.
Great vid, what a difference for the start to the end ,car looked great, good to see the sealey seat doing its job. Interesting to see the wheel vid with alienmagic products.💯👍
Great work, the A4 looked brilliant. Question, do you have any footage re the exhaust tips clean or can you advise re the process? I ask because mine are slightly yellowing, so I need to buy a product but unsure which. Cheers, all the best.
Hiya Lee. I only have the photos shown on the video unfortunately, however, I will do a quick video showing the product in action and the full process for you. Thanks for watching as always. I will try and get the video completed over the weekend buddy.
Whoa - that car looks totally amazing! Quick question - do you think it would be advisable to put any toppers on the ceramic coating or just leave it as it is?
Good question. Initially just leave the coating to full cure and vent of all the carriers. 1 week is the norm. I am always sceptical about using toppers as you apply a ceramic coating for a reason, that being to benefit from the properties of the coating. Some QDs will clog the coating and reduce such properties so you could end up reducing the hydrophobicity etc. It does come down to choice but personally I apply a coating and that is all I will use as the LSP. I know people that do apply products for gloss enhancement. Others apply waxes and sealants but I would again argue that these products will not bond to the coating thus the longevity of using such products is heavily reduced. If you want to use anything, a dedicated QD to remove dust or as a drying aid may be a consideration. Cheers.
Great job. What a transformation.
Your a very kind man David. Thanks
