The One and DONE! This pedal does absolutely everything. From Wong to Mayer to MUCH heavier. Love this thing and I love this company. It is run by some of the coolest people in the industry, and the make some of the best pedals on the market today in my opinion!

Thanks so much for the great video and all the support Mr. Blues! - Brad Jackson
The man himself! Thank you!
Thanks for the love brosef!
Once again,,,great video and some great playing! This pedal seems to have plenty of options but not overly complex. That’s a win in my book! Keep killing it man!!
Fun to watch, pleasure to listen. My kind of videos. Thanks, Buddy, keep them coming!
Thank you! glad you liked it
Beautiful, thanks for all you do.
Comments like these are the reason I'm still doing it so thank YOU
Nice overdrive and very versatile. Great video, Great playing.
Really appreciate your channel. You’re a cool dude and you present everything in a low key entertaining manner. Keep it up!
Thanks so much for watching!! I'm not everyone's cup of tea so I appreciate it!
Buddy, I dig your reviews! Great explanation and demonstration on the pedals! Greetings from Hollywood California.
Thanks so much for watching!!
If there's something that's absolutely genius about the modular design of the Jackson audio stuff is the fact that if something were to go wrong with the circuit, all you probably have to do is swap in a new module, and just like that she's ready to fire up again. Very useful for musicians who still like to use mostly analog gear live.
Sounds killer and great playing!
Thanks Dave!
Awesome playing in this one! Looks like this pedal does everything i would need it to do.. crazy. I was wondering about how the EQ could be brought in and out and you covered that beautifully in a playing scenario. Thanks for that. I'm after a clean boost that I can EQ if ever it feels too fat and this looks like it could do that.
Jackson Audio has the feel of a big pedal company, but in truth they still belong here on SBT. Great demo as always.
Thanks for watching Seth!
waiting on a backordered JB-2 angry driver, watching this demo I think it's been replaced before it even got here 👌
Great TONE BUDDY BLUES!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Thank you!!
Love the playing, the pedal ain't half bad neither!
Jackson team sprinkled some sweetness and fatness into Optmist eq. Great demo Buddy! Your style is chunkier than Cory’s more spanky funkiness. All of Jackson offerings are stellar for guitarists of all styles
Thanks Ed! They really are, they make something for everyone
Nice work Buddy mmmmmK.
Thanks so much for watching! Mmmmmmmk? Mmmmmmmk.
Sounds great. As most OD pedals do
I’ve got an HSS strat myself, and was wondering how this unit would sound with the pickups! Thanks for this review!
Glad I could help!
I can't get with Midi either! That and 7+ strings, lol. Good demo/review as always.
Finally! A pedal for people who want John Mayer tones!
Oh great you're on here too
"Alexa how do I block someone on youtube"
Hey Buddy, great stuff as always. Have always enjoyed your videos - and your album on Spotify! I was wondering, could you or have you made a video about pedal order? I have a compressor and 3 overdrives, and I'm having trouble ordering them. Each combination offers different things that I like but it's been tough to check ALL of the boxes. Is there a formula to the ordering, especially with a lot of overdrives? Thanks!
Thank you! What I like which happens to be the """general rule""" is compressor first, then the highest gain-y pedal right after and then downwards in gain. Compressor always first the from high to low gain. That's what I like but screw the rules and mess around with it see what you like
@@BuddyBlues Thanks Buddy! If I could ask a follow-up, do you use the last overdrive in the chain as always-on, to avoid any type of volume jump or something? Thank you sir for fueling my GAS! haha
I dont, my sound 80% of a gig is usually clean. On one of my boards the only always on pedals are compressor and an EP boost that is second in the chain after compressor
You should make a video teaching that slap technique on guitar!
Thank you! I might.. I tried it once on Instagram and realized it was really difficult to teach it to someone
I aspire to achieve your groove... ☮💗
Thank you! What worked for me was listening to what other instruments were doing. For example getting inspired by a really good bass player. One can learn so much from a proper bass player. And to be honest with you sometimes I wish I was a bass player
At 13:29 is that a Gino Matteo spank? Also the amp sounds fantastic, would you mind telling us what it is?
I'm starting to notice how all the pedals pretty much sound the same when you play them.
But......how would you stack this one up against the golden boy???? buying a new OD ASAP and NEED HELP ...I am a new guitar player (bassist for 30 yrs )....so ...want to do hot rodded blues and more with it ...looking at several DUAL od....but PRICE.....WOW ...anyway.....guitar community HELP!!!!
At 14:40 sounds like Seinfeld!! Lol Love it!!
Tabs please thx
For what?
Seems to be very noisy at low gain.... 😟
… for sure… I’m not a midi man..
I've been waiting for someone other than Cory wong to demo it. I love cory wrong wong but I didn't like his demo of the pedal.
"Fairly new to all of this"- Well I'm not- I've been playing for over 30 years and I don't have even a fraction of the gear you have hanging up behind you. This RUclips shit is something else man- you guys typically have about 3-4 times as much gear as a professional musician. And I think there's a very basic reason for that- you make more money doing RUclips. What a weird world this has become. A world where you make more money to explain a thing than to actually do it.
Less talk, more play.
Less you on this channel, go somewhere else. Tf outa here
I bought a golden boy last year. Immediately returned it. Sounded like a toy sucked all natural warmth from tone. Digital overdrives suck. Keep those electrons in the line.
Golden boy isn't a digital overdrive. You can control the switches and other functionalities digitally but the signal path is analog. It's bright, but that's the nature of the circuit.
