If Chicago is Smart they will keep it a 4-5 year plan… making a mistake and getting out of the rebuild to early like Toronto is not a way to have success… the leafs Barley drafted lots of players they got Matthews and Marner and stopped the rebuild right away and they didn’t have lots of assets to trade to make the team better… like if you look at Montreal if they wanted to push for the playoffs they could because they have ssooooo much draft capital and prospects to move to make the team better but they aren’t doing that they are taking there time and that’s how you have success… patience is the key… so if the Blackhawks are smart they should keep it a 4-5 year plan

@@mattck92 of course that can happen if you Dog Shit management that can’t draft players properly but based off of the 2023 draft it seems the Blackhawks know how to draft properly…. Even if they fuck up drafting players over a 4-5 year timeline, They will have lots of prospects and draft capital to make the team better with trades and free agent signings and if that doesn’t work then the management is COMPLETE! Dog shit… If Toronto waited 3-4 more years to get out of their rebuild, I believe they would have won a Stanley cup by now… Montreal, Ottawa, Detroit, Buffalo etc, all of them are patient and you can see all the prospects all these teams have… all those teams have really really bright futures same with Chicago. All of those teams have lots of capital to offer to other teams to make them better when the time comes and some prospects will underachieve or overachieve but it’s still capital to make the teams better in many ways…

They would’ve been absolute morons not to take Bedard. You don’t pass up on the next great talent. He’s a generational player. If the Hawks have shown anything it’s their resilience and ability to make deep playoff runs. He has less pressure on him than McDavid does. Canada hasn’t won a cup since 93, the year I was born. That’s gotta be a lot of pressure to be on the great ones old team expected to win multiple cups. Do you think Edmonton regrets picking him instead of getting a bunch of first round picks? They had 4 1st overalls in 6 years… they needed to take the sure thing. Not pass it up for a bunch of prospects that are nowhere near as skilled as McDavid. I wouldn’t trade Bedard for 10 first round picks. Maybe McDavid in 2 firsts but we all know that’s not happening
