Lafrenière definitely had a lot of hype but nothing like Bedard. I haven’t seen expectations like this since McDavid or Crosby. He just has that “it” factor. He’s going to be amazing. He also seems like a great dude. Can’t wait to get my #98 jersey! Saving up for an autographed one already!
@@joey2614you sure about that? Let me “enlighten” you Joseph. They have the #1 ranked prospect pool in the league. That doesn’t sound like “going nowhere” to me. Kinda seems like you’re just another salty Vancouver fan. Hey at least we know how to take an L without burning down our city.. didn’t you guys do that twice..? 🧐
Bedard is already a generational talent. You don't give that meal ticket away and gamble that you'll get a better return on prospects and picks. He's not just a #1 pick. Dudes talent at 17 is generational. The Hawks have about a 3-5 year window before he even hits prime to build around him. No way you trade that.

Yeah, but then you have the coaching staff trying to molest you. Free agents??? Takes a special kind of guy to sign with a team where there’s someone trying to molest them.
Since when is Chicago a destination place unless you wanna get robbed, killed or stabbed….and a rich history …yes of sexual abusing their players and coving it up 😂 destination #1 on my list for sure. But he seems like the marner/Kane type pick not a mcdavid/Crosby.
As a professional athlete ya. Chicago is a destination. Especially the nhl. Gave out the highest nhl contract to TWO players at the same time. They pay.
Don’t mention Marner in the same sentence as Kane. Even if he’s a Kane, we’ll take that. 31 other teams would too. There hasn’t been a Kane in the draft in 16 years
@@domcagney2352 nope maybe not but there’s been better too. I’m just saying size wise and player wise he’s not gonna be able to do it alone. He’s gonna need another ultra superstar to make any difference in Chicago
They don’t even deserve a pick after they hide a sexual assault on a young kid like they did. Coyotes did way less and lost there’s picks, come on give me a break
The Hawks would be wise to at LEAST listen to offers for this pick. They have a bunch of other picks plus picking Bedard gives the Hawk brass 5 years to watch him score points and not get a Cup. Ask McDavid how THAT feels.
They would’ve been absolute morons not to take Bedard. You don’t pass up on the next great talent. He’s a generational player. If the Hawks have shown anything it’s their resilience and ability to make deep playoff runs. He has less pressure on him than McDavid does. Canada hasn’t won a cup since 93, the year I was born. That’s gotta be a lot of pressure to be on the great ones old team expected to win multiple cups. Do you think Edmonton regrets picking him instead of getting a bunch of first round picks? They had 4 1st overalls in 6 years… they needed to take the sure thing. Not pass it up for a bunch of prospects that are nowhere near as skilled as McDavid. I wouldn’t trade Bedard for 10 first round picks. Maybe McDavid in 2 firsts but we all know that’s not happening
The Blackhawks have no plan, Davidson has only proved that he can trade away talent, and now he has a chance for a generational talent, don’t be surprised if he trades the no.1 pick….
They jumped up from the 28-32 range in terms of prospects up to number 5 since he took over only a year ago. That’s before they get Bedard and they’re stocked with picks for the next few seasons AND have 41 million in cap space. Give your head a shake.
