What good news! Always happy to hear good news!
Thanks but can you do another video about how to make it stop
I have cavities but no sensitivity😂
Extremely common. Most cavities have no pain or sensitivity for a very long time.
I always ask myself, why TF there's nerve inside teeth?
Can I use antibiotics if I feel throbbing pain under a 4-yr crown? I can't go to the dentist and pay thousands as a students :(
What have you done for that ?
Why does tooth pain at one particular spot when biting something hard ?
That’s my problem right now 😢
@@millyv8787 the place where it pained , a part of tooth broke and so got it filled ,so in my case it was weakened part of the tooth... hope its of help to u to decided
If it persists more than a few weeks, it’s probably a crack in the tooth. Sometimes it will stay like that for years and not get worse. But if it getting worse or more persistent it means the crack is deeper, and usually you need a crown to prevent the crack from getting deeper

@@abishek5494same problem bro after filling my tooth after cracking like 3-5months its starting to feel sensitive when im biting and when i wake up in the morning huhu
I think I’m dealing with this now my mauler or wisdom tooth in the back hurts when I eat or drink and the pain intensifies so bad it gives me a Temple headache and jaw pain
I have the same problem the right side of my jaw hurts so bad and I got multiple fillings in 1 day a few weeks ago
I’m dealing with it now. Same thing. I just moved to Washington so it’s been tough trying to find a dentist and I finally did. Have an appointment Thursday for X Rays. No I don’t want a root canal or anything. I WANT IT OUT
thank you so much, really apreciate this video
Now I know I have a cavity that's been in years my mom is just lazy to take me to the dentist 😞
🙏🏿
Mine has receded and I have black triangles between some of my teeth too from clenching my teeth through out the day(which I don't notice most of the time) and in my sleep from severe anxiety. I'm waiting for a retainer to help with this.
Bro ty 4 the help
You're welcome
I just recently got a cavity filled, and it had hurt a lot before hand, but after they sawed my teeth down to fill them, my molar has hurt probably 4x as bad. Is it possible that they could have exposed my dentin layer on accident?
Almost all cavities will be in the dentin layer. If pain persists you should go back to your dentist
@@austinartisticdental2400k thanks I’ll try
It started for me when i went to the dentist to remove a cavity. Most doctors are just monsters. It's the plain truth
That's not very helpful or nice. If you didn't treat your cavity,it would have gotten worse and caused pain eventually. It is true when you drill on a tooth it is common for a it to hurt at first when it didn't hurt before. That's because most cavities don't hurt until they are very large. Your body doesn't like it when you drill on a tooth. It beats the tooth up. Doesn't feel good to have something drill on your body. So it hurts afterwards. But unless your cavity was very large the pain usually goes away in a relatively short time. There are lots of monsters in this world, but perhaps you shouldn't going around calling someone who was trying to help you with the problem you caused (the cavity) a monster.
Yes, but my tooth is wiggly and it really is painful.
Can we buy desensitisers and do it ourselves? Sorry, its all new to me. I had my dentist do it but it's worn off after around 3 months. Would be great if I can do it myself to hold off from a root canal. Do you have any recommendations? Thanks for the video and info!
I don't think you can buy the professional desensitizers yourself. But Sensodyne toothpaste does help with this type of sensitivity. It's not perfect, and it takes time, but it does help some. It might be a month of brushing before you notice a difference.
@@austinartisticdental2400 thank you 🙏
Homeo pills do help
I have taken sweet candies frequently for 3 days. After that continuousky i have pain in left side. Not able to locate where. Occurs frequently in the night, not all time. Can yoi tell me why?
I can't tell you why for sure. A cavity wouldn't be caused just be 3 days of candies. Grinding occurs are night and sometimes can make sensitivity worse. Infections also sometimes hurt worse at night for people, though I can't give you a reason for that.
Yeah, I have this problem. I went to do a deep cleaning 3 weeks ago. The pain is lessened but it still bother when foods got between those 2 teeth. Beside using desensitized products. What are the best solutions?
Any update
I had a filling on front tooth 2 months ago. No pain until 2 days ago. Feels like I got hit in the mouth. Sore to touch. Throbbing pain. Any idea if this will just go away?
How did you fix this please Tracey I have the same problem right now
Ive got it on my right side and its painful should i avoid eating on that side
Same I’m in pain
That's true it only hurts if they been there for years and years.
My wisdom tooth feels senestive and it feels wobbly but it isnt wobbly. like is that sensation normal. i have terrible teeth anxiety so could my anxiety make the sensation on my tooth worse i dont grind my teeth but i used too when i was like 5 i clench my teeth
sometimes but rarely
Im going to the dentist Tuesday so at lest they will tell me what it is
I don't have root recession and suffer from sudden electric shooting tooth pain. Fibromyalgia. If you are a FM sufferer, you may also have dental pain out of the blue with no obvious "cause".
Sorry to hear that
@@austinartisticdental2400 thank you, that's sweet of you. In reality, it's good to know the cause of the pain ! At least one can take medication accordingly 🙂
Omg, I have this problem in one particular tooth for about 4 years. It first pre molar on top on the left side. When I touch the gum line area there is a pain. And The pain is always suddenly coming every month for at least 3 days, it really hurt. The pain goes to my left eye. My migrain medicine help little bit for the pain. I've been using sensodyne for my toothpaste but it doesn't work. I've been to 7 different dentist, they check my tooth and did the X-ray, all of them said my tooth is good, no cavity no infection. They did not do anything about it, except told me to use sensodyne. I am also start using nightguard too when I sleep. But still, the pain not gone and unbearable. One last doctor referred me to go to endodontist to do Root Canal? Should I do it, I am not interested in Root canal. is there anything else that I can do? Please, I am desperate for help. I am 8 weeks pregnancy now, I don't want to keep taking medicine all the time.
@@anakbetawinomaden how are you now ? Did you find a way out
It's might be a little gum recession, exposing the root of the tooth a little. But if it hurts that badly, then there is probably a crack in the tooth. If the crack is deep enough then it might need a root canal. Crack pain will often come and go and only hurt if you bite on something at just the right angle and hardness of food. Sometimes it will stay similar for years, other times it will get worse. If the pain is persistent and can isolated and replicated at the dental office, then usually I start with a crown to prevent the crack from spreading. If it still hurts, then a root canal may be needed.
one of my molar used to hurt when I used to bite on something hard, but now it hurts if I chew a lot also. No cavity is there. What can be the reason? Please help. Also, my one incisor is shorted than the other three, and when I move my tongue on that incisor from left to right it feels weird, like it's shaking but when I touch it using my finger it is completely solid and fixed. I have started facing all these issues suddenly. Please tell what can be the reason.
Is that something related to brain or what because as long as he said most cavity doesn't hurt and then explained I felt like I have no pain... Maybe I am making me think it's paining
So what about the tooth I had a filling in? It is really random but sometimes it feels sore. It will last a few hours or a day and it goes away. It feels like the sensitivity is coming from the center of the tooth not the outside. Btw my filling was a couple years ago
There may be a new cavity around or under the old filling. The old filling could have been really deep and near the nerve. When that happens on some occasions the nerve will die and eventually cause an infection that will hurt. And sometimes that won't happen for years.
Thats what I found online too but when they did an x ray the next time i went in for routine stuff it looked like it wasn't that deep? I would think they would check if they saw something on the X ray so i never mentioned it to them, and because it happens so rarely
hello doc ! What is GLUMA bond ? can you explain it and how much is the cost
Gluma is a professional desensitizer. Used under fillings/crowns by some dentists. I use it sometimes. It's been around forever. Also one of many products that are used on those sensitive chip/abfraction areas I mention in the video. It helps a little but is not magic, and doesn't work 100%. There are better products for those sensitive/abfraction areas imho.

hope you got help. if you didnt, call ambulance.
Hope you're feeling better. Definitely go see a physician or dentist.
Hi doc after doing my deep cavity filling its almost 3rd week I took antibiotics but still hurting a lot what can i do
Have same issue wat do
Mine comes and goes after a deep filling. My dentist told me the gums around the deep filling will get sensitive like that from time to time.
That's not that true always. I had very small cavity and I instantly felt pain. My dentist said it was really small cavity
My teeth was fine it still is no cavity no crack no gum rescession but still pain my mom says i brush too hard
Highly unlikely. Brushing too hard is what we used to think caused all gum recession. Now we know it's mostly caused by bite and grinding/clenching.
I have a groove, sensitive tooth - dentist put a desensitizer which helped 60%. But tooth hurts due to groove - what’s the treatment for it or will it be better over time with fluoride and sensodyne toothpaste??
Usually causes by clenching ( i know that’s weird), sometimes it will go away with Sensodyne and a nightguard, but if persistent you can put a filling over it which will help with sensitivity
@@austinartisticdental2400 I was in excruciating pain with 1st lower molar (30). It didn't make sense that is was a cavity. I take immaculate care of my teeth. While waiting to see a Dentist over a long holiday weekend during the Pandemic, I spooked myself into imagining it might be my trigeminal nerve. After paying a King's Ransom for emergency appointment, it turned out to be all the clenching I was doing. Not only was Pandemic a source of stress, I was also going through a nasty divorce and horrible death of a parent leading to med mal suit. So yeah clenching alone can cause insane pain. It resolved after doing a lot of yoga, meditation, sleeping a ton, and getting a mouthguard. Thank you for this video, I don't think many people know clenching can cause such pain.
It’s a suddenly happened!
My Tooth Hurts very bad too im having trouble eating it feels like somone is stabbing me in the gums
Definitely go to a dentist.
